Hatred...

My legs were aching, for standing for a long time, my face was stiff, for having to smile all the time and my throat was dry from having to repeat the same words.

"Good evening. Welcome to Libra hotel. May you show me your invitation card, please," I said in a polite manner.

The manager made the employees, including me, wear uniforms. We usually were able to wear our casual clothes as long as it was proper, but unfortunately not this time.

My hair was tied in a high ponytail. I wore a tie neck, vintage pencil black dress. It reached my knees and fitted my curves perfectly. It made me look elegant and chic.

Anyway, being in this party was making me a bit moody. Sometimes a person wouldn't want to give me their invitation card and would be arrogant or rude, while sometimes a person would flirt with me in a vulgar manner, as if I was a cheap woman.

I stopped my thoughts when a new person arrived. A lady of olive skin, chocolate brown eyes and auburn hair that curled down her mid-back walked towards my desk. She wore a sleeveless, deep V neck, casual cocktail, pencil black dress. It made the woman look both sexy and elegant.

"Good evening. Welcome to Libra hotel. May you show me your invitation card, please," I said and smiled the best I could.

She blinked, her long eyelashes shining, when light bounced off it.

"Why do I need an invitation? Don't I look rich enough to be invited to this party...are you looking down on me just because of the rumors," she said in a soft but harsh manner.

I could immediately tell that this woman was a type to be provoked easily. Add to the fact, what rumours was she talking about?

I restrained a frown and answered, "No, of course not! I mean look at that spectacular dress and your beautiful skin care. You look rich and I know you obviously are. I must be blind to not tell," as I was showering her with praise, her expression softened. I continued, "I need an invitation because it is the rules. You can't put me at fault and no offense, I have no idea what rumors you are talking about."

She looked a bit relieved and smiled.

"I apologize for my words. I shouldn't be quick to be angered. I just thought that maybe you were...never mind. I apologize once again," she said, smiled and handed me her invitation card.

It did not prequel my interest of what rumors she was talking about at all, since I knew to MIND MY OWN BUSINESS.

"My name is Samantha Gordon and you?" she asked, not leaving immediately.

I answered her, not caring whether she knew about me or not.

"Sasha Amelia."

Her eyes widened but she soon smiled.

She didn't speak any further and was directed to the ballroom. I was supposed to do that, but took turns with the another employee because I can't leave the desk unoccupied, as I directed someone. We would take turns, one directs and one stayed at the desk. Great teamwork, right?

"Good-," I stopped my sentence mid-way when I saw it was Sebastian.

He smirked at me, "Speechless?"

I didn't bother to smile at him but gave him a deep frown.

He looked amused by it. "You shouldn't let your pretty face be damped by an ugly frown. Babies may cry if they saw a frown like that," he remarked.

He was both being a flirt and rude at the same time. Though, today I wouldn't let him get under my skin because that is exactly what he wants.

"Good evening. May you please show me your invitation card," I asked and smiled.

Sebastian was oddly silent for a moment but he seemed to snap out of it, and gave me his invitation card.

"OK let me-," before I could direct him, Vicky showed up out of nowhere.

She didn't have to wear a uniform like us. She wore a lot of make up that made her look beautiful but made her look too artificial and fake. Her hair was tied in a up-knot and looked like she was trying to look elegant but failed. After all her dress...was a sight that contradicted her elegant hairstyle. It was a bright, tight, red dress. It emphasised her large chest that was quite exposing, and her curves. The lower part of her dress flowed down and it had little dots of shining gold colour on it. The dress I had to admit was stunning. The dress made her look seductive. I think though, she was trying an elegant look.

'Where did she pop out from anyway?' I thought.

"Good evening. I am Vicky, basically the manager for making sure the employees are doing their job. I would love to direct you to the ballroom, if you could please follow me," she smiled.

Sebastian didn't move from his spot. He answered her with a smirk, "Thanks for the offer but Sasha will direct me. You can direct the next person that will come."

He turned towards me and I awkwardly smiled and walked with him to the ball room.

'I can't believe he put me in this position. Now I have to raise my guard up against Vicky!' I thought bitterly.

***

Vicky heart was pounding when she saw Sebastian's face. He was THE Sebastian Vettal a man from a famous family. It was stated that he was the heir to a world famous company owned by his father. It was called Venus, which was a marketing company.

Sasha, not bothering to see the news or gossip of famous people, didn't know. Even when she made the deal with Rihanna, all she knew was that Sebastian was from a famous family.

Vicky always hated Sasha the moment she started to work here. The manager stated that she must be treated with respect and with fair because she was recommended by the boss's friend.

When Vicky saw Sasha she felt inferior and insecure because Sasha was better than her, both inside and out. She made sure that no one would befriend her so that she can feel lonely, but that didn't bother Sasha at all. She tried to even bully Sasha in secret, but Sasha was not weak to let that happen to her.

When she heard Sasha had a child at a young age, she relentlessly mocked her but in truth she felt guilty whenever she saw Sasha with her child. Guilty, because she aborted her baby that was from the rich old man who helped her get the high position she was in, quickly. She didn't regret aborting the baby...but she could never forget and always wondered how she would be like with her child, when she saw Sasha and Mia.

She hated how independent and strong Sasha was and that she didn't have to dirty herself to achieve thing's, like her.

She envied her for that.

To make matters worse, when she found out that Sasha was a girl who tasted the life of being filthy rich she may have mocked her, but she envied her even more. Even when she was abandoned, she was still able to pick herself up and move on.

She hated Sasha was kind.

She hated Sasha was beautiful.

She hated Sasha was a mother.

She hated Sasha was rich.

She hated Sasha had handsome men flock to her, even when she wasn't trying.

She hated Sasha didn't have to dirty her body, like her.

She hated Sasha was a strong woman.

She hated Sasha grabbed the attention of men, like Sebastian, that she wanted.

She hated that she wished that SHE was Sasha.

She clenched her fist hard as she stared at Sasha. When she let go, fingernails marks were left, but she didn't care.

She was tired of having to see Sasha BE and HAVE everything she wanted.

She met the eyes of the employee who was working with Sasha. The employee nodded.

Vicky stiffly smiled and walked to the ballroom.

Deep in her heart she hoped she wouldn't come to regret this.
