My spine stiffened at how mostly accurate her accusation was. I stared past her flawless face and my eyes landed on the CCTV as it stared right into my eyes. Something wasn't right. Not in the way the red light seemed to be blinking.

"Burak,"

My gaze snapped back to hers as she loomed over me, seeming to capture me wholly.

"I'm not," My voice betrayed that statement.

She tightly closed her eyes. "Oh my God you're on drugs. Oh my God. Oh my God,"

My temper got the best of me. "For God's sake, woman, I am not on drugs," The word tasted bitter on my tongue; as if remembering the exact taste of them. The smoke, the powder, the drinks.

I shuddered. And I knew Alana felt them because she wrapped her arms firmly around me. That's when I realised my head rested somewhere between her shoulders and chest. I tried to get up, not used to being so close to a woman but it was a futile attempt.
