Something Wasn't Adding Up

KNIGHT

Approximately two hours later, we were finally helped by the security team who'd somehow after ages, realised we were stuck through the CCTV cameras.

I had a bad feeling about this. Too many things didn't add up and it did not seem to be a coincidence that the emergency alarm wouldn't work and the CCTV camera showed us to the security after so long.

Were they sleeping?

This had never happened before. Never.

Alana seemed relaxed but every bone inside my body was on alert. Red lights shone in my vision. A sixth sense told me nothing good was coming.

The party had been cancelled and delayed another week and despite knowing I shouldn't, I felt an immeasurable amount of relief.
