Shots of another.

One two three and four. I count each time I hit the basket ball down on the wooden floor as a slam echoes through the gym each time. We had a choice of either going to our room to be on our phones, Or coming to the gym. I chose the gym to see if Emer was going to come. But he didn't. I was worried, why is he not here? I know I only saw him once but this just isn't normal. To my surprise someone taps my shoulder. I jump back surprised. '' Oh hey marcy! Why did you have to scare me like that?'' She looks at me and says "sorry about that. Just that, remember that dude Emer?" I quickly reply "yes, why? Did you see him? Do you know where he is?" She gives me a worried and concerned look "I think something happened to him. I saw Brizon in the hallway holding his prosthetic face, I wasn't sure where he was headed but I was heading to my room." I then stop in my tracks.

"What? But why the heck would he have it? Doesn't Emer need his prosthetic face?" So I thought to myself, I wasn't sure what was going on. Maybe he had surgery done? Or maybe he was getting a new prosthetic face? I had no idea. "Im not sure." She stated. "I haven't seen him ever since yesterday." I then try to shoot the basketball then miss. "Well,"Then I start to reply. "Ill try to see what I can do later, but you wanna play a little basketball with me? Maybe I can try to ask someone." She then answers in a quiet tone. " wait until i can speak to you later, you don't want them to be suspicious. Sure! Ill play some basketball." I start to think, Why would they be suspicious? We start to play some basketball. Before we knew it lunch time has arrived.

We all get called down to the cafeteria and as I make my way down, I see that there isn't anyone in the hallways. How odd, I think to myself. The speakers start to go off. "Hello! Lunch is ready! Today we will be having our flu vaccination after lunch. So be ready!" The speaker then shuts off. Why would we need a vaccine if we only stay in one building with no one else? I get shivers down my spine. What if it isn't a vaccine at all? But some kind of medication? I finish walking to the cafeteria. As I step in a see two lines. One for shots and another for lunch. I still don't see Emer. Maybe I will tomorrow. I get a corn dog and some fries, including a chocolate milk. Then walk to the table where Marcy is sitting. "Isn't this vaccine a little suspicious?" I start to whisper. "We don't even even go anywhere so why would we need a vaccine?" I then take a bite of my corn dog. "To he honest, it really is. I have a idea." She reply's. Then I glance at Marcy. "After we get the vaccine, tomorrow we can see if it's actually a vaccine. Since you usually feel the symptoms after." I then take a fry. "Thats a good idea," I reply. I finish up my lunch and give Marcy a wave as I head over to the vaccine line.
