General POV
"No it's not," both Ko Gil and Archer denied instantly.
"Correct! It's Excalibur!" Zahid said cheerfully, it's not a lie to say that the sword had become his favorite. "PFFFFFT!!!" Ko Gil spurted out a whole mouthful of wine onto the table. Archer is more or less the same, chocking on air. "Why can't it be Excalibur?" Rin looked at the two, confused as she silently muttered a spell to rid of the spilt wine.
"I have seen Excalibur!" The two said in synchronization, practically shouting as they pointed at the long sword. "Wait a second, you two have seen Excalibur? Gilgamesh has all the treasures in the world which I can see how he could but Archer, you said that your memories are hazy but you can remember a sword?"
"King Arthur's sword?" Rin looked at Archer pointingly as he shifted his glance upwards. "Ahem... anyway, can I have a touch?" Archer coughed as he stretched his hand out near to 'Excalibur'. "Go for it," Zahid readily gave away as Archer strongly gripped the hilt of the sword with one hand, his eyes zooming in.
"Let me see your secrets!" His eyes brightened as the scenery changed! Chirp chirp! The harmonious sound of flying birds and rustling leaves invaded his ears. Archer looked around, it was a meadow, peaceful but the sudden sound of multiple horses. "Arthur! Don't go too quick!" Although the voice was of Ancient Celtic Welsh, Archer as a man of many languages, could immediately discern and understand it.
"Arthur?" He whispered as he stared at a handsome young male, riding on horseback followed by several others. A middle aged man and a few what looked like knights on light armor. "Calm Myrddin, to enjoy a breeze is to ride along it," Arthur laughed as the middle aged man only sighed as he followed after.
"Merlin? What is this?! This is not King Arthur and Merlin!" Archer shouted in disbelief as he controlled his invisible body towards Arthur whom stopped by a tree. "Hmm..." Arthur frowned as he looked around. "I sense something nearby! Could it be treasure?" Arthur's eyes shone like stars as his intuition is never one to wrong him and Archer could feel it himself.
"No this is not the King Arthur! This is another King Arthur!" Archer finally realized what went wrong in his perception. The King Arthur he is watching right now is of a parallel world existent, not the Arthur Archer knew. "Treasure? It couldn't-" Myrddin (Merlin) scoffed halfway before Arthur, exploring around somehow fell into a hole!
"Arthur, are you alright?" Anxious, Myrddin and the knights rode towards the small hole in which they say Arthur disappear into and peered downwards towards it. "I'm fine Myrddin! I've found myself in a pool!" Arthur reported as he rose towards some dry ground in this... cave. No light could be found except the rays through the hole which is enough to brighten the entire place up.
"Whoa... Where have I found myself in?" Arthur gazed around, shocked and amazed by what he discovered all around. Archer is no less surprised as what he found could only be described as modern and advanced. It's a room covered by eroded white tiles, vines hanging off the ceiling and an entrance that has been caved in.
But what attracted young Arthur was not the digital command consoles spread around the room nor the cables wired around, but the sword, seemingly brightened by the sunlight, standing in the center of the room, inserted into a pedestal. "Is this the origins of the parallel world Excalibur!" Archer looked as Arthur slowly approached the pedestal, enamored by the sword thrust within it.
Arthur placed both of his hands on the hilt of the sword as light enveloped the room and the ground beneath the pedestal trembles in excitement. "Detected wielder. Scanning for compatibility: at 95%. Isu bloodline: diluted, access given: minimal," a mysterious language came into Arthur and Archer's ears, the former not understanding it the slightest bit, the latter knowing of it through the sword's history.
Arthur slowly raised the sword until it is unclasped by the confines of the pedestal as he loudly says, "This sword! I name! Caledfwlch (Excalibur)!" He said in absolute joy as the sword released a barrage of concentrated energy slashes to the ceilings around the room, causing sparks and cutting through the metal. This is the beginning of a King!
"It's not important to focus too much on the development of a different Arthur, let's look backwards!" Archer opened his eyes and the entire world changes into a spiral, clocks ticking and warps fusing. Decades passed, centuries go by, thousands of years before any civilizations and it's still going!
Tens of thousands of years, that's what it took to go back to the first creation of Excalibur. "Lord Hephaistos, energy accumulators online, ready to inject and infuse!" A man wearing white robes came to another wearing red and clearly more privileged and noble in stature. "Hephaistos? God of Fire and Blacksmithing!" Archer personally can't wait to view the forging techniques of this Greek God.
"Good, activate it upon the forge!" Hephaistos commanded as multiple men and women moved to activate the controls on the different panels around the room. "Energy accumulated, sun power maximized, thermal core active, starting stabilization, controlling power supply," several voices echo around as the protruding tubes placed meticulous around begin to glow in yellow.
"Commence!" Hephaistos said as the beams of yellow shot out of the tubes. "Forge!" A burst of powerful and seemingly limitless energy burst out of Hephaistos' hands, enveloping the centerpiece at which all the lights meet. At that exact middle, a shape slowly formed, shattered and smote, reformed and rebuilt!
Before finally, piercing light fully covered the room, with intensity no less than standing directly in front of the sun, the various men and women as well as Hephaistos was not blinded at all with their open eyes but instead extremely enlivened and thrilled! "WE! WE HAVE DONE IT!"
