Tasked On An Adventure

Crynn POV

"Since the Department of Mysteries Operatives have recently had a shortage of employees, why don't I task each one of you to this glorious job!" Now that's what I'm talking about! "Wait, what?" Newt Scamander looked speechless, please don't mess this up. I'd really want to continue the hidden mission.

"It's simple really, you three are going to help us uncover the secrets behind this pearl! You're not gonna reject, are you?" he sounded fakely sweet in the end like he's utmostfully hoping for us to take the job. "It's our pleasure to accept!" I instantaneously said and I smirked when I saw Newt Scamander his mouth to say something but I beat him to it, he's now glaring at me.

"Perfect! Perfect! Now, come with me!" The unspeakable keenly said as he stood up and beckoned everyone to follow him. Aria's got no opinion and Scamander's as reluctant as ever. "So does that mean we're going to be an operative?" I took my time to ask, every question is important. "No you're not, you're all interns."

"Welcome to the office!" Opening the door, Mr. H spread his arms proudly wide and in honor! I can see why he's proud though, look at this place! We entered into a gigantic cylindrical room! It's truly enormous and quite largely spacious! On all walls are the offices, numerous large rooms with tall, wide clear windows, overlooking this cylindrical almost rotunda room, only missing a dome.

And connected to the roof on the middle of the room is yet another room, like a bubble, acting as a central overseer office, might that be Mr. H's office, probably. "You'll get your own office soon enough but before that, we need to take a stop into the archives," we walked to the center of the room where 3 other paths branch out to three different corridors.

"On the left is our External Affairs Sector and on the right is the Internal Affairs Sector. And we're going straight to the Discovery Affairs Sector where you'll find the archives, the library, the playroom, research subsector, and more!" He excitedly explained as he led us into the corridor and past the door into another big chamber.

Still cylindrical, the chamber extends to multiple corridors to go through. "This way to the archives," this place looks quite like a maze, doesn't it. With all the corridors, anyone could get lost. As expected, the archives is another room with big proportions, mostly filled with shelves and racks on top of racks, stacked with different objects.

"In the British Isles, if we say that we have the second largest magical storage, no one will dare say they're the first. Our archives store not only the biodata of every living human in the British Isles, muggle included but also possibly every single magical item you'd ever think off! From weapons of mass destruction to simple extraordinary house hold cleaners, we've got them all!"

"One warning, don't touch anything, some of the items here are still not sealed or some unknown curse from the ages of old still remain. It has become a de facto rule since the tragic event of a newly conscripted operative went into the archives and touched an ancient harmless Roman vase, the results weren't pity, it suffice to say, that operative will never see the light of day again, literally and figuratively."

That's an ominous warning, but I got it, almost killed by a vampire because touched a diamond tiara, not happening twice. "Either way, we're going to the operative section of the archives," he brought us to a small room where numerous neatly placed boxes is placed in these flying containers which is meters above my head.

"Find records belonging to Brasidas Malfoy," the unspeakable spoke to thin air as the containers started rotating and giving way for a container to land on a nearby table. "Let's see what's in this," he rubbed his hands together and lifted the lid and two piece of paper lay inside the moderately sized box, is this all there is?

"Too be expected, Brasidas Malfoy has always been one of the most secretive wizard and witch in the Department of Mysteries. Brasidas Malfoy was a man of challenges, always trying to find the hardest puzzles to solve, most undiscovered discoveries to find. He found the legendary genie's lamp which we had to lock up for safety reasons and also found a remnant of Pandora's box which almost destroyed Greek but let's not mention that."

"The last assignment he took was among the toughest task, Atlantis! Only a few major and minor Department of Mysteries dig sites depict of this once big city of extramarvelous technology humankind has ever seen. The problem was, until now, there's never a legitimate breakthrough on the subject until Brasidas Malfoy took over."

"The discovery of the Age Lantern proves what everyone thought were just plain myth and legend true. A lantern made with till now, unidentified material with the ability to ward off astral beings is truly a find. Murals of old, poems translating to the existence of Atlantis with signs showing that the lantern were among thousands more, commonly produced and manufactured in the sunken kingdom."

"The only shame is, the man's highly paranoid! Antisocial, introvert, hates crowds with a passion, absolutely friendless. Anyone to admit knowing him would most likely be a liar because he's seriously that kind of wizard. He once froze an entire muggle village just because it's too crowded for him to breathe and he isn't even the type of me to discriminate against muggles, that almost earned a suspension, like he cared."

"It's already a fortune for him to leave to insignificant looking pieces of paper. He hardly ever wrote, in his eyes, action proves everything and writings prove nothing and that you are a coward, very ridiculous but so as everyone else in his era, all lunatics. Either way, let's open this treasure throve!" God! That's a lot of information which I find very interesting!

I'm liking the Wizarding World more and more now!
