"AAAAAaaAAAAaaAAAAALLLLLLLLL"
Everyone stopped and covered their ears and Mashirao lunged for the door with his tail.
"LLLLRRRRIIIiiiiIIIIIiiIIGGGGHTTTT!" A booming voice yelled through the dorms, causing the walls to shake even the panels on her wall. If that damaged them and she had to reinstall them...
Star felt her breathing get faster as the continuous ringing in her ears got so much louder and she reached blindly for the first person she could. When her fingers touched sweaty skin a wave of confusion and irritation and grumbling hit her, accompanied by flashes of many thoughts and moods instead of the clear continuous lines of thoughts she's used to. It was like watching 5 movies at the same time, each over lapping each other.
It was NOT helping with experiencing auditory sensory overload AT ALL.
"EVERY-"
Mashirao slammed her door shut before sinking down and rubbing his ears. All of them released their ears, panting.
"-ONE COME ON DOOooOOooWN!" The charismatic voice continued, now mostly muffled.
Star looked at Mashirao and noticed her hand wasn't touching him. Her eyes followed her arm, to her wrist, and to her fingers, landing on the intruder who was now also on the ground after losing his balance when the walls shook.
His spiky hair seemed to mimic the spiking and chaos in his mind. Even while on the ground, he still looked so so much taller than her. He had sweat all over his hands, and her eyes trailed up, catching sight of his broad chest and muscles before he finally untensed. He was well built and his sweat seemed to outline that-
Star felt another spike from him, along with satisfaction and annoyance both directed at her and not at her? How weird that it wasn't very clear, maybe she over drank? She looked up and let out an 'eep!' when she found his sharp features turned up in an intense smirk, his burning crimson gaze already boring into her eyes.
Blood fluuuushed to her face, and she let go of his warm arm as if the unnaturally hot temperature burned her, quickly and childishly scooting away into the safety of Mashirao's foot.
His intense, curious eyes raised the heat around them as he took in her blush. "Like what you see, Red?" He teased while sending her a smoky smirk. Like a predator focused on his prey, he leaned in towards her-
Suddenly the world was more topsy turny then normal, and Star realized Mashirao had pulled her up with him as he stood. While she attempted to regain her bearings and calm her flustered self, Mashirao offered a hand to Spikes, who 'tch'ed and pushed himself up using his fist. It was quite the power move and his intense gaze took on more of a glare, keeping the expression leveled at Mashirao as he rose.
He moved so effortlessly, as if every movement was a pre-thought out plan of attack. Mashirao stood slightly shorter than the newcomer, though both towered over her, but still held his own as he faced the man's arrogant gaze.
"I apologize for the misunderstanding, I'm also a student here." Mashirao explained with a tight smile, wanting to keep the peace. "Olivia was just unhappy about having to pay me back with food after helping her and Hitoshi install these in their rooms."
He gestured to the sound proof panels that saved them from the worst of the loud quirk, and Star felt uncomfortable that they were pointed out. They were colored to seem more like normal paneling with dimensions, and blended in well with her cheesy 'American female in her 20s' room. It had been a year since she had been able to settle in somewhere and decorate, and she might've gone overboard...
Star was finally seeing straight and breathing normally, so she decided that now would be the perfect time to cut off whatever Spikes was going to say. If she were sober and more mature, she would take a hint from Mashirao's mind.
But, she wasn't.
"I'm also sorry."
And if there were any two traits Star could truthfully claim, it was being drunk, and being childish.
"I'm sorry for you assuming the worst, knocking me over, and causing a scene before we could expl-"
Mashirao quickly put his hand over her mouth as the new guy's face got redder and redder, before opening the door and pulling her outside with him. Her liquid courage spurred her on while she struggled against Mashirao, wanting to finish defending him against the spiky and chaotic minded, possibly very attractive, man that barged into their lives.
"I assume we're all needed downstairs, let's go now, yeah?" Mashirao's words tumbled out quickly, a drastic difference from his usually casual voice.
Huffing against his well practiced grip, she tried to lick his hand in vain, uncaring about how childish it may make her look. It didn't work though, and she scrunched up her face at the taste of metal coating his hands from the nails. She really didn't think that one through…
They were in the elevator now, and he held the door open for the other college student. Such an accepting guy, Mashirao is. She didn't need her quirk (not that she was sober enough to use it well anyway) to hear the glowering man's string of curses from outside the elevator as he slammed her door shut and reluctantly joined them.
