Whatever it Takes

Katsuki Bakugo cursed as the damn little ballerina spun around before he could respond to her bold teasing.

She was almost faced the opposite way before she was practically knocked over by the Monkey crashing into her. He steadied her and grinned sheepishly, before removing his hands.

"Oops, sorry Olivia! Hitoshi and I were just worried about you when the alarm went off. I know how you both can have an issue with sounds like that,"

Sounds? Is that her quirk? Maybe she's like Earlobe or something. Did this 'Hitoshi' extra also share her type of quirk? Maybe that's why she has -poorly installed- sound proof panels in her room. The Monkey did mention when they first met that Hitoshi had them too.

"and everyone suddenly being that close to you must have been hard on you."

Well, at least it has a range, maybe. Katsuki would have to remember that for when he finally got to fight the little trouble maker.

Touched by her friend's concern, she replied, "Bells aren't the same, luckily. I managed all right," Yeah, thanks to him. "All thanks to my handy dandy water bottle-"

He fumed, that ungrateful little princess! He was suddenly happy he tossed the damn thing over his shoulder in the panic, he grumbled. Kirishima came over and joined him, handing Katsuki his hero costume case with a knowing grin as he looked between him and Red suggestively. He let out a 'tch' but nodded in thanks.

Little Red reached into her bag to show Monkey the bottle, and a comically surprised expression came over her face when she realized she was empty handed. She whirled around to face him as he took the capsule from Kirishima. "Bakugo! What did you do with my water bottle?!"

Katsuki didn't even bother trying to hide his smirk when he replied, "I got rid of that poison, your liver should be thanking me. You'll just have to manage like all the rest of us." He didn't care what Recovery Girl said, no one needed alcohol, that was pathetic.

Her mouth dropped open, "Wow! You owe me a new one then, you jerk!"

"Yeah yeah, whatever, damn Princess." He waved dismissively over his shoulder as he walked away toward the bathrooms to change. He heard her huff behind him and smiled. Too damn easy to rile her up. Restoring the peace had put him in a good mood. He could go back to finding ways to get her to talk about herself now.

The warm drinks were a plus too.

He pulled on his costume pretty quickly, letting the black cargo pants hang on his hips as he reached down to pull the knee pads on. He let out a sour 'tch' at the red accent color. Just like her damn hair. That shit couldn't be natural, even if she was American. If Kirishima managed to dye his, he's willing to bet she dyed hers as well. He leaned up and worked on his mask, smudging the charcoal in his pocket around the edges until it all blended in.

Katsuki wasn't thrilled about the training today, but at least he'd get to wear his gauntlets. Not that it mattered since he wouldn't be allowed to use them, he scoffed. His quirk wasn't meant for any damn rescue. He'd leave that to the other extras. He was meant to be the number one hero that always won against the bad guy, no matter how strong they were. This would be a damn waste of his time, he just knew it. Still cursing under his breath, he started walking back to the group. He looked up and saw Red walking in front of him and he felt his feet stop moving. Damn, she wasn't half bad.

Her red hair was up in a ponytail, the shorter strands loose and framing her face. She had headphones over her ears, confirming her quirk must be sound based. She had a hydration pack on her back, which threw him off. If her quirk was sound based, why did she need water? Maybe it's like Present Mic's annoying quirk or something.

Red turned around and stared at him in surprise. He didn't bother hiding the fact he was checking out the rest of her costume, and smirked. It was like his childhood dream came true and Laura Croft walked off his TV screen. Similar to the video game character, Red had more than a few weapons on her person, most of them on the utility belt hanging on her waist or strapped tightly to her legs. Her well fitting cargo pants had pockets that looked full, and she had combat boots that made her look a little taller.

As he looked up, he caught her eyes on his body as well. Her cheeks were flushing red, and as he smirked at her reaction, they got even redder. She definitely looked the most attractive when she was blushing, he decided, appreciating the sight. His satisfaction was short lived though, as she quickly spun on her heel and started mobbing it back to the group. He easily caught up to her, of course, and decided to see if he could get the blush to return before they had to board the bus.

"Not bad, little Red. Raiding a tomb later or something?" He teased as he fell into step with her, hands in his pockets. She rolled her eyes, apparently recovered from earlier. Damn, that usually worked.

"Planning on using my hair color as inspiration again for your next design?" She shot back. He cursed. Of course she had noticed that the red accents on his outfit matched her hair, how could she not? They probably looked like some stupid hero duo. His only saving grace was that he didn't know her when he sent in his design.

He opened his mouth to respond, but an annoying ass whistle was blown by that Glasses nerd instead. The shrill high pitched sound made Red twitch next to him, and he was pretty sure he understood her quirk now.

"Gather around, Class 1-A! Using your student numbers, create two straight lines-"

"We're all adults, Iida." Red interrupted, clicking one of the buttons Katsuki hadn't noticed on her gloves, "Plus, it's not that kind of bus."

"What?! Like, how do you know that?" Pinky asked, leaning around Kirishima. Katsuki smirked at the way Kirishima's ears turned red at her proximity. Damn sap. So that's the reason he's been forced to sit with that annoyingly clingy group.

"Because they're here." Little Red pointed out as the bus turned the corner of the building they were standing by. If she had a hearing quirk and voice quirk, it made sense she could hear the bus. Was she just pulling Glasses' turboed leg when she mentioned the layout then? There's no reason a sound quirk would tell her that.

"I see, I suppose the outside of this bus does differ from a regular one, keen perception, Olivia-san!" Glasses rallied, nodding seriously.

Ponytail, Icyhot, Monkey, Bird Face and Deku all looked at Glasses in disbelief and Red rubbed the back of her neck. Katsuki's expression darkened as he realized even Deku and Icyhot knew her quirk and he didn't. That's it, he's finding it out today, even if it kills him.
