Back Home

Algra returned home to his mansion by carriage where he sees his wife, Zenna at the gate, but her expression is looking grim other than happy. Concerned, Algra quickly exit the carriage and held her bare shoulders.

"Zenna, what happened?" Algra said.

"It's Terzo...he's badly injured." Zenna replied. "Vega is with him when it happened."

"Lead me to him." Algra said. Zenna led him inside where Terzo, who is seemingly strong, wielding a great sword and muscular body. However, he is covered with injuries ranging from cuts to burns with his blood staining the bandages. Vega on the other hand is seemingly unscathed.

"Terzo, Vega, what happened?" Algra said.

"We've been ambushed. As I was heading back, a group of White Swans came out of the forests and surrounded me. I fought back and took out most of 'em, but that one guy ain't no pushover." Terzo said.

"When and where did this happen?" Algra said.

"Last night in the Durze Forest, east from here." Terzo replied.

"That's somewhat close to Eirach. Who is the one that injured you?"

"He had short blond hair, wears a blue suit and a cape like yours, but it's red. I managed to hurt him and turn tail, but I took the most beating."

"His name is Kenneth Malton, born in Iveria as a noble. I know that blue outfit from anywhere." Algra answered. "But why would he be near Teraxa? Not to mention, that attack is far too coincidental."

"This could mean one thing. They're making their move." Vega said.

"Then I'll reach Xaiver personally to proceed with the deal of joining us immediately. Zenna, can you pick Indux up in my stead?" Algra said.

"Yes I will." Zenna said.

"Vega, you're coming with me in case I were to get ambushed. The rest will tend to Terzo's wounds." Algra commanded.

"I wanna have a rematch--urgh!" Terzo said as he began to stand, but groaned from the sharp pain in his chest.

"You are in no condition to move, so rest here and let my servants treat you. Besides, it wouldn't be the same without you." Algra said, sitting Terzo down.

"Ugh...if you say it like that, fine, I'll stay. Just get it done." Terzo said reluctantly. Algra gestures Vega to follow him to the carriage, but it is not a luxurious carriage both him and his son rode, it is but an ordinary brown carriage being towed by a reddish brown horse. He grabbed two long brown coats to wear it to prevent recognition of his infamy from his faction and sat on the carriage at the front. Vega knocked in the carriage.

"I'm ready." Vega said.

"Then let us move." Algra said and cracked the reins and the single horse began to move.

{Few minutes later...}

Algra and Vega enters the very forest Terzo was in and got attacked by the opposing faction. Terzo who is a Master Class Earth user, skilled in swordsmanship was put in a state where he couldn't continue. The enemy who came wearing that blue suit and red cape must be a formidable opponent, but his higher priority is to reach Xavier who is in Lyse, northwest of Millund.

"Vega." Algra called.

"Yeah?" Vega replied.

"How is your daughter?"

"She is like the moonlight. She has my hair, but got her mother's eyes and her Lightning element." Vega said as he pulls out a white locket and opens it, revealing the picture of his wife and baby daughter.

"Just for you to know, my son wanted to see you."

"Your son, Indux?" Vega said, Algra nodded.

"Well, it's not like he seen pirates in person before...or an assassin."

"Also, is your wife and daughter okay with you being part of the Black Fangs?"

"It's more like she joined as well by the time she became my fiance. But I don't know about my daughter though, she's a baby. Why are you asking?" Vega asked to Algra.

"It's because...if we're unable to end the war and reignites itself, I want you to take my son and my wife to Eirach and have them lay low there. Even if he grew up to resent me, I hope he can at least find a way to live normally." Algra said, looking up the morning sky that is being blocked by the tall trees of the forest, wearing a slightly sorrowful expression.

"Don't worry. I'll keep them safe. Try not to die." Vega said as he smirked.

"Same to you." Algra replied.

The two men laughed as they travel through the dirt path in the forest. Moments later, they have finally reached Lyse and in the distance, they see an orange banner with a symbol resembling a deer that is draping over the mansion, they're certain for sure that is Xavier Orato.

"We have arrived." Algra said. "Now, I hope he has a good reason for being absent for some time."
