GO BEYOND! Plus Ultra: Bonus 3

The elevator started descending and Star was still trying to slap away Mashirao's hand. Not as much out of annoyance now, but more out of boredom. As the taller man's sharp gaze met her own, she couldn't help her impulse to make a face at him.

Her pulse raced as he seemed to take it as a challenge, taunting her by making faces in return. He seemed to be equally attractive both when he was serious, and when he was teasing, irritating her. And why the heck did he call her Red? Her hair? Was she seriously living next to this bold man?

As the elevator made it to the first floor, Star was secretly thankful for Mashirao's touch helping to block out the many voices and buzzing that she was about to walk into. She almost stopped him from taking his hand off her mouth as the elevator dinged open, but took one look at the smirk on Spike's face, and defiantly decided against it.

Spikes raised his eyebrow at her, and she realized she hadn't looked away from him. She got whiplash from how quickly she glanced away, losing some of her liquid courage and praying he couldn't see her flushed face. She tried listening for him just to make sure he didn't, but realized she probably took one too many drinks since all she got was buzzing.

This was confirmed for her when she picked up buzzings of annoyance and other buzzings of excitement as they walked towards the two older men standing in the common room. Immediately, the older version of Hitoshi with black hair stopped what he was saying to the casual looking DJ man and looked over at her, hair raising around his head. She felt everything go blissfully silent and literally sagged in relief. Mashirao glanced at her in surprise, before looking at the tired man and recognizing the hero Hitoshi talked about to them.

The silence was unlike anything she could describe. It was heaven. She hadn't felt like this since before she was taken two months ago. She was hyper aware of the low ringing in her ears, an unfortunately permanent result of her quirk use during capture, but she was a-okaaaaay with this alternative.

It crossed her mind that there was probably a reason he didn't want her to use her quirk in that moment, but she didn't dwell on the thought since she was too drunk to hear it anyway. She was interrupted from her bliss filled thoughts by a gasp from across the room.

A shorter green haired man with lean muscles on his thin build started speaking so rapidly, that for a second she was concerned her quirk wasn't erased after all. Turning back to the sleepy man, she glared suspiciously.

"I know you, you're the underground Pro, the Erasure Hero: Eraser Head! You're able to erase anyone's quirk when they're in your line of sight and recently gained attention from your part in helping rescue the two that were kidna-"

The laid back hero at Eraser Head's side let out a loud, amused laugh. As Eraser Head's hair fell back down and his tired gaze moved to the laughing Pro, Star felt all the buzzing of words and feelings and everything else come back full force and groaned against the pressure. Even though she had prepared for this and drank for this, the feeling was still one she hadn't dealt with since…

She frowned, looking for Mashirao. He was there, listening to whatever the DJ was saying, but he had stepped away when releasing her and was juuust out of reach. Taking a step back, she let her shoulder brush against his, and allowed herself to zone out as she concentrated on his mind.

The two older men identified themselves as teachers, the loud one heading out after introductions. Apparently his only need to be there was to burst everyone's eardrums before the first day. How pleasant.

The teacher who remained kept talking, and she frowned as she didn't catch everything, getting distracted at inopportune moments. Drinking definitely had some drawbacks. She was confident she got the gist though. Something about every room having a fridge, AC, balcony, closet- she felt slightly ashamed when she thought about her own closet, but oh well.

She missed who was on her floor, though. Hmm maybe she hadn't gotten the gist. She'd ask Mashirao later, or just find out as she goes. Not like she'd recognize the names anyway before the first day of school even started. Not like she'd recognize them even after the first day either, but eh, who's keeping track anyway?

"Your first task will be to decide on a class representative." Tired man said, looking over the gathered students. Excited mummers broke out among them and Star felt Bakugo shift next to her, leaning in to listen.

"But we barely know each other, ribbit." A woman with a frog mutant quirk pointed out.

Star and Mashirao exchanged a look, both of them knowing she would be a great solution to that problem if she wasn't drunk. She also turned to the teacher, who was giving her a hard look that she couldn't read in her current state. Star frowned. The teacher broke eye contact and started walking away.

"Whatever, just let me know by class tomorrow." The teacher casually added over his shoulder, and then shut the door behind him. As the students all started speaking, Star wasn't surprised by the yell next to her.

"Tch, you're all justa buncha extras, I'm the strongest here so I'm the best for the job!" Spike's voice rose above the rest as he glared around the room.

"SILENCE, EVERYONE, PLEASE!"
