Suddenly everyone was engulfed in a bright light as they were overcome with a sense of nausea and blacked out.
When I awoke I was floating in what seemed to be an endless void of nothing, a pitch black abyss that seemingly spanned on forever.
I looked around for a few seconds before a blue transparent screen popped up in front of my face.
| Welcome to the [Player Creation Area], this is where you will choose your beginner skills and distribute your Stat points |
After I finished reading it the screen changed to a Status page.

I stared intently at the status page for a minute before asigning my points. As a ranger I should traditionally have a high STR and AGI stat, I should also have a low DEF and END in order to counter that as well. I assigned 14 points each to STR and AGI, I then added 10 points each to INT, END and DEF leaving 2 points for CHA as I didn't feel I really needed any Charisma for my role as the ranger.
I looked at my stats, quite satisfied before I clicked on the Skills tab.
| Skills : None
As a new Player you have the right to pick 1 intermediate skill and 4 basic skills from the list below |
What followed this statement was a long list of skills of the intermediate and basic levels. I started to scroll through them for a few minutes before finding what I wanted. I noticed before on my status page that I had an affinity for the ice element so I chose an intermediate ice spell that would compliment the ranger battle style.
| Frost Shot - Intermediate skill - Ice Element - Shoots a condensed projectile of ice towards the target from a ranged weapon, causing frost damage - Damage = ATKx2 - 20% Chance of inflicting the [Frozen] debuff - M/P cost = 20 |
This was a pretty good skill, especially considering that I was only a level 0. I could already tell that this skill would be used a lot in the future. I continued scrolling through the basic skills before deciding upon three skills.
| Empowered shot - Basic skill - Null Element - Charges a projectile with M/P, increasing the the damage output - Damage = ATK+M/P input - M/P cost = changeable |
| Observation - Basic skill - Null Element - Checks the basic status of an object or being - M/P cost = 1 |
| Critical Target - Basic skill - Null Element - Places a target on an enemy which stays there until the enemy is defeated, hitting the target will deal 2x the damage - M/P cost = 30 |
I felt that these were some of the better skills on there. There were other skills but I felt like I could learn them later on, plus some of them kind of sounded like class-specific skills so I should be able to unlock them somehow.
Anyway once I finished selecting my skills another window opened up.
| All items brought with the Player will be turned into objects of the world of Igoria. All objects can be exchanged now for common currency or you can exchange it with an item of equal value and use |
I was speechless for a minute after that but I realised that it made sense. Maybe some people had got there hands on some hightech gear or something which maybe couldn't function in the so called world of Igoria. So it would be u fare if they died straight away due to their equipment not working.
I pulled up the exchange window and started dumping in everything I had. I hesitated when it came to my bow but I knew that they wouldn't let me take it to the other world so I exchanged it too.
I looked at the options given to me and decided to exchange the things that I did not need immediately for money, like my bullet head arrows or most of my clothes which I was wearing.
The bow could be exchanged for one of four things being money or a D rank Slingshot, Bow or Musket. Of course I chose the bow due to me not being even the slightest bit trained in either one of the other options. I also traded my food for what seemed to be the best, the broadhead arrows for arrows described as [Heavy Arrows] and the wooden shafted arrows for something called [Elven Arrows] which looked quite good.
After I put the three duffel bags in I got an option to get a spatial storage device which was pretty cool, it did however sacrifice some of the space for the convenience of having it on your finger instead of having to carry around three big bags.
It was only an E ranked storage ring so it had 2 cubic metres of space, just enough to fit everything so far, minus the bow and a quiver of arrows.
I placed my protective gear in next and was a little disappointed with the results. It gave me only one option, an F ranked combat suit. It looked quite weird being made almost completely out of some kind of green stained leather and covering almost every section of the body. It was in three pieces: the top, the bottoms and the boots.
The boots were knee high and looked comfortable, the bottoms kind of resumbled cargo pants with a built in utility belt, and the top was kind of like a leather jacket bit it was very tight fitting and came together with leather straps instead of a zipper.
I equipped all of the new gear and it made me feel stronger. It was then that I realised that the equipment added extra stats to my own. The bow added a +4 to Agility and Strength whilst the combat suit added +1 to my Defence and Stamina.
I had now exchanged everything and was ready for whatever awaited me in the new world of Igoria. I presses the [Ready] button at the bottom of the screen and a window popped up.
| As a new player you will be gifted a [Beginner's Dagger] and a [Basic Canteen], do your best to become stronger in the world of Igoria |
With those words a dagger and a brown canteen appeared on my belt and I was blinded by yet another bright, white light as a sense of nausea came over me as I blacked out.
