To Find A Voice Recorder

General POV

"Umbrella killing all the researchers?!" Jill blurted out again and turned her eyes onto Mikhail with suspicion. "I didn't know anything about that, the U.B.C.S were tasked for search and rescue," Mikhail raised his eyebrows,, surprised by what the doctor said. It's true that he knew nothing on the subject.

"Let me try talking to him," Mikhail cleared his throat wand went forward to press the button below the speaker and took a deep breathe out of innocence. "Dr. Bard, I am U.B.C.S platoon leader, Mikhail Victor. I was sent here for search and rescue, we were tasked to evacuate you, doctor and the civilians."

"Bullshit! The U.S.S.A (Umbrella Security Service Alpha) was tasked the same thing! You know what they did?! Barged into the NEST and killed the entirety of the lab including Dr. William Birkin! No why would I trust a snitchin' bastard corporation any longer?!" The doctor roared from the speaker, talking with minimal pauses and direct accusations.

"Well then, how about a direct trip to US Military then, will that suffice?!" Jill took the stage and pressed down the button, trying a different approach. "Do you even have the means for that?! The city is completely blocked off! No way in or out!" What the doctor said is true and there may not be anyway out but it's definitely not impossible with a helicopter.

"I have information pertaining the whereabouts of a helicopter through the Umbrella facility below the hospital," Jill calmly said, thinking to herself that this will surely convince him. "How could I forget about the helicopter?! HAH! You're a genius?!" Jill suddenly felt smug in using an a certain someone laying on the bed's information.

"But... even if there's a helicopter, I can't get out of this room! The doors are locked from the outside! The only way to open the door is through voice recognition! With my own voice!" the doctor grumbled once more, feeling that all hopes have shattered and they're back to square one. "But isn't your voice now playing out through the speaker, doesn't that mean we could very well open the door?"

"It doesn't work that way darling, Umbrella security measures makes sure that internal voice can't be used for external voice recognition, you need something, a voice recorder! Why didn't I think of that! I used to have an insolent little nurse, more like a witch really. I caught here recording my conversation with her fellow similarly insolent nurse! I fired both of them but I did not remove the recorder!"

"It's in one of the rooms, I can't remember correctly where I last left it but it should still be there! Find the recorder and consider yourself granted in to the room!" And the voice shut, the clues out. "So, we need to find a voice recorder," Jill said to everyone in the room, all of them nodding in contemplation.

"Actually, why are you really here, Kendo? You don't seem... sick enough for a vaccine," Jill inquired inquisitively, with her fingers on her chin and her back laying on the wall. Kendo sighed once and twice and thrice, "My daughter is infected, she needs the vaccine as quick as possible." Kendo went behind the counter and carried a young girl from the seat.

That's very pitiful, the youth and beauty of the young no longer resides. The only thing left is the pale white skin and the slowly bulging veins of the young girl. Jill's eyes softens and shows immense pity, sighing herself along with Mikhail. "Then we should hurry, the corridors and doors back there are blocked, the only way left to go is that door."

Jill pointed at the double doors behind Kendo, "Time to go." Kendo laid his daughter back on the seat, wiping her forehead with utmost love and affection, his hope in curing her overthrowing any last hesitation. "Are we ready," Jill asked a rhetorical question as she obviously knew just how ready these folks are.

Opening the door in a bash, behold four zombies, crowding together with no way to go but to stand still, swaying slightly every now and then. Mikhail took care of them before anyone could raise their guns. Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! 4 shots, 4 zombies, total headshot wipeout! "Damn, you're good!" Kendo praised in shock.

"I'm not a platoon leader for nothing," Mikhail said in pride before proceeding to the nearest door that needed a keycard. "No keycard, no bueno," Mikhail looked down on the keycard pad and shook his head, his eyes looked over to the second nearest door without a lock. "This is exactly why I hate hospitals, too many doors. Too many locks."

"This hospital is full of creeps, there!" Mikhail found a very eerie corridor with a stairway at the end of it! Excellent, finally up to the second floor for our heroes and lovely heroine! "Right, the stairs with blood dripping on it, can't be anything good," Jill mumbled to herself at the sight of the blood, leaking from the second floor.

"Nothing is good around here," Kendo followed up onto the second floor with a door full of blood and the floor splashing with it. "This is disgusting, and I'm wearing my favorite boots. A new article of clothing to burn I guess," Mikhail chuckled at that and Kendo shifted nervously from the blood, I would've too if me the Narrator'd been there with them.

"Let's not mind the blood shall we, there's enough trauma as it is," Mikhail groaned and stepped carefully around the pool of blood, disgust not lost from his expressions. "Yes well, let's see where this goes to," Jill opened the door onto, I'll let everyone guess! A place full of pipes, ventilations, handrails, most importantly the sky!

Yes, it's the roof top! "I hate roof tops," Jill shuddered, thinking back to the moment she has to push the Nemesis off the roof with a car and to the roof of the construction building falling over to another building, very unpleasant I'll tell you, very unpleasant!
