Crynn POV
"Now, for the next trick," Madam Malkin, summoned a long roll of fabric from the side cabinets and began covering the mannequin in all sorts of fabrics. "What color?" Madam Malkin asked and I could see the shape of the clothing started to appear. I'm always a fan of black so why would I choose something other than it.
Madam Malkin nodded and twirled her wand, transforming a part of the blank white silk to multiple shades of dark, from black to light gray. Madam Malkin then swung her wand once more, throwing a few buttons and stitching strings into the mix and the whole mannequin is covered in a jumble of all kinds of textiles.
And Finally, Madam Malkin struck her wand forward and the jumble became one into a dashing tuxedo like the ones everyone wore in this movie. I still couldn't believe that a piece of clothing is done in just under 45 seconds, multiple wand waves, it's too simple! "Is this to your liking?" Madam Malkin voiced out, satisfied by her work.
"Can I try something?" I asked forward before doing a test. "You're welcome to try dear. Worst case scenario, I'll just Reparo the whole shop," Madam Malkin joked and stepped back in courtesy, gesturing me to continue. I opened my suitcase and pulled out my Mle. 1950 from the heat of Egypt to try and fare the robe to this!
I've always wondered how wizarding robes would do against the power of muggle weaponry that is bullets and t's no joke that a bullet could pierce almost all household items and kill you in a single press of a trigger. Bang! Bang! Bang! I shot three times and the llud bang certainly shocked Madam Malkin and Aria behind me.
Ching! Ching! Ching! The three shots made sparks meeting the fabric and instead of penetrating it, it ricocheted off! Secondly, the bounced shots that went towards the wooden walls of the store didn't even get embedded into it! It simply hit the wall, the bullet got pressed under pressure into a coin and fell down to the ground in a ting! And the shop remained silent.
Did my bullet do nothing at all! Let's forget the tuxedo for a second, is the density of the wooden walls higher than the density of a lead bullet! This is preposterous, what is up to this world! Have you ever seen wood beat lead, I'm sure you haven't, only in the Wizarding World folks! I felt my Harry Potter world view shatter beyond recognition
Doesn't this mean that wizards could simply stroll out and take over the world without any casualty! I mean bullets don't do shit to the tuxedo and neither does it do any harm to wizarding wood! "Err... What might that be?" Madam Malkin looked curiously at my pistol as my face went black. This explains why C4 only leaves a man with scratches in front of Gringotts.
"Advance muggle weaponry, looks to be useless in front of your robes Madam Malkin," I complimented her and she immediately revealed a proud look. "Hah! Those muggle with their 'primitve' advanced weapons can't hope to penetrate my magically crafted robes!" She haughtily said as her curiosity towards my pistol turned to disdain.
Now I know why wizards underestimate muggles, it's because wizards are simply too powerful! At least now I know to never use muggle weapons in front of wizards, it would hardly do anything. "Right madam, I'm very content and I would like to pack the robe and another of the same design but one dark blue colored."
"Let's not forget my friend would also like a robe with similar configurations and actually, could I perhaps wear the robes this instant?" I spoke and Madam Malkin nodded multiple times. "The fitting room's that way," she pointed her wand at the tuxedo and directly took it off the mannequin and folded it neatly and placed it in front of me.
I touched the surface of the tux and wow, so smooth, I could run my hands through this everyday! I happily grabbed the set of clothing and strolled to the fitting room and came out absolutely debonair! I look like a true noble Englishman with this tux on! I looked and saw that Aria's robes is done!
A very elegant black princess coat with white engravings on the outside, fully displaying the flair of the outfit. Behind the coat is a simple yet beautiful black sweater that looks comfortable to wear. "Ooh, this is good looking," I tidied my tuxedo as I looked at the coat from up to down and I noticed black stockings at the bottom of the long coat skirt and raised the hem to find slick long pants.
Everything's nice looking! Aria nodded in satisfaction as well and grabbed the full set to be put on. "How much totally?" Well, I'm expecting a high cost but who really knows what the cost is. "60 galleons," oh, only 60, not so bad at all. I arranged the 60 galleons in an orderly manner per ten coins each stack making 6 small stacks.
I heard footsteps and immediately found myself looking at Aria, wow. Where did those low oxford heels come from but more importantly, is it just me or is Aria glowing. She looks like a genuine princess, no scratch that. Maybe queen, not quite right. Empress, yes an empress, a black empress, as elegant as a swan but still as approachable as anyone and much less royal.
I had full compliments to her and let's not forget Madam Malkin who made the coat and everything, extraordinary! And all of this is worth 60 galleons combined with mine and her other dress, isn't this a little bit too cheap? "Oh Merlin! You might be the one whom put on our clothes the best looking!" Madam Malkin wholeheartedly praised.
"Well, are you ready to go?" I've only got one more agenda to run and then, we're going to the ministry. And I've just realized that Aria now seemed to have a pureblood aura like that which I imagined Narcissa Malfoy to have and any other powerful noble witch. "I am, never imagined this to be this cozy, I thought its bulk and overly fancy style would be too heavy or too bulky and much too hot but no, it seems to adjust to temperatures."
The wonder of wizards and witches, indoor cooling charms and heating charms, they invented the suitable air conditioner ages before it's invented. Well, time to go, I've had enough time staring at Aria, she doesn't even seem to notice.
