To Rescue Survivors

Calian POV

"Come on, who's the dumbass that closed this thing," Carlos knocked harshly on the scaffold overhead door blocking us from going through. I'm surprised this guy didn't question us to having guns and that Jill didn't question him to having an assault rifle and a rocket launcher either. I think this guy is a member of Umbrella Corporation's taskforce.

'We must take the longer way," Carlos approached a metal door beside a vending machine and bashed it hardly, directly opening it with no damage other than a crooked lock. "Do you know anything about that monster!" Jill still looked as scared as before at her own mention of Nemesis, I really hate Resident Evil bosses, every time they're defeated, they evolve and come back stronger.

"I don't know, never seen anything like it before," we walked inside a corridor filled with all sort of pipes and cable lines, the place really has no color the same as I remembered every Resident Evil game to be like, only achromatic and horrific. "Code name Nemesis, an Umbrella Corporation biological miscellany created with the sole purpose of hunting down S.T.A.R.S members."

At least I remember that much, the Umbrella Corporation always has a sort of fascination with S.T.A.R.S members, likely as a result from the mansion incident in Resident Evil 1. "And how do you know that," Carlos and Jill looked at me skeptically, Carlos especially raised his gun a little bit higher.

"It'll be explained in due time, I believe we should get to your safe area first," dude, I was giving information, no need to be too cautious even if I'm bad, the most I'll do is kill you right. But I totally take no offense by Carlos's gesture, I would've done the same thing if I were him. "Listen, you're both in the right hands, I'm with-"

"Umbrella Biohazard Countermeasure Service, I noticed your badge," I totally just cut him off and pointed at his badge knitted into his shoulder sleeve. "Umbrella! Are you f*cking joking with me!" Right, leave it to Umbrella sending their own taskforce to alleviate a situation caused by the corporation itself.

"They're the ones that caused all this!" Jill shouted accusingly and angrily at Carlos whom I think is perfectly innocent, he obviously doesn't know a thing of what's going on. "Slow down, slow down, what are you talking about," we came across some generators and went around it, walking down some stairs.

Carlos opened the door, leading directly into the platforms where dead bodies, movie posters, benches, plants and Umbrella Corporation propagandas sitting everywhere on the walls and on the floors. we followed behind Carlos and entered one of the subway train cars where a serious looking bearded old man wearing a maroon Umbrella beret sat right on one of the seats.

(A.N : In case you don't know, I'm pretty sure a passenger segment of a subway train is called a car, you learn new facts everyday)

"Captain, I found a fine young lady and a fine young man whom could really use our help," Carlos stood beside the old man and Jill looked around the car, there's only four of us and I could see the refugees in the other cars. The old man glanced firmly at said fine lady, sitting herself on one of the seats opposite to the captain like she partially owned the place.

To make it funnier looking I also sat down not caring what the other side thinks. "And you didn't reflect to ask what fine young lady's job is," the captain simpered and laid back further into his seat, holding his waist, I see you're injured. "She is an elite operative of R.P.D Specials Tactics and Rescue Service. Her name is something Valentine."

"It's Jill," she smiled and sat front, her hands on her thighs and her eyes on the captain. "Nice to meet you Jill, I am U.B.C.S platoon leader Mikhail Victor and whom I don't recognize is this fine young man," Mikhail analyzed me thoroughly skimming from my outfit, umbrella, holster and glasses, I look like a first rate British old-time gentleman.

"Kingsman Agent Calian Otho Aurelius holding the seat of Sir Bedivere, we deal with national and international terrorism," I brought my back hand up, showing the captain my Kingsman Bedivere ring, also has electrocution functions. "Then nice to meet you Calian," he warily took note of me and groaned with his eyes to his waist.

"My team was sent here to evacuate civilians," although in obvious pain, his eyes still show a large amount of will to rescue these civilians and I really respect that. "It's probably not going well for you," ooh Jill, no need for the overly sarcastic remarks, he's going to spurt blood for that. "The city is completely isolated and cut off, most of the citizens wind up dead, wrong, undead."

I chuckled inwardly, that is funny pun in this disaster, it completely fits the theme. "My platoon is mostly wiped out and this train has to move," Jill looked like she was going to open her mouth for more sarcasm and I just had to intervene. "I think we can all blame Umbrella for that, so what can we do."

"Wait, wait, what makes you think I'm in to help," you're a rescue operative Jill, these civilians need help. "We need to get this subway train moving, we can evacuate some survivors, but we need your help," Jill looked around and laid her eyes on the survivors in the next car, she smiled as if this is a joke and finally, "Fine, I'm in."

Finally, we can get moving, convince and finish this mission fast, too long in this world and my spine will break from all the zombie shudders. "But I'm doing this because of them, not Umbrella and not whatever agency you're from," Jill pointed at the survivors, Mikhail and... me!? Why me, I'm just here to convince you, don't alienate me so quick in the game.

"Cool, cool, we all want the same thing," Carlos held his hand up and got back to rummaging his bag.

Mikhail can only smile and sincerely say, "Thank you Jill."
