Crynn POV
Oh dear, the streets are in chaos, all because of one big beast! Men and women are running to steer clear of the creature's path. Chariots, bicycles, and cars are scrambling out of there. Most importantly, all of them are muggles. The zouwu towered over everyone like a mini mountain, showing its majesty and power.
The zouwu smashed over a car, flipped it upside down and roared at it with fury. It continued to swirl around it's axis as the long red feathery tail blissfully revolved with much more elegance than a peacock. And well, the zouwu isn't stopping its roars. At that moment, Newt placed his briefcase flat on the floor and opened it.
"C'mon Newt, get out of there!" Jacob appeared anxious, looking between Newt and the big zouwu. "Don't worry, love, Newt has everything under control," Queenie said with a relaxed expression but Jacob couldn't help but look as if she had lost her mind. But what she said is pretty much true, thsi is nothing to Newton Scamander.
"How is he going to handle this?" Aria whispered with curiosity but no spoilers. "You'll see it in a sec, it's pretty simple," it looks easy to do, but definitely not as easy if it were we whom have done it. The zouwu circled around Newt before directly going into a face to face confrontation that started with a loud roar which blew the bottom of Newt's long coat.
Newt interestingly raised a sudden stick but its no ordinary wood. It's a stick with a jingly bell on top and a rather cute and also furry small face plastered on the tip. With just a few shakes, the cute face and equally adorable bell jingles, immediately drawing the zouwu's attention. There's no longer anger and intimidation on the zouwu, but pure cat-like curiosity.
Newt slowly moved the stick from right to left, left to right as the zouwu's gaze and movements followed the stick, think of it as playing fetch. With a final jingle, Newt dropped the stick into his briefcase as the zouwu roared and jumped to catch the stick but ultimately not only failing, he also got sucked into Newt's little zoo in a briefcase.
Adding it up, the French all watching from behind Newt, applauded heavily and heavily praised Newt. "We need to leave quickly, the muggles are watching and the French Ministry will soon arrive," I rushed to Newt and muttered. Out of nowhere, a very special looking card appeared and shone on Newt's hand with a golden arrow pointing somewhere.
"We have a destination, let's go!" Newt pocketed the card, leapt forward, grabbed everyone in a whirl and the last thing I saw was darkness engulfing us alive. Twisted stomachs, elongated bodies, great, apparition. And... exit, Jacob is not looking so good but in terms of teleportation, apparition is indeed better than portkeys.
"So... follow the card, which leads..." Newt got to work and check the card, the shining arrow is pointing to a rickety white building which has certainly seen better days. Newt flipped the card and it had a symbol on it which matched the symbol on a hanging sign, connected to the building. "We're here then," Newt said the obvious and went near the door.
The card glowed as did the doorknob, opening itself for the visitors to enter, wizards invented keycards way further back then muggles do, awesome. "Erm... Take a seat while I tend downstairs," Newt put the briefcase at once and without any warning, opened and entered through it. The host is gone, okay.
Tina levitated the unconscious Yusuf Kama onto a chaise lounge and the rest of us sat at old wooden chairs around Kama. Silence ensued with nobody speaking at first, well this is awkward. "You're called Crynn right?" Ooh, Queenie remembers me and so I nod. "I was just wondering, why did Newt just incapacitate the lovely French lady trying to help me?" Oh, that one.
"Unless you consider a loyal Grindelwald follower as lovely, that's about the reason. Probably trying to sympathize with you and then, pull you into Grindelwald's sphere, quite cunning I may say," Queenie is stunned, without words, only to close her mouth back. "I'm sorry? Who are you and you?" Tina sharply interrogated I and Aria, off to a bad start?
"My name is Crynn Avter, she's Ariane Veil," I said and Tina raised a brow. "That's it?" Tina questioned and I shrugged showing that yes, that is it! Tina looks like her mind has been clogged by a bunch of thunder clouds, I did only reveal our name, no big information gotten there. "And why are you in Paris then?"
"We're here for a conference, that's all I can say," Tina's eyes twitched at that and she sighed. She turned to the blacked-out Yusuf Kama and sighed once more, quite a sigher huh? "I'm gonna go, check on Newt," Jacob stood and knelt down in Newt's briefcase and took a peek. Hey, uhh, Newt?! Buddy, Tina's up here. She's uhh... bored and uhh... maybe you want to come up and keep her company?"
"I'm going to go look for food around here..." Jacob screamed into the briefcase, expecting a reply. "Okay," but unfortunately, getting no replies, leaving the briefcase to search around for some French canned food or stale bread. Not finding any, he proceeded upstairs just before Newt finally appeared from the briefcase.
"She responds well to the dittany I gave her. She was born to run you see and I think she's ehm... I think she's just lacking in confidence," Newt started but Tina isn't going to listen about a magical creatures lesson. So she stood up and spoke clearly and coldly, "Mr. Scamander, have you got anything in your case that can help revive this man?"
"I need to question him, I think he knows who Credence really is and the scars on his hand suggests an-" "Unbreakable vow," Both Newt and Tina uttered the same two words, unbreakable vow. As the name suggests it can't be broken. Well, it technically can but it comes with the dire consequence of death.
