Chapter 59 - The Fruit of Training
For the past 14 days, I trained with Blite and Nixie while sometimes with the twins. My skills leveled up by those trainings. My Intermediate Gauntlet Arts and Power Slash are the ones I used when I was training with the twins. Right now they both evolved which I was thankful of. My Gauntlet Arts is now on the Advanced grade while my Power Slash evolved into Extreme Slash.
HP Recovery also leveled up 2 levels. It was harder to level up than I have thought while my MP Regeneration also evolved into MP Recovery and is level 2 now.
Next are my magic skills, the Dark and Water magic sadly didn't evolved but was both level 7 now. I'm thankful that I don't need to train my ice magic since by leveling up, my ice magic also levels up.
Lastly, I also trained in controlling my shadow clones whenever I have time letting my Parallel Thinking and Thought Acceleration level up by 2 times.
That's not all but my level also increased to level 167 thanks to Rory and Rai. It was a bit slower compared to before but I didn't complain since I'm just a leacher here. However, Blite didn't level up this time. This can be explained that I need to be the one to kill so that Blite will have a share of EXP.

Right now I can have 8 shadow clones to control, thankfully I can still manage to control the 8 shadow clones but a bit hard to.
Nothing particularly changed for my other skills except for a level up.
I'm most happy about my Gauntlet Arts going into the Advance grade since now I can fight one of the twins on an even footing in a close combat battle but I will still lose if both of them comes at me at the same time.
I also learned from the twins that Jan's Sword Arts is on the Master grade making me surprised. They said that when a person reaches Master Grade, that's when a person gains enlightenment and will be able to use Aura. The advantage of being able to use Aura is the ability to use Skill Arts. They don't know much of what a Skill Arts is but they do know that it is particularly strong.
The next thing I gained from the past 14 days is the knowledge about this world. Thanks to the library, I learned that this world has 5 continents which are the Feather, Horn, Claw, Skull, and Scale continents. The Feather Continent is where I am right now. Beside this continent is the Scale continent which Humans also rules. They are called Scale continent since they have snakes for guardians unlike here which is birds. The Horn continent is ruled by the demons while the Claw continent is ruled by the beastmen. This two continents are in an alliance. Currently the the 4 continents are not in war but for the past years they were until the 5th continent emerged which is the Skull continent. The Skull continent is ruled by necromancers and the undead. This continent is the most powerful one today.
Because of the power the Skull continent held the 4 continents stopped there own wars and instead focused on the Skull continent. The 4 continents tried to destroy the Skull continent but always failed to do so and instead increased the power of the Skull continent for every war. Death was expected when one is currently on war but death was not a disadvantage on the necromancers but instead an advantage for them to strengthen themselves.
Currently the 4 continents stopped their attack and went into peace for 18 years now. Thankfully, the Skull continent didn't attack back yet.
Lastly, the planet is called Quin. The name originated from the almighty ruler before that has now turned into a God. They don't have any particular background of that God except that he unified everyone on this planet.
That was all the information I have gained for the past 14 days. The others was not useful since they were just a bunch of info about herbs, first aid, and the like.
Right now, I'm at the canteen eating alone and the time is 6:00 in the evening. I plan to rest early today since tommorow will be the day I will meet Jan.
I went to my room immediately after I was done eating. I took a shower and slept.
I woke up doing the same routine which was taking a bath and fixing myself up. I looked at the time and it was 5:45 now.
I went out of the room while going into the first floor. I walked slowly until I arrived at the first floor.
I sat at a chair and waited for Jan to appear. I looked at my watch to see if it was 6:00 already, and at exactly 6:00; Jan appeared.
"Let's go.." Jan said while I followed him.
We went to the front desk and Jan rang the bell.
"What is it you two brats!? It's so early and you're disturbing my sleep! Who can wake up 6 in the morning! My beauty sleep is ruined because of you two! Do you want a spanking!?" Rose shouted at us while her hair was still messy and I can see a dried saliva at the side of her mouth. She has red eyes while looking at us.
I can see that Jan was shaking while I tried to stop myself from laughing at the situation.
"Umm... aunt Rose I'm here to take a mission." Jan said with a quiet voice.
"What!? You disturbed my sleep for a mission!?" Rose roared at Jan's face loudly.
"Yes..." Jan replied.
"Ugh.. you really are the son of that old man. Let me take a look on that mission you want and just leave immediately." Rose groaned while Jan passed a paper. The paper was colored yellow.
"How brave of you take on a yellow mission. Whatever, you brats can die for all I care. You both will be awarded 50 purple banknotes when you finish the mission and you will also gain 50 contribution points. You can go now and don't disturb me again!" Rose said and was then gone by the next second.
"Ask any questions now before we go into a mission." Jan said.
"What is a yellow mission?" I asked.
"Mission are divided by ranks like our Mercenary Rank. A guild member can take a quest that is below or higher than his/her rank current rank. Right now, we are taking a mission that is one rank higher than our current ranks." Jan explained.
"What mission did you take?"
"We're going to kill a noble. It is only a Baron that resides on a village. The mission stated that the Baron is currently level 250 and is guarded by 10 personal knights and 50 normal soldiers. Our mission is to only kill the noble so we don't need to worry about the others but the Baron only." Jan said.
What the? How can a kid that looks like 10 years old kill a person?
"Is this your first mission Jan?" I asked since I'm worried that he might hesitate to kill when the time comes.
"No."
Thank goodness. I on the other hand will be my first time to kill a human. I never killed one but I guess, I would be able to.
"Do you have any more questions?" Jan asked.
"I don't." I replied.
"Good. Let's go." Jan said while running towards the Kingdom's gate. I followed him from behind.
