Worlds Have Connected

Amaya slowly opened her eyes and sat up. Under her, she felt a comfortable and soft feeling. She was on a bed with blue blankets and blue pillows. Amaya sat in confusion as she saw blue white painted walls and smooth wood floors. This was her house. She quickly stood up and began questioning everything.

"What happened? Was everything I did just a dream?"

She then looked over to her dresser. It was big sized and was made of polished wood. On it, there was a small object with a screen, it was her phone. She walked over and grabbed it as she squeezed the power button. The screen lit up, showing all of her apps. Amaya looked at the top and noticed the time.

(8:45 A.M)

She let out a sigh as she sat back down on her bed.

"I guess it was all a dream."

After feeling accomplishment in her dream, she was disappointed to find out that it was all fake and never happened.

She then got up and walked over to her closet, pulling it open.

Amaya stood there staring at a variety of clothes. Most of them looked plain looking as she was not the type of girl to dress for attention.

She grabbed a grey shirt off one of the hangers and a dark pair of jeans.

After getting ready, she walked over to her front door and kneeled down as she put on a white pair of shoes. She quickly tied her shoes then stood back up as she opened her door.

"My only plan is to go to the store and get something to head then head back."

Sometime Later…. Amaya walked through the city. There were tall buildings and cars driving in the street. Every person that passed would stare at her in surprise. Amaya noticed the eyes of others but tried not to look back.

She began thinking to herself.

"Why does everyone keep looking at me crazy? I get that I'm not dressed fancy but I'm also not dressed that bad either."

She then arrived at a small shop with two glass doors that had no handle. Amaya walked up to the doors as they opened on their own.

As she walked in, she grabbed a small red basket with a handle and lifted it. Amaya began walking through the aisles picking out food and placing it in the basket.

"That should be enough food to last me the whole week." She thought to herself.

She then walked up to a register and began placing her food on the counter. The cashier scanned the food then spoke.

"Your total is forty dollars and sixty-five cents"

"Give me a second." Amaya replied.

She then reached into her pocket and pulled out a black wallet as she opened it up, she pulled out 5 ten-dollar bills. Amaya placed them on the counter as she grabbed her bags. She then walked out of the shop as the cashier called out to her.

"Wait, Ma'am. Your change."

Amaya continued walking as she did not notice the cashiers call.

As she walked, she noticed that people were still looking at her.

Amaya had no clue as to why every person she passed would look at her.

The reason was her snow white hair

"Really, what did I do to be stared at." She thought to herself.

Amaya continued picking up her walking pace in order to get home faster.

After walking for countless blocks, She stopped and sat on the edge of the sidewalk to take a breather.

Amaya looked up at the sky as she thought to herself.

"It's only been one night but it feels like it's been forever since I've been back home."

She then looked across the street. There was a walking park with lots of grass and beautiful green trees. People would walk through the park along with their dogs. Amaya then noticed four boys playing soccer on the grass.

As they kicked the ball around, She thought to herself.

"It must be great to be a kid. You don't have to worry about working or paying bills. You can also hang out with your friends almost everyday. I can't relate though."

Growing up, Amaya didn't have too many friends and for the most part, the other kids disliked her.

She let out a sigh.

"Well, I guess I better get going."

Amaya then stood up. As she was about to start walking, one of the boys kicked the ball into the middle of the road.

"I'll go get it." One of them shouted.

The boy ran into the road and bent over, grabbing the ball. As he stood back up, a horn honked loudly. It was a truck. The boy turned his head towards it as it got closer and closer.

['Burst' has been activated]

A violent burst of wind shook the air around. The truck slammed on its brakes. The door opened as a man stepped out. He then ran over to the front of the truck but to his surprise, there was nothing or no-one there.

Across the street, was a girl with snow white hair holding the boy that once stood in the middle of the road. The girl was none other than Amaya.

She released the boy and placed him back on his feet.

The other boys were all surprised and so was the man with the truck.

Amaya scolded the boy as he stood in surprise.

"What were you thinking? You could have gotten hurt or maybe even killed. Never, run into a busy street like that. Als-"

She then stopped as she had barely realized what she had done.

Thoughts rushed through her head.

"How did I even move that fast? What's going on? It shouldn't have been possible to move that fast."

The boy then spoke.

"T-Thank you Miss. Are you actually a hero?"

Amaya shook her head as she patted the boy's head.

"No, I'm just a normal person in this normal world."

It was a lie. Amaya was no normal person.

The boy then replied.

"M-Miss, what's your name?"

Amaya then took her hand off of the boy's head.

"My name…. is Amaya. Sorry, but I have to head home now, kid."

She then turned around and walked off.

The boy wore a confused, yet surprised look on his face.

"...Oh."

As Amaya arrived back home, she quickly opened the door and went in, closing the door behind her.

"What happened back there? Why was I able to move that fast?

Moments like that shouldn't have been possible."

She noticed something in the top right corner of her view.

Below that was something else.

(Mp: 12,501,888)

Amaya's eyes widened in surprise as she realized that the other world she once went to was not a dream.

"So...the other world was real?!"

She then sat down against the door as she continued thinking.

"This Is really happening. I can do so much having strength and speed like this. Wait...I never checked out what that world gates skill was."

['Analyze' has been activated]

(World Gate: A skill that allows you to travel between realms and worlds. To travel between worlds, you must link together their natural properties. After doing so, you will be able to travel between the world that you have connected, but they will share natural properties.)

"Seems pretty risky. If I did that, then would monsters start existing here too? Wait, If I'm here then does that mean the two worlds have already been linked?"

Amaya slowly stood up.

['World Gate' has been activated]

"Disconnect worlds."

A message came up into view.

[Are You sure you want to disconnect worlds? Doing so would result in natural disasters and other worldly beings.]

(Yes/No)

"What? Other worldly beings? Natural disasters? So either way something is going to happen?"

She then realized the grave danger that lied ahead of the world.

It was not her fault as she did not activate the skill to come back to her world. How she came back was unknown, but with the two worlds linked together meant that monsters could start appearing at any time.

Amaya then replied to the questions.

"No."

The message disappeared.

She began thinking of ways to solve the problem but nothing seemed reasonable.

"Maybe, I can go back and tell Katsu I'm really from another world. I could ask for his help. No, I can make a squad to monitor strange occurrences here. Even C-ranks should be way stronger than the average human. Katsu is easily on the level of maybe an S-rank so it'll help out a lot if I can get him to come back."

['World Gate' has been activated]

A glowing blue portal appeared right before Amaya's eyes.

It's glow was mystical, unlike the other portals she had seen before.

"It's time for my next big quest, saving the world."

Amaya then walked into the portal as it disappeared.

-------------------------------

(Other World)

A bright blue portal appeared in the middle of a forest. A girl with snow white hair walked out from it, Amaya.

Ever since her first time in this world she had come a long way.

Amaya let out a sigh as she heard footsteps coming from behind.

"Let me guess, monsters."

She then turned around and saw three tall bear-looking creatures. They had dark-black fur and claws that were four to five inches long. Their eyes gleamed red.

(Shadow Bear: Level: 367 Hp: 2,345 Intelligence:11 Mp: 786 Atk:543 Speed: 111 Endurance: 97)

Amaya held out her hand as a blue bladed dagger appeared.

She gripped it tightly as she began walking towards them.

"I remember when monsters like this would have been a challenge for me."
