A run through course after another, the field was not prepared for a race but every individual was worked out and did not hesitate to charged immediately when they had heard the signal of the major.
The field course was no competition, however, the thought of being left off and falling behind had the same meaning to frail and impotent was imprinted in their minds.
Eddra would lie if he won't say he had a similar way of thinking in the past. And sure, although the field course was made for training, any person had the desire to compete with anyone and complete the courses faster than anybody.
'That is simply exhausting, I don't want to do that again.'
Just by watching the men before him, made him tired and wanted to give in. If only the major along with the superiors were not monitoring them, then he could maybe sneak out the field.
'And this current body of mine can barely run ten miles for three hours...' He could at least complete the fifty miles he had accustomed in four hours, however, presently he could only do ten in four hours.
"Stop slacking off, royal blood!" Eddra heard the major shouting and he gritted his teeth.
'Who's slacking?'
He paced himself along with the men jumping in numbers of hurdles that were followed by crossing the water ditches.
"Fucker! Don't pull me by the collar," someone exclaimed hoarsely beside Eddra.
'This neither a training course nor a race one. Why are they beating each other and tugging a person's shirt and pants?' The participants were becoming more violent than ever. It was just as he remembered.
Effortlessly jumping a fence and falling in the water drench in his feet, he ran past the men who were shouting and tugging.
'How many fences are still there?' Jumping and pacing, ignoring the others from their violet acts, Eddra was starting to feel exhausted.
"These commoners are too noisy. What a bunch of filth," a voice angrily commented. "What? You looking down on me, royal?"
Eddra moved back his head a bit, jolting from the tone and words of the person who ran through him. 'Hotblooded shit and his trash mouth. Is he the one the major beat up earlier?'
Judging from the person's spats, he recollected from his memories. That person could be one of the people the major had beaten up constantly, and of course, Eddra was included to these people.
...
When the steeplechase had finished, the newcomers still had to complete a core strength exercise—a hundred push-ups.
Trying to catch his breath, Eddra looked at the plates by his face: the [Main Quest], the [Side Quest], and the [Daily Quest]. Ignoring the other ones, he surveyed the [Daily Quest]. Now, he needed to do the other requirements since he had already finished one—obviously the push-ups.
Although the major told them they had to rest before they could eat their breakfast, Eddra did not hesitate to start running around the open field.
'This is so tiring...'
If he could remember correctly, after they consumed their morning meal, and passed the half an hour of their rest, they had to swing a practice sword a hundred times.
'Now, I have the advantage in that one.' Eddra's lips were painted with a sad smile. 'And of course, I am still required to do the five hundred swings.'
Finishing his runs, eating his breakfast, and swinging a sword a hundred times—the last thing he needed to do was beat up the practice dummy nowhere near the tents obviously because his hits would draw attention to people since it was too noisy.
Eddra took shade on the trees while he was pushing down the dummy on the ground. It was past midday and he was certain that the major was busy enough to give them any tasks or training this time of the day.
Taking out his wooden sword, he started to hit the practice dummy right away.

'Huh? There are no new features given. Do I have to choose now...?' His guess was he might have acquired every feature needed and the [System] might be done updating itself.
Eddra brought a finger on his choice. 'So, what's left for me to resolve was the quest that showed up last night.'

'I see. I forgot to use my points as well since I am too absorbed with the [Shop],' he hummed with the thought on his head.
Ding!
The landscape plate popped in his face that caused him to jolt in surprise. Eddra felt irritated that the [System] was too sensitive. Even when he was stating a command unknowingly in his mind, the plate would immediately appear.
'How can I find the solution to this problem? Why is it too sensitive?'
He scratched his head in defeat as he hid the [Shop], unable to think of anything to change the sensitivity of the [System] while he simply proceeded to move his finger and brought it on his stats.

'Looking good.' A smug expression was playing on his face straight away when he increased his [Base Stats]. Pleased with his actions, Eddra then hid his [Status].
With nothing else to do throughout the day, he looked at the two other plates left before his eyes. Certainly, he could not advance to the [Main Quest] at the moment since he was not allowed to leave the base without any valid excuses.
"[Map]." He brought a finger and pressed the near light blue dot from his location, letting the voice of an unknown gender read the contents of the plate sliding beside.
[Name: Abysmal Forest
Type: Dungeon (Inhabited)
Upon entering the path, as one wended down deep the 'Abysmal Forest', it would lead one into the hidden darkness of the woods as various creatures—differ in sizes—indwelled the boundless forest and expose oneself in a peril situation.]
'Should I move to this [Side Quest]?' Eddra asked himself, 'I think it would be dangerous, knowing I have not seen a single malformed animal.'
There must be a reason why the world of mages had the strict rule to never summon a creature in the outer world, whether the creatures were a threat to humanity or... just what other reason they had. Even his guts were telling him to never enter a dungeon without any preparation.
"[Dungeon]," he recited the command.
