Calian POV
"What was that," Jill deadpanned at the destruction of the corridor but i could see in her eyes how surprised she is. "Simply the powers of technology, fountain pen bomb," I grinned and explored the room we're in, and it looks to be small storeroom, smaller than the pharmacy's. "I'm not even going to judge anymore," Jill looked down frustrated, jealousy is fickle thing my friend.
"So, are we trapped here, Calian," Jill surveyed the room, looking through the racks for any useful tools and items to be used at this time. "There's a vent here and a suspicious black case," I gestured Jill to come and she laid her eyes on the case, a red and white umbrella is painted on it with the words 'UMBRELLA CORPORATION' printed below it.
"This belongs to Umbrella, and it appear to be a weapons case, Umbrella's been down here for a reason," she eerily voiced out and opened the two bolts keeping the case closed and opened it up slowly. What came out certainly didn't disappoint at all, a black outline, furnished beautifully with a barrel grip, a short stock and a gorgeous barrel.
A silencer is held below it in straps and a red dot sight attachment is boxed on the top along with at least a dozen magazines tucked to left. "Heckler & Koch UMP, it was just recently showcased to the military and the police, not yet released to be used," she gently picked up the gun holding on to the main grip and the barrel grip.
"It was meant to be an upgrade to the MP% submachine gun and it's unquestionably better to hold and lighter than its predecessor," Jill then looked at me and placed the gun on my hands, "I already have a shotgun, you should use it," oh heck yeah! One of the best weapons in my opinion to be used in Call of Duty is the submachine gun and I can finally try it out in the real world!
"Haha! I'll use this baby to my liking then," I licked my lips in glory as I attached the silencer and sight to it making it look even better than it already is. Connecting the gun straps together and bringing it around my shoulders, now I really look cool. "Well, now that everything's sorted, the only way out is through the vent."
I looked down above the floor, a yellow vent cover is screwed on the wall, but not even screws could handle us pulling the cover out. Jill took a crowbar from one of the shelves and firmly placed its edge on the vent and pushed it down until each screw were bent and released from the wall. "Let's see where this leads to," I pulled myself down and crawled into the tiny vents.
Good thing I don't have claustrophobia as this tiny constricted vent tunnel is not that pleasant to be in especially with all the dust that came with it. "Hold it," we've arrived by another yellow vent and I peeked through it and behold a dark scenery of damp floors and dark brick walls with multiple pipes of different colors flowing through it.
"Ok, this looks like a safe place to descend," I turned to Jill nodding and changed my position with my feet in front and my body in the back. Raising my angle in the air and bash! The vent cover shook as dust flew and once more bash! The screws have turned looser, one more time! Bash! Bang! This time, all screws were overturned and the cover fell down in a loud clang.
I positioned my feet past the vent hole and jumped down steadily, landing myself on my two feet splashing the small puddle everywhere. "The odor around here is terrible," I flapped my nose as Jill dropped down tactically and looked around. "From the surroundings, it's safe to conclude that we're down in the sewers below the city," Jill stated, touching the soft brick walls and knocking at them slowly.
"Where there's a sewer, there's a manhole cover to climb through," just a fun fact, but do you know that the fastest speed ever filmed in camera is not a car, neither a plane, nor is it a rocket. It's precisely a manhole cover and beneath said cover, laid an experimental nuclear bomb that promptly detached the cover and had it sent flying subsequent to the explosion.
"Ok, let's find it and get back to the station," we walked to a nearby entrance and closed the watertight door, we wouldn't want Nemesis to go down through the vent and followed us behind do we. And watertight are very strong doors that not just anyone can penetrate. "Carlos do you copy! Carlos! Shit!"
Jill tried contacting our overhead friends but all that came out are static buzzings and signal loss indications. "Let me give it a try, Carlos come in," I pressed the side button on my glasses and soon enough, radio hertz frequency waves showed up the top right of my spectacles and a small animation of radio waves reaching a satellite and back to earth played out, what'd you know, even Kingsman have their own cartoonish sense of humor.
"Calian! Are you and Jill fine!" He must have been given quite the fright with Jill suddenly deciding to use I and herself as bait to draw Nemesis away. "We're fine Carlos, we're in some underground sewers, don't worry about us, we'll find a way out," I closed communications and turned to Jill smiling mischievously, "It's not my fault your radio is not up to par."
Jill trembled in mock anger and opened the door to the room next to us. Into yet another small room with a desk and a chair complete with a table lamp and a black board coupled with some lockers on the side. "Look here, the sewer maps," Jill picked up a folded piece of paper from the drawer and opened it for us to look at. Nothing is written on it, it's all just layout a mere drawing with no labels and symbols.
"We'll just have to explore and find the exit then," I marched out of the room and looked ahead, the whole sewer is clouded in darkness with very small limited lighting in every intersection. "Do you have a flashlight, Jill?" I asked back to see her opening the door out and in her hands the flashlight we need.
"Found 'em in one of the lockers," she tied it on her shoulders and then at mine. "This will be most undeniably useful," I mused and looked forward, now the path is much more visible than before and we won't have to search blindly for the exit.
Now that we're ready, time to start our fabulous exploration in the sewers, it's going to be nasty no doubt and very, very unpleasant.
