Battle In the Rain

It was Alfar who went through the missing wall next; he was right on Elam's trail. Determined to save him if possible. Behind him was the woman who just blasted him away preventing him from getting to Elam in time.

Dr. Whatson was forced away from the wall by the woman he was fighting. She continued to fire arrows at him. Porter was also occupied by his opponent. He was able to put some distance between them.

Porter fought silently, he didn't care who she was. It was his duty to help his master, and he was fighting desperately to get back to him. The woman with the Warhammers had a single-minded determination to stop if not kill Porter.

On the ground, in front of the Kingsly Hotel, Gene was fighting with everything he had. This woman could either neutralize his weapons or had weapons capable of countering his.

It finally came down to him fighting with his sickle-sword against her short sword.

She was good at fighting from a distance and close-up. He was finding it difficult to catch his breath.

He was forced to his knees and about to accept a crippling strike from Jawan when a bubble of light surrounded him. The sword strike was blocked.

A skinny figure in black with a black cloak and a white smiling face mask appeared next to Gene. He helped him up and gave him a few pills to restore his energy and health.

"Who is she, sir?" The Coachman asked.

"Our enemy, we can discuss this later. Tell Poole to focus on saving the others first. I don't believe this is everything they have," Gene said.

"Will you be okay, sir? She nearly got you," The Coachman said.

"It's fine, I'll take care of her."

The Coachman released the forcefield and sped away. Jawan was waiting patiently for Gene to come out.

"Still cheating," she said.

"It depends on how you define cheating. If you count it as catching your opponent by surprise then I suppose we're both guilty of that. Or did you think blowing a hole in my wall and attacking was fair?" He said mockingly.

Jawan's expression changed. He was right about one thing. She was a fanatic and fanatics hate it when their actions prove to be no better than their opponents.

She attacked with all of her fury and hate as she did in Madaria. Her hate and fury made her faster and sharper. If Gene was struggling before, all he could do now was retreat as fast as possible.

He told the Coachman, he could handle her, but he realized he had completely underestimated her. Of course, she had done the same with him.

Gene through his sword at Jawan and jumped back. The sword stabbed into the earth near Jawan who also quickly backed away. From the ground beneath her feet, a pair of rocky hands sprouted from the earth and grabbed her feat.

The sword sent an impulse into the earth generating a commander matrix commanding the earth on what to do. It was like an innate spell inscribed into the sword.

Gene approached her quickly and taking out a Warhammer. He swung the hammer and Jawan defended against it.

However, due to her legs being held by the Earth Hands, she wasn't able to position her legs so she can absorb or deflect the blow.

The impact of the hammer knocked her back so hard the Earth Hands broke. She continued to fly back until she smashed into a restaurant across the street from the Hotel.

During this time, Alfar was rushing to Gene's side when a body flashed in front of him.

"Hey cutey," the woman he fought earlier said.

Alfar stopped where he was and looked at the woman.

"Who are you?" He asked.

"You're the Boker who was turned into a Jinn," she said.

"I don't' have time to chat with you. I have to save my master," He said.

"Tricked into service just like me," She said.

"You're a Jinn too?" he asked. She nodded her head in confirmation. "A Marid, to be precise."

"A Marid! Were you a Boker before as well?"

The Marid moved closer to Alfar. "No, I was a sorceress," She said. "Do you know what that means?" Alfar didn't know, the only thing he knew was a Marid was a Jinn who was extremely powerful. He shook his head letting her know he had no idea what it meant.

"Jinns have magic cores and so does a sorceress. It means I don't have to learn how to use my magic core. You're still learning, and my magic core is much more powerful than yours. You can't fight me," She said.

"Are you going to kill me?" He asked.

"Killing a Jinn is almost impossible. I think I'll just keep you from interfering," she said with a smile.

"Why?" He asked.

"I have the freedom to determine what I do for my magic. I also don't like being tricked into becoming a slave, so I'll only do the bare minimum. Finally, I think you're cute and wanted to chat with another Jinn," she said.

Alfar's demeanor completely changed hearing this shockingly beautiful woman tell him he was cute. "I still don't know your name, baby girl,"

"I didn't think a Bokor would be such a flirt," she giggled.

"Listen baby, the zombies were dead, I have always been alive, girl," he said.

The battles between the others weren't going nearly as well. The men were barely holding their own against their female counterparts.

The Coachmen arrived in the penthouse to see the Porter was being beaten to death. A forcefield appeared around the Porter as all sound in the room disappeared.

As he formed the forcefield, he shot lasers out of his eyes and hit the woman with the hammers. She yelled in fury and pain, and when he was about to make his move he felt a hint of danger.

He dodged to the side and saw two more women appear. One of them was small and petite, and the other was like a slender supermodel with pointed ears. She began shooting a small gun. The blasts were initially deflected by a forcefield but he could feel himself being overpowered.

The small one seemed to disappear but returned quickly and attacked the Coachman. She was fast as lightning, but he couldn't make out the details of either fighter.

Dr. Whatson was as beat up as his opponent. The two of them were panting while staring at each other. They both had a slight smile on their face.

Jawan and Gene continued their heated battle. Gene was out of weapons and could only use his cane to defend against Jawan.

With a final push, Jawan ran up to Gene and grabbed the top of his head. She was wearing a special glove and he could feel her doing something to him.

It was like all of his knowledge and understanding of things were being locked away from him. He screamed in misery and pain!

Just as the torture was coming to an end; Gene clicked a button on his cane and a spike came out of the silver knob in its top. He shoved the needle into Jawan's side. She let go, suddenly in pain.

Opening a portal she screamed, "Jean, get out people back to base." After yelling that, a portal opened and Jawan fell into it. Gene cradled his head in his hands as the rain continued to bang down on him. He lost everything.

The female opponents left the battlefield and the men collapsed in their place. Poole came out of the carriage and helped Gene inside. When he entered the room covered in blood they could see he lost something.

"We survived," Alfar said.

"Not yet," Gene said before passing out.
