We are but one

As they walked through the field next to the school Mike told Raymond everything he knew about the events that happened the day before. Raymond couldn't believe his ears, he knew it was no regular school day for him but he had no idea the extent of what transpired. Mike told him he apparently passed out after yelling some stuff about the network being breached. Upon hitting the floor he blacked out for a bit then got back up in a dream state talking about how the world was done for. He kept saying something about how the ai is everything, everyone and everywhere. Anyone that got close to Raymond he would look at with intense hate, even pushing the teacher Ms. Perkins. Cops showed up, ambulance and all. After about 10 minutes of yelling about some ai and the end of the world Raymond passed out again and was taken to the ambulance. Later his parents would arrive and take him home, that's about all Mike knew.


To Raymond, this was more than just a surprise. He actually knew what Mike was saying. Not the actions or what happened, but about the ai. It was the reoccurring dream that Raymond had been having for god knows how long now. He only learned today this had been a reoccurring dream but the more Mike spoke the more Raymond remembered. The more Raymond rememberd, the more he began to question why his parents never said anything. "That explains this morning" Raymond said I'm a low and concerned tone. Before Mike could answer, Raymond's phone started to vibrate in the pocket of his jeans. "It's my dad? .. OH FUCK" In that moment Raymond realized he should be in class.


The phone call involved a lot of back and forth but Raymond's father wasn't angry, more concerned. At the end of the call he asked his father why he never said anything about the day before and his response was "We'll talk at home, take a cab home and use the day to rest. I'll let the office know you'll be going home"
