A Familiar Scene

Sighting the black dragon coming at me with a menacing and cruel smile, I turned to the direction of the ambush.

Using the elemental winds to bolster my speed and the whole strenght of my back muscles, I made sure to make so the big guy would have to put in an effort to catch me.

The chase started off with the black dragon plunging in a frightening speed to arrive above me.

'Damn, no matter how quick the steps one man take, a giant's single step makes for ten of his.' I cursed at the fact that even with my enhanced speed I was barely on lead, and as soon as the big guy reached a moderate altitude above me he started to flap his wings making him go even faster.

Seeing as there would be no way to reach the ambush by going in like this I changed my tactics.

Doing close turns and changing my direction made for a very effective way to both get him off my tail and enrage my apparently very irritable senpai, making him start to throw fireballs bigger than myself in the process.

The fire was very strong, if not for me being nimble and his angle of shooting being poor at best I bet my holy shield could barely tank two of his shots before breaking while in the middle of the second shot.

While it was getting intense and I started to sweat internally, I finally could see the ambush site. Considering the fact that my pursuer was in a rage akin to frenzy there good chances at him failing neatly in it.

-----

Both figures approached the ambush site, the silver drake at the front and the black behemoth on the back, the black dragon could clearly take half of the drake in a single bite if he caught up.

Selia was also among the ambushers, as she would never agree to Theo doing both the baiting and fighting alone. She could tolerate not being a burden to him by acting as bait along side him, but would not let him keep her from the fight.

Seeing her lover dancing in the edge of danger once again, she let out a sigh, it was not the first nor the last, but she felt that he would jump into any type of danger as long as he felt he had a chance.

She didn't have such grand ambitions as her lover, she just wanted peace and a life without the torture and abuse she suffered, she wanted a safe environment where she could read and learn what she wanted to. She would most likely feel at home among the blue dragons.

Seeing the speed their chase was taking she briefly feared that the plan would go awry, because it was fairly hard to hit such a fast target with the machine they prepared, even if the target was a dragon close to 9 meters in length.

Her fear didn't last long, for soon she saw two large enchanted bladed glaives who tore the leather wings of the black dragon, making him fumble and spin in the air before it hit the ground making a path soon of fallen trees and a long dirty path on the ground.

----

'Its finally happening... sister, watch over me as I take justice for you.' She then let out a whistle to let others know to surround and kill Fearion the Dreadful. The day where all his debt was paid in full had come.

----

Theo watched as his pursuer plummeted towards the ground in high fashion, even if he tried hard he would find hard to emulate such a fall.

Weird talent to have, but certainly dramatic, so I shouldn't let him have all the attention right? I've been wanting to test my mettle against a real challenge, now is the time to do so.

As I flew back and was joined by a glaring Selia, which I gave a wry smile towards, we soon joined the surrounding group who was already confronting the big guy.

The elves were not a group used to taking hits and fighting in a display of brute force, rather they users skilled formations and group tactics to attract the attention while dodging nimbly while let others shoot the enemies weakness to once again divide the attention of their enemies.

'This is one of the closest thing I've seen in this world to what happened in the game... this looks like a raid.' I thought as I touched to ground ready to unleash a experimental attack I had been planning to do for a while.

Selia also thought that this was a good opportunity to test her most damaging spells as she readily got to casting, making the mana around her crackle very subtly.

'She looks pissed at it, does she always release big spells when mad? I must make sure to not get on her bad side in the future...' I thought while sensing her feeling in spirit atunment

Soon I connected to the lightning, present in the air even if subtly, and the element of fire which raged with eager to destroy. All of those I joined with a dragon breath and holy light, giving the strongest attack I had given since my transmigration.

The attack had many purposes, the main one was obviously to hurt my enemy, which I did try to enhance with the elemental composition in the breath, but I added another thing to my breath, something which I took inspiration of the holy nova which hurts foes and heals allies in the same time.

My breath went with force, I had taken my time to spew the biggest flame I could. It went healing the more burnt elves while at the same time scorching the right eye of the big guy, making it roar in pain and start to trash about, something that would be dangerous for the elfs if they weren't so nimble.

Right on the heels of my breath which was slightly pink with gold due to the attributes I imbued it with, Selia finished casting her spell. And then the night was lit with a meteor which carried a unstable purple hue which looked to be derived from arcane attack spells.

Both, elves, the black dragon and ourselves were shocked to see our attacks to hit the same target, the right side of its head, making so that half of its upper face was burnt away staggering it for some seconds while it stopped itself from going unconscious from the pain.

The elves didn't let this opportunity go, making sure to use the wound and moment it was stunned to the best of effects.
