Chapter 60 - First Mission
We exited the Kingdom with Jan leading the way. I stayed silent since I kind of feel awkward talking with Jan. The whole time we were running at the road without making any breaks. I was having a hard time to keep up with Jan but he was still a bit nice by waiting for me when I was too far away.
The whole journey lasted for 6 hours until we stopped. The whole journey was pretty safe and we didn't encounter any particular monster while running. We stayed at the road the whole time and didn't stray away from it.
While we're running I tried appraising Jan to see how powerful he is. This is what I saw:

His attributes was high but his skills was insane. I can't even see some of his skills. I can feel how hard working Jan is. I felt that I still have a long way ahead of me to be in the same level of Jan.
I also saw something new in Jan's status, and that is Aura Points. This must be the Aura that the twins have mentioned before but I still don't know what is the purpose of Aura points. I didn't think about it too much since I won't get any answers even if I think about it deeply.
Right now, we are hiding in a forest while looking at the entrance of the village.
"This is the Deha Village. We'll be killing Ian Deha which is the Baron. I have two options for you to choose from. I'll let you choose since I'm fine with doing any of the options. Option 1 is waiting for night to arrive and kill the Baron only while option 2 is about killing everyone in the Baron's residence. By everyone, I mean everyone. A kid, an elderly, a woman, or whatever it is. We need to kill them all and not leaving anyone behind." Jan said.
"Hmm, why should we have an option of killing everyone instead of just killing the Baron only?" I asked since it was quite cruel to kill everyone.
"The guild put that option up since it was safer. Killing everyone means no one will know who killed the Baron. Also if we choose this, the guild will increase our rewards by 50%. So what will it be?" Jan asked again.
I didn't answer immediately but think about it for a minute. If I kill everyone in the Baron's residence, I will also have to kill children and the elderly. This really confuses me now. I don't know which answer to choose from.
"What will happen if there is a witness while we are killing the Baron?" I asked.
"The worst case is being a wanted man in the Kingdom." Jan said.
I hesitated for a while and then made my choice.
"Let's do the second option. I can't let myself be in danger for my feelings." I said.
Jan smiled and nodded.
"Good. I expected you to choose that since you're my partner." Jan said while smiling at me.
"We'll wait until it is night time before me moved." Jan said.
"Our plan for tonight is to kill everyone in the Baron's residence. Don't worry since the guild gave us a Space Seal. This seal will help us restrict anyone from leaving the mansion. The guild also provided us a map of the Baron's mansion." Jan continued.
"There are 20 rooms in the mansion while 50 soldiers are roaming the mansion at night. The 20 rooms are occupied by the family and relatives of the Baron. Now we'll be planing of dividing the work. The mansion has two floors and ten rooms for each floor. Which floor will you take?" Jan asked.
"I'll take the first floor." I replied.
"Alright, when you're done. Don't wait for me and return to this exact place for us to meet on." Jan said.
"Okay." I said, ending the conversation.
"Also take this mask to conceal our face later." Jan said while giving me a plain white mask. I took it and keeping it inside my clothes.
We waited for the night to arrive. I made two ice chairs to sit on. I invited Jan and he accepted it. We sat there while I suddenly have a question about the mission.
"Who was the client that gave this mission?" I asked since I was curious.
"The rule of the guild is not saying any word that pertains to the client. Even I don't know who the client is. What is important for the guild is the payment we'll receive by doing this kind of missions." Jan explained.
"Okay." I replied simply.
When the time was right, Jan signalled me to follow him. I followed him, and we sneakily went towards the mansion. We wore the white mask while I removed my glasses and pretended to keep it at my clothes. I put my eye glasses at the space storage since I'm afraid it might be broken later when a fight starts.
The village was simple, and there are some farms and little houses. I can see some animals like chicken, cows, and the like sleeping at the ground.
Jan continued walking until we arrived at a big mansion that was surrounded by walls. We can see some lights inside the walls. Jan then signalled me and went towards the gate.
He then pulled the Space Seal he has and putted it in the gate of the mansion. The guards saw us but Jan didn't mind and instead pulled his sword while killing the guards.
"Don't bother being sneaky since I can feel that the Baron has already sensed us. I didn't know that they have Mana Sensors around the mansion. This battle will only end if we die or they die." Jan explained with a grave voice. I feel guilty since if Jan went alone, he won't be noticed. He doesn't have mana and the Mana Sensors must have detected my mana.
"We can't stay here or we'll be surrounded by the guards. Let's split up and kill as many enemies as we can." Jan said while running towards the mansion's entrance.
I did the same while I summoned Nixie beside me.
"Hello Ave!" Nixie greeted me.
"I also want to give you a nice greeting but the time is not right!" I said to Nixie.
"Can you make an ice golem and control it outside to act as a distraction?" I asked Nixie.
"I can but that will cost you half of your mana remember?" Nixie said worriedly.
"Don't worry and just do it. Destroy the mansion if you can and kill as many people as you can!" I ordered Nixie while going inside the mansion.
"With pleasure. These greedy nobles should be destroyed a long time ago." Nixie said while giggling. She looks like she hates nobles by some reason. I don't know but I'll ask later on if we survive this mess.
Nixie then summoned a huge amount of ice around her, and then making the same golem before but was a bit larger than the last time. My mana increased so I also powered up my ice golem when I used it.
The ice golem was now 5.5 meters high. Nixie was sitting on the ice golems head. The ice golem she made also uses an ice club and shield. The ice golem then started to smash everything around it.
The guards then went towards the ice golem.
"Protect Baron Ian with your lives men!" One soldier shouted while the others followed. 20 guards went to the ice golem while the rest followed me and Jan.
This was also a good opportunity to use my Ice Minion Summon for the first time. I didn't use it yet since Jan was still beside me.
"I have known that you can make an ice golem by using magic but I didn't know you have a contracted elemental spirit!" Jan said excitedly. This is the first time I saw him act like his actually age, and it was cute to look at.
"I wanted to hide it but our situation won't let me." I said while smiling.
"Anyway, I'll go to the second floor now while you kill all the people here." Jan said while nodding at me.
"Alright, and good luck!" I replied.
Jan then went to the stairs that was in front of the mansion's entrance. The ground floor has three hallways which was the right wing, the left wing, and the hallway at the back of the stairs. I first went to the right wing since I can see the ice golem destroying the right side of the mansion.
While I was running to the right wing, I summoned my 8 shadow clones. I then used my skill Ice Minion Summon. The skill currently looks like this:

I have recovered some mana and currently I have 62% of my mana so I summoned 8 Ice Minions leaving me with 22% of mana. I'll summon more later but I want to save some mana for myself.
The Ice Minion looks like a soldier that has full body armor while holding a spear. It was completely blue and made of ice. Thankfully, I don't need to control it manually and instead only need to order it.

It has weak attributes but for me that was enough since I just want them to help lower the burden.
