Let's Disappear

It was over a month later in Wilkens forest, Gene came to a very hard decision. He gathered his people together.

Using his brain helmet, as he liked to call it; he came up with a series of observations. He understood the direction of the upcoming battle. He knew, the one thing he needed now was time.

"We are being overwhelmed by our enemy. I was too arrogant in my approach to the situation. Given these facts, I have determined that we all need time to grow stronger.

I have arranged for each of you to head somewhere to train and grow stronger. When I feel it's time to strike, I will gather everyone together once more and we will attack our enemies.

"Elam, what you're saying sounds so final. Are you suggesting we split up?" Dr. Whatson asked.

"Yes, I can't protect any of you. I know the cruel reprisal of our enemies hasn't ended and will only intensify. Frankly, we lack the strength to mount a comeback.

I suggest we preserve our strength as it is, train hard, and gather together in the future to take Jambre and defeat our enemies."

"You don't mean for all of to disperse do you?" Poole asked.

"Yes, we can't grow strong like this. I need each of you to find your place to grow stronger. When everything is ready, I will contact everyone to gather us here once more.

I would say, in five years we'll regroup," Gene said.

Everyone had heavy hearts, but what Gene said made sense. They were being hunted as a group. If they had any hope of surviving and thriving under these conditions; it was best for everyone to move out on their own. When they had sufficient strength, they could gather together once more.

"I didn't reach this decision lightly. I believe the enemy we are fighting is so powerful that without sufficient strength and experience we will hand our lives to the enemy."

"Coachman, take the carriage and create subordinates who can assist you in your occupation. You are a clone made by Poole, but if you gain enough strength, you can also create clones.

Porter, you can raise your strength and rise through the ranks.

Chef, you need a kitchen staff.

Poole, you have more people to train. Gain strength and create more clones, it will increase your power.

Alfar, learn about your magic and grow your magic core. You are my slave but no one else's. You have five years to explore the world and are free to train in whatever you see fit. However, you must become stronger.

Barron Atticus, take your Elves and connect more with life and nature.

Stanz, take your fellow shapeshifters and find the boundaries of your power and exceed them.

Finally, my good friend. Expand your abilities and knowledge as a doctor. I will truly miss having you by my side." Gene said.

"My good friend, Elam, I will miss you, but I will grow stronger so we might fight together once more and overcome our enemies," Dr. Whatson said.

"Okay, you have until tomorrow morning to make your preparations. Then, we will separate and will only gather once we have sufficient strength. Please grow strong quickly, I have a host of planets to conquer," Gene said.

After these words, everyone split up to make their own preparations.

"Dr. Whatson went into his clinic and looked around. "I will truly miss this place, but most of all I will miss my friend. I will become strong enough so I can help him and not hold him back!" Dr. Whatson said to himself.

He was determined to overcome his limitations to become a truly strong person who could aid his friend in acquiring his dreams.

Poole and his clones discussed their plans for growing stronger. Poole made copies of the many cultivation manuals Gene had given him.

He wanted to make sure every one of them could either advance or grow their own staff. When they grew stronger, he would grow stronger.

Alfar was excited at the prospect of having a kind of freedom for the next five years. Of course, he understood he was still given a task, grow stronger. He believed he could both grow strong and enjoy his freedom.

Gene went to his quarters silently. He remembered when he left Earth to come here and realize his dreams. Maybe Otrera had a point, he was relying too much on his inventions. It was time to approach things as he intended in the past.

He was so busy setting up organizations and recruiting people, he never stopped to consider how his progress toward his real goal was coming.

It was at that moment, he received a message on a communicator. It was Master Git.

"Master Git, to what do I owe the honor?" Gene asked.

"Master Xan, we have a problem. Representatives of the Order and Unity Supreme Guild arrived and said we were one of their branches.

They expect us to obey them. They even want us to cut off communication with you. I don't know what to do. They are so powerful." the embarrassed Master Git said.

"You want to know what to do?" Gene asked.

"Yes, sir, what should I do? Should we fight?" he asked.

"Only if you want to die," Gene said with trouble.

"Then, do you want us to surrender?" he asked.

"Surrender? You aren't surrendering. He's right, you are part of their guild. The Super guild is the backing of our branch there. Don't mention me to him, and just do as they command. You won't be harmed," Gene said.

"You fiance and her family, what should we do with them," he asked.

"Don't worry, they won't come to any harm. In fact, I am pretty sure they will be taken aside for personal grooming. Do me a favor, tell Jawan or Otrera or one of those ladies that she was right.

I am splitting my forces and if she promises not to hunt any of them down; I will comply with the rules of the game." Gene said.

"What game? Git asked.

"Don't worry about it, they'll know what I'm referring to. Git, one last thing," Gene began.

"Yes, sir?"

"Take good care of yourself. Once I have accomplished my goals, we'll be working together again," Gene said as he closed out the communication.

"I guess this method will work too. I need to stop fighting against the path I chose for myself. I need to grow stronger and change the way I've done things in the past.

It's only this way I can reunite with Pentha, defeat my mortal enemy the Virtuous Crusader, and finally become a power in the vast universes.

Thus ends the first chapters in the adventures of Gene Alexander and his rise to power. An end to one part of his life beckons the beginning of a new part of his life. His marriage to his love the Miracle Woman of Mars and the defeat of Virtuous Crusader, and all of his other adventures as he conquered the stars of the twenty-four num galaxies.

Aren't these recorded in The Chronicles of the Mad Genius?
