Calian POV
"Great, you'll get your check-up we'll meet you back at the convoy," my mood today just advanced several levels which is great. The fact that I performed something supernatural is a first time experience for me, a genuinely nice experience. Perhaps I should start doing rituals, on second thought, that might not be the best idea.
"See you," V waved her hand and walked away in the direction of where her car's parked. "Hmm... Today's a surprising day," Jill is quite openminded with everything's that happened to her apart from being a bit mad one time, it has been smooth sailing ever since. "A lot will be much more surprising in the future," I said as we strolled in a relaxed way.
"You haven't the last three worlds I've been in. Death is right in front of my doorsteps more than once and it's not very exciting though the experience is thrilling but if faced with near deaths over and over again, it's not that fun," I haven't actually faced any near death experiences except for the entirety of Resident Evil which can shove off.
Kingsman is pretty chill, most of the time it's just hostage negotiation which is not difficult, if it falls apart, we shoot a couple of dudes silently and retrieve the hostage without most of the kidnappers even realizing on that important fact. John Wick is straight forward, the 'Baba Yaga' is pretty approachable and a relatively nice guy without considering the fact that he is a top assassin.
"You haven't seen a wizard trying to destroy Paris with fires too hot for me to handle," Ariane joked, but I do know that description. "Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald?" I asked with my head perked up, I like Harry Potter, all of it except Cursed Child, Fantastic Beast is also not bad in my terms at least, I'm not a movie critique.
"Exactly," both Crynn and Ariane stated at the same time. "I totally don't know what you're all talking about," I heard Jill chuckled, she is from the 1990s which is a bit ancient. "Harry Potter tells the story of a young boy who went on to defeat the most evil dark lord with his friend. While Fantastic Beasts tell the story of a wizard with a lot of beast trying to take down another dark lord who also has an affair with the wizard's boss," I think that's an okay explanation.
"That might be crudest explanation for Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts I've ever heard. It's not just a story of a young boy, it's a story of progress, of friendship, of love, of dedication, it rose from rated G to rated PG-13 in the middle and rated R in the end, you can't explain like Harry Potter is some cliched book, it's a total masterpiece!" Crynn argued steadfast, looks like we've got a fan over here.
"Wait how does something go from rated G to rated R?" Jill curiously asked, this conversation has gone quite a ways. "In the first and second movies, it's all bright and shiny, in third movie, it goes towards another more emotional direction. And from the 6th movie up there's a lot of discrimination and overall adult topics," there you have it from Crynn.
"Right," Jill shrugged as we silently walked towards the horizon, the moon shining brighter than ever and the stars are actually visible in the sky. "So, what do you all expect from this world," V asked to fill the silence between us. This world huh, this is a messy dilapidated world because technology isn't everything, if you see from an analytical angle, social values are worth much more than advancements.
"So far so good, I'm seeing this from a more optimistic side of things, so I'm expecting great things to come and experiences we can learn from. After all, it's not everyday we get thrown in a world quite like this," Crynn answered first, I kind of agree with him though maybe a bit less optimistic than him.
"From what I see, this world is not very good in lawful terms. I'm not sure, the road ahead might be full of obstacles," a short but clear statement given by Jill, I agree with her fully, there's bound to be some problems in every lane of life whether in the past or future. Oh is it my turn now, what shall I say?
"Hmm... This is clearly an unstable world where international laws don't really apply and corporates run mostly rampant. Our next task is to precisely go into one of these rampant corporations which will bound to bee dangerous. All I want to say is, expect more for reality than your own expectations. Just be ready for all kinds of situations," I think that's enough.
"Now I found myself missing the world," Ariane sighed in melancholy. "Who doesn't, it's like homesickness, you view the world you came from or we came from as our home, a place we place our attachments in and however hard we try to see past, we end up remembering that park near our home where we used to go everyday after school," Crynn sighed as well, now this is depressing.
"How about you Jill, you are from the disastrous game world of Resident Evil, miss Raccoon City much?" Hey! I was hoping to ask that, Ariane. "I did not miss Raccoon City, I hated it. What I miss is the friends, my colleagues and everyone else that mean something to me from the city which should now be reduced to just piles of rubble."
"Even then, almost all my friends are dead, only a few are still alive and kicking even if I hadn't seen them in weeks before I even left. And from Calian's description of future me, to be honest, I don't really know myself whether I even miss the world I'm from," I think this is all sad enough and look, our aircraft is mere meters away, let's be off of here.
