Crynn POV
Suffice to say, all the surrounding aurors that are left in this mess was just killed in an outrage, Grindelwald has such a temper. A roll of flames came from our bottom left, time to run away... yet again. Newt and Theseus both shoot out strong bolts of red as they hinder the flames' continuous movement but its still moving fast!
Another big tongue of fire suddenly appeared in front of us as Newt made a reinforced shield but the flames continued blasting against it and based on the sparks and slowly cracking bubble, the shield won't hold long. "Credence!!!" Grindelwald made a loud echoing call that resounded throughout the whole room.
Looks like Grindelwald is starting to look for Credence, it seems that he expected Credence to join him on his own but that isn't exactly happening. "Don't you want to know your true identity! Your heavenly purpose on our world!" Grindelwald calmly raised his voice with his arms opened wide, and flames flaming tall.
But seriously man, heavenly? That's a bit rich and generous coming from you, don't you think so? I gazed at Credence through the corner of my eyes and oh ho ho ho, look at that, he isn't budging which is very good. "When do you think we should make our exit?" I said to Newt still busy defending and Theseus, also busy shielding around.
"You think we can escape in this predicament?!" Theseus shouted, his eyes still very much focusing upon the flames! A figure slid down the gap between the wide flames and the flooring, who is it? "How are you?" A soft and solemn voice greeted me, Aria, you're here! "What do you think?" I asked back, we're trapped in a fire and a hard place, what do you think of that?
"I assume, not very good," you assume?! It's clearly not very good, not very good at all! "Credence!!!" Grindelwald sounds angrier and angrier, I wouldn't want to be on his bad side. Fortunately, I am not, unfortunately, I am in his worse side. I peeked behind the stone cover to find Grindelwald looking like a composer playing a grand piece of music but all I can hear are screams and the sound of burning fire!
The flames flared more and the left over MACUSA aurors on the other side are all picked off easily while some tried to escape via apparition but failed miserably as they were intercepted and burned to ashes. One man however managed to make a daring and successful escape, he positioned his apparition to the side so that during the flames' interception, he managed to swerve and went off. I remember that guy, he was the raid leader of the group of MACUSA aurors.
"Mr. Scamander! Do you think Dumbledore will mourn for you?!" After the massive killing, Grindelwald diverted his attention towards Newt and Theseus Scamander, and the flames temporarily stopped to give way for Grindelwald's menacing stare. Now, I don't know where the hell Yusuf Kama is or... Leta Lestrange? God! How could I forget!
Leta Lestrange will die here! Grindelwald showed a fierce expression and forcefully shoved his wand up as flames arrived in an instant on our location. Newt and Theseus almost couldn't put a shield off in time as the flames are much much stronger and faster since the last time. I can't really do anything, can't I? God, am I such a useless aspect in this entire battle.
Well, at least I can learn to not f*ck with the wrong people, orange equipment don't do shit in this situation! "How are you holding up?" I said to Newt, he is genuinely struggling with all his life right now. "We're in peril," that's not what I asked but I guess that meant that he won't be able to hold for that long a duration.
"Credence!!! Where are you! Come out and join me in this circle of fire!" Can you quit it Grindelwald, like please, Credence won't join you anymore. You are too much of a deceiver and manipulator. "Grindelwald stop!" A brave and courageous voice halted the flames' advance, oh boy, here we go.
Upon hearing Leta's voice, Grindelwald really stopped his attack to turn towards Leta, smirking widely. "Leta!" Theseus called out in surprise, his expression looks very bad. I don't need to feel a bad premonition because if everything goes to line, Leta will die. I might or might not be able to change it, I'll try though but if it's too dangerous, I'm bailing straight out.
The flames are finally gone, I'm able to look at what's happening with complete transparency. Leta Lestrange is slowly stepping down the stairs in the most aristocratically elegant and arrogant flair. As soon as Theseus is about to run after her, Grindelwald nonchalantly flicked his wand in Theseus' direction without even looking at him, sending flames to block him.
Theseus shouted in rage as he deflected flame by flame trying to reach Leta but unfortunately, the flames are just too powerful to breach. "Now, this one, I believe I know," Grindelwald said while getting off the stage and went to meet Leta on the edges of the lowest stair steps. "Despised entirely by wizards, unloved, mistreated but brave, very brave."
Grindelwald had climbed enough steps to stand on equal footing with Leta. Knowing that he couldn't get through the flames anytime soon, Theseus Scamander has stopped and looked at Leta and Grindelwald in fear and anxiousness, worry fills him of his love and soon-to-be-wife. Newt can't do much either, he could only spectate from the side lines.
"It's time to come home," Grindelwald stretched out his hand, inviting Leta to this very delicious and seductive request, to join him towards glory! Leta slowly had her hand rise, Theseus tensely watched the happenings unfolding in front of his eyes. As Leta took Grindelwald's hand, instead of bringing it, Grindelwald lamely pulled back and shook his head.
What's gonna happen now?
