What Are We Waiting For?!

Calian POV

Ok, I'm sorry but what? I just woke up from virtually my death and end up having self regenerative abilities. Bullcrap! I'm not gonna believe it until I see it myself. My eyes just so happened to have entered the realm of 720 pixels, now where's that knife. Right under the doctor's hand, I snatched from him and cut my palm open.

Apparently, when you've just awoken from a long coma, you don't feel too much pain and only a shock. And I had to practically bawl my eyes out upon seeing the sliced up skin, attached themselves effortlessly. Like a celestial weaver carefully tending and expertly weaving through my skin, not leaving even a single scar.

"Uhm, how did this happen exactly," I looked up to the doctor's face, showing only fascination. "Vaccine side effect, you just won the lottery with a 0.002 % chance of winning. If anything, I must pass my congratulations," this doctor is really arrogant isn't he. His entire tone doesn't sound very congratulating nor is it complimenting. It's not condescending either which is impressive considering the amount of conceit he just pulled off.

"I see you've rescued Dr. Nathaniel Bard here. So now, what are we to do?" Finally back up to ultra 4k HD, the world has finally gone clear. "Now, we enter the Umbrella Facility beneath the hospital," Jill carefreely said, without a tinge of worry and an excessive amount of confidence. Would want to see her succeed, that's my point of being in this world anyway.

"So, you used the vaccine on me. We've just wasted a priceless serum," I deadpanned, trying not to show too much emotions mainly because I'm all fake. I need a liable excuse to show that I'm serious. Don't call me a hypocrite, Jill will know in the near future, when I finally am brave enough and have found my time to admit the truth.

"About that, the doctor has a secret stash of it hidden in the Umbrella facility, we take the stash and then we are out of here," Jill replied, is Jill seriously the only one willing to talk to me at the moment or has everyone become mute. And a secret stash? Capcom really has been keeping secrets from the gamers.

I've never, and I said never have known about a secret stash of vaccines hidden in the facility! From what I knew, Jill failed to even transport a single vial of vaccine back from Raccoon City. "What are we waiting for?! I feel as energetic as a bull with the regenerative abilities of a planarian! Which I'd just known."

"It ain't that simple, we also need to find a sat phone," Mikhail finally joined in with a smile that is not a smile, it also doesn't reach his eyes as he kept glancing hatefully at Tyrell and a destroyed rectangular device place on the table. "And what's the sat phone for," I tilted my head, I don't remember anyone ever needing a sat phone in Resident Evil 3.

"Raccoon City will be nuked in approximately... 2 and a half hours. We need the sat phone to give a call to Uncle Sam," Thanks Carlos but how could I forget?! Of course! Raccoon City will soon be facing unprecedented destruction! The missile will reach the city just in time for Carlos and Jill to quickly bail out on their chopper.

Let's not forget Claire, Leon and Sherry also made it out on a tram train but that's for Resident Evil 2, wrong setting. "Right... right, once again I'm saying what are we waiting for," I spread my arms open and hopped off the hospital bed. "Yes exactly what are we waiting for. Doc, you know the way in?" Tyrell became the one to respond to my words.

"Of course I knew son, I lived under the hospital for at least 6 months. Umbrella has an excellent cafeteria with a wild assortment of delicacies, American, Italian, French, British, Middle Eastern, Mexican, South African, Chinese, Russian, Swiss cheese, Korean, Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese, Australian, Indian, Icelandic, Danish, Finnish, Irish, Norwe-"

"You can shut up," Mikhail stopped the doc right there and the doctor still had the cheek to look offended. God, is Dr. Nathaniel Bard this talkative, listing every single country in the world with the delicacies found in Umbrella's cafeteria. And boy oh boy, Umbrella's cafeteria has a wide range of cuisine. I mean, Icelandic, I can't even name one type of food unique to Iceland. (A.N : Doesn't mean Iceland doesn't have their own cuisine)

"Now, shall we get to it," Mikhail abruptly stood up and unclipped his magazine for a quick ammo check and reclipped it with ease. "Wait a second," I said once more and slit my wrist again and well, there it covered itself back. "It seemed that I have really transcended the realm scientific and humanistic norm."

Although this ability seems a bit freaky and very-very good, I can't help but think one day in the future, I'm captured and tortured under duress of all sorts of skin tearing pain. I'd regenerate over and over and over and over again, I'll 100% go insane. What if in one of the future worlds, a lab kidnapped me and slice up every part of my body for the sake of experimentation on my regenerative abilities.

I shuddered in thought, it's the first time that I've ever thought, strength and power is really everything. Being a rich kid, doesn't mean I'm a weak flimsy good-for-nothing. I'm a top prodigy, one of the best in the world, and I would not get myself beaten and torn to madness over one little ability I got on a whim of saving a police officer.

"Well, let's get to it," I smiled and nodded at everyone before taking a good look at Kendo. I did told him of a vaccine and it looks like his daughter is A ok. If I remember in the second Resident Evil game, his daughter were 'half-zombified' with only a tiny shred of consciousness left. "What's her name," I gently stroke the pony on top of his daughter's forehead, stroking it to the right.

(A.N : I'm sorry if anyone is uncomfortable with Kendo's daughter's name. I didn't knew she had a name until I looked it up on Google. It turns out her real name is Emma. I'm not gonna change her name though, Natalie sounds beautiful enough for an equally beautiful little girl.)

"Her name's Natalie," Kendo gently smiled as he brushed Natalie's hair affectionately. I want a daughter, it's been a dream of mine to have a son and daughter with whomever I married in the future. My eyes roamed on its own towards Jill, hmm, a good future.
