Calian POV
"Just cut off all the cables connected to the headgear. Doing that would ensure the digitalized consciousness of the netrunners to be trapped in the deep net and it's suffice to say, they will not be returning back to their bodies for quite a long while when that happens," it seems that this will be easier than I thought.
"So, Crynn, you're the man with the sword," very sharp sword, I saw how those sabers slashed at the guards' throats, it slid open without a shred of resistance! "Aye aye captain," Crynn did a mock salute and pulled his sabers in the most fashionably less than quick action, showcasing all the highlights it has.
Next up, comes the wrecking, or is it slicing. Either way, the cables were through like butter, nothing is stopping those blades from getting at them. After the first bout of cables were off, strong electric bolts burst out like a malfunctioning toaster out of the seams and the body laying on the chair convulsed to then stay still as if nothing happened.
"Whoever that is will have one hell of a headache after he managed to return to his body," one hell of a headache doesn't sound or bode well for anyone. Apparently, Crynn doesn't just have the sabers for a simple flaunt, he has some strong moves as well. He spun his body in an aerodynamical angle as he jumped up, wind soaring about, halving the next four cables. Like, what did I just watch, an unrealistic Chinese martial arts drama? Turns out, it is realistic to some extent.
And with another flurry of swings, all was done, as simple as that, total shock. "Damn! The only one with such clean moves I've ever seen had was Sandayu Oda!" V exclaimed thunderously while clapping lie a fangirl and expressions clearly stating her admiration. "Sandayu Oda?" I questioned because just as everything in this world is unfamiliar, that name is also unrecognized by me.
"Ah, samurai master and Arasaka bodyguard. He's a nightmare, I almost died under his katana for more than 10 times, like seriously, one moment he's there and the other moment, he's at another there. I only won against him from sheer dumb luck, HA!" V looks very proud, obviously a Japanese swordsman that according to description moves like a flash, seems difficult to handle but fortunately, protagonist always have their halo and as she said, sheer dumb luck.
"Are these the only netrunners we need to take care of?" Crynn put his fabulous sabers back into their equally beautiful sheathes, I love swords, I've always wanted to have a cane sword. Spoilers, I have ten back at home but here's not home, right? "No, there are a lot more netrunners for HQs especially Militech, the militarized heart of the NUSA."
"But, we don't need to take care of them because these few netrunners are stationed down here in the internal sections to digitally guard the internal sections which means that even if there are other netrunners, they won't pay attention to this area," oh good, no more digital protection to worry about then, at least for now, don't know about later.
"Let's go and see what our fellow hackers have found then," I walked out the secret room and found that the CCTV screens have all blacked out and only Ariane and Jill's monitor still on. "So I have a lot of good news and no bad news," excellent, that's what anyone would like to hear, good news all the way.
"I've looked at the schedule and looks like a few department heads went absent today. The Head of Militech Internal Relations, Head of Import Export Trade and the Head of Nasional Transportation," Jill started off, now we got three options, we need to pick one department to get the database, which one is the question.
"I think we should go for the Department of Export Import Trade, It's the nearest t our current location, just two levels above and it's also a bit empty. Why it is a bit empty, that's because their most recently retired department head is having his 90th birthday and has invited everyone to come. So there will only be a few guys up in the place," yep, we're going with that.
"As you may see, we've disabled CCTV cameras, turrets and robotics," robotics? "You mean, you disabled the guardbots?" V raised her brow as Ariane nodded. "That's superb and it's only been 4 minutes, maybe this is a sign that Militech should further increase their none mechanical guards," magnificent work if I says so myself, now we don't need to worry about those creepy bots again.
"So, keycard is over there in that metal box, just shoot it open or something and maybe we should also each grab a security card as well, who knows when we'll need it," got'cha, now box, over there. This is surprising, unlike anything else, this box is locked with a genuine real metal lock, finally something less advanced for us to work with.
"No need to shoot, I got this," hmm? Crynn interjected as he lowered his back to look at the lock, on his hand are two pins. Am I going to be presented with a scene like no other? Real life lock picking? Oh yeah I am! Crynn jammed the two pins into the lock and moved it around with a professional air, how long will this take?
Crick! A tap and the lock is open, that might be faster than my hand could move around a PS4 controller to lock pick a box in Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. Crynn flipped the cover around as a whole lot of keycards is hanging inside this box, "Search for the Department of Export Import Trade Director's Office keycard," I said while scrambling in to find it.
"There are no indication for what we're looking for except different symbols lasered to each keycards," symbols... symbol of export import trade, "Find a keycard with the symbol of a... globe with two arrows." The globe to represent international and the arrows to indicate the flow of trade in and out of a country.
"Found it!"
