Ash Ketchum, pt two

Walking around Pallet town with my team out was relaxing as it had been a while. They had been feeling weird ever since the Giovanni fight so he rarely called upon them. What had been figured out was, their mega-lines had unlocked a permanent genetic evolution. So he had let them focus on getting the feeling down before having found their respective stones. The stones feeling their respective species nearby, ready for a permanent upgrade, were kept in a cold storage device otherwise they'd burn the surroundings.

Today as a part of Samuel's request, at our approaching one thousand six hundred and second birthday. I would give my team, my family the stones as a birthday gift. Which will fulfill a few things but primarily its to give them a new stage to grow, as the feeling of life from them was at the cusp of normalcy. They were already pseudo legends for their kinds, now after this gift… They may very well become new legends. So this was a very important moment and family event for a lot of reasons as well. With light footsteps I watched them have fun.

Vala was hopping along scowling as her eyes scanned the area for threats. Jewel was being calmly bipolar as she argued with her Dreepy and the others, sometimes biting into flesh suddenly. Lockheart was bouncing about, spinning at times, while they sang a random made up song. Ruin was being a moody young adult and cursing everything seeming to be happy and loving. Finally Rascal was still looking for chances to steal something but decided he'd prank sometimes completely randomly.

Chuckling at how much they've barely changed over the years I pulled a fig bar from a pouch to eat it. Only to have all their gazes turn to me, eyeing my fig bar.

"Hey Dakota? Can we have a bite?"

Hearing Ruin I looked at the group like they asked something scandalous. My answer was very natural.

"Woah now, you don't ask man for his fig. That's like asking to eat an egg."

"Eggs are good~ fertile or infertile eggs taste good when cooked or boiled. Just don't touch mine I'll rip your fucking heads off."

Jewel spoke up with a smile before looking at the others with a murderous glare. Ah Jewel… You have a bad habit you picked up during a war. The others brushed her comment off and chuckled a bit. These kinds of interactions were very relaxing for the five as it was a bonding moment. They eventually reached the lab grounds and just walked into the ranch part without saying anything. As they entered the ranch every pokemon turned to them, some new ones looking at them funnily as the older ones waved.

Walking for a bit the five of us eventually stopped at the center of the ranch area. Settling ourselves in I let Samuel know we're here through a text message. Afterwards I just focused on weapon checks and repairs. Primarily just replacing parts, charging a few things, reloading, updating software, and so on as my gear was varied. The others even had specialized armor to wear that I had made long ago. That they were still in condition and a little beaten up, but they didn't want to let them go.

After a while of doing our own thing with various equipment spread about on the ground.

The sound of hooves was heard approaching our location from the west. Looking towards the sound there were six pokemon and their riders approaching. Using psychic to gather everything up and rapidly assemble some things back together. I put the spread about gear up and waited for them to come closer to our location.

At the forty feet mark I flicked a dark electrical bullet attack past each head. Samuel chuckled at the rather scary greeting while the five kids looked frightened. The pokemon? Completely unphased as they knew what'd likely happen from Samuel before the ride. When Samuel on a Rapidash approached he dismounted swiftly, the other five a mix of Ponyta and Taurus eventually stopped as well. Dumping their riders unceremoniously before leaving with the Rapidash.

Seeing the six people Dakota looked lazily at them, they were Samuel Oak, Ash Ketchum, Gary Oak, Danielle Summer, Marcus Gold, and Sarah Mercury. The other three kids are the only other kids in Pallet town, one is supposed to be dead but through promising a life favor they were safely born. As I gazed at them, the data for three profiles of them were pulled up on my AR glasses. Then a SINGLE LONG INCIDENTS ONE CAME UP.

Looking at Ash I point at him and say something to my team getting grim looks. Rascal even let a comment slip in human speech on purpose.

"So Doom Protocol sixty-eight? Can we just lock the kid away from the world?"

"Sadly no, her mark is on his soul so it'd backfire."

Hearing us, the six humans looked confused at our comments. The kids doubly so as a pokemon just spoke human not pokemon. Ash though quickly went from confused to excited that he tried to approach us. Vala and Ruin though quickly made Dark Steel and Poison balls of energy aimed at Ash. Jewel hisses very hastily at the kid while speaking.

"Stay the fuck back you walking destruction bad luck of potential death magnet. We are not afraid to turn you into human meat paste!"

Ah Jewel you bipolar ghost dragon you said that in human. Now the kids are all looking startled at your outburst and threat. Looking at Samuel I see him covering his face at how fast this all went into a bad direction. He tiredly spoke as he walked over to us exhausted already from the first meeting.

"Children… This is Dakota Cartson and his team of four. They are all very strong individuals with Dakota here being a Legend, one of the children of balance. His team are all as stronger or stronger than pseudo legends. They've been around for a thousand six hundred and two years and have a fair share of badges and champion titles under their belts."

After Samuel finished speaking Danielle looked at us a bit with cautious fear. Her voice was shaking a bit as she let out a high pitched squeaky voice.

"Y-y-you mean the Executioner? The leader of the shadow group Silence? T-that Dakota Cartson? Who has k-k-k-killed over a million humans and pokemon recently?"

"Yeah that's me, it's a very unfortunate fortunate meeting I know. Gary shut your mouth before I juggle you, no one needs your smartass remarks. So play nice or stay muted."
