Island of Death

It was more than a week before Gene and his people were able to leave Jambre. The patrols were too tight. Even with their illusion array and the magic of Alfar, it was dangerous to move from their hiding spot.

Alfar took over the duty of driving the carriage. It was decided since the enemy knew all of Gene's secrets; his face changing technology would be uncovered. Even though they knew about Alfar, it was one thing to know a Jinn was around and another to see through their magic.

Alfar took on the guise of an old man and the carriage changed form into an open wagon. He passed through the checkpoint without a problem. They rode toward Qwis city to the west, but after a few days of traveling, they turned North-East toward Welken Forest.

After another week and a half on the road, they made their way through the forest to their agreed meeting point. They reached the designated clearing and there wasn't anyone there. The wagon transformed back into the carriage and Gene, Porter, and Dr. Whatson exited.

"Okay, we're here you can come out now," Gene said.

Two figures came out of the woods. One of the figures was a yellow belly panther. The Yellow belly panther had black fur, faintly discernable spots, and a tuft of yellow hair on its stomach.

As the panther drew closer it roared threateningly but began to morph into the shape of a human.

A man carrying a bow and wearing a green hood over green and brown robes exited the woods. On his side was a beautiful sword. When the figure dropped down his hood he revealed a pair of pointed ears. He was an elf.

"I thought we were meeting Barron Atticus and Stanz," Dr. Whatson said.

"We are it's just you don't recognize them."

"What, Stanz and Atticus have changed so much?! I thought they would still be a vampire and a werewolf," Dr. Whatson said.

The elf bowed to Gene, "Master, the transition from vampire to elf was painful but you have kept your word. I am filled with a deep connection to life and ancient wisdom," Barron Atticus said.

"I have become a shape-shifter master. I can change my body to nearly any kind of creature that's about my size," Stanz said. Stanz used to be huge but now he was just over six feet tall.

"How did Luas's transformation go, if you don't mind my asking," Barron Atticus said. The old man standing toward the back, transformed into Alfar. He had a sour look on his face as he walked forward. He didn't dare complain.

"I became a Jinn and a slave," he said with some regret. He was clearly sad, but what had happened, happened. Now, he only hoped his master meant it when he say he might earn his freedom one day.

Both Barron Atticus and Stanz were glad they weren't turned into slaves, but they also realized Alfar was now far more powerful than either of them.

"What's the plan, Master," Barron Atticus said.

"Let's meet in the carriage, it's safer," Gene said.

Across the world on an island in the middle of nowhere, a tribe of people worked hard to survive on the island filled with little in the way of sustenance.

A beautiful young woman wearing a tattered tan and red robes walks towards a middle-aged man wearing similar robes; except one of his sleeves has a gold stripe.

The young woman looks worried. It's clear she has done her best to maintain her hair, but it's still a mess.

"Master, our supplies are almost gone. The island shield is absorbing all the life on the island.

Not only are we not able to get out, but once the remaining vegetation is gone the shield will begin to absorb our life energy. If we can't find a way off this island within the next few days; we'll die," she said.

"If I have one regret in life it's deciding to come to this island one hundred years ago. I thought we would find a mountain of treasure.

Instead, we found an empty island and no way to escape," the man said. As he talked a badge on his robe could be seen. It said, "Order and Unity Super Guild."

"Then count your blessing, for salvation is at hand," a woman's voice said from the air.

The man looked around trying to locate the voice. He found a group of serval women suddenly appeared before him.

A ghostly woman completely enshrouded by a cloak stands in the midst of them. To her right is a woman in a brown hood robe, silver, and leather armor, holding a sword. To her right is a mischievous looking beautiful woman. She was wearing baggy pants, a tight blue shirt, an open vest, and a golden tiara in her hair.

On the other side of the ghostly woman is a large woman wearing leather boots, yellow pants, a leather loincloth, a light-blue loose-fitting shirt, with leather. On her back are two Warhammer.

To her left is a woman wearing green tights, brown boots, a green vest, and skirt with golden hair tied up in loops on the back of her head. A smear of black crosses over her eyes. On her back are bows and arrows.

"Who are you?" the man asked.

Guild Master of the Order and Unity Super Guild, Oren James, my name is Otrera. We have a common opponent who has stolen your guild name while you were gone. In exchange for a way off the island perhaps you would be willing to consider a partnership?" Otrera said.

"Get us off the island and you can have the guild," Oren James said.

"Excellent, we can work together. Please gather your people and we will leave immediately," Otrera said.

"Leave, how?" he asked.

Otrera snapped her fingers and a large flying ship appeared out of thin air and landed. Its back bay door opened inviting them to board.

"As soon as you and your people are ready; we can leave.
