The Blue Flame

"Luna!"

"I will continue from here on, milady."

"Thank you."

I returned to my ordinary appearance but teleported close to my children.

"Aisha, what happened?" I asked while hugging my daughter and listening to her.

"Mommy, we were just running around when That light surrounded Janus, suddenly and… and he was floating in the air now!"

Aisha told me with teary eyes. Frightened, she is, at the same time, worried about what would happen to her twin brother.

"Don't worry, honey. I will take care of it." I told my daughter, and she turned to me with a confused look in her eyes. I know it shocked her to see Janus lose consciousness, and now he was on fire.

On the other hand, maybe this is the best moment to reveal everything. It is time for my children to know who they are, who I am... and as of my son Janus. What is happening to my son?

"Aisha, honey?"

"Mommy, we should help him! We could, right?"

She looked at me with hope in her eyes. I smiled at my daughter and patted her back. "Yes, we can. Now, don't close your eyes. Watch very carefully. About what happens here, know that this is real, and this is one of many things that you need to learn from me."

"Mommy…"

"So, trust me, okay?"

I could see my daughter's confusion, but she nodded at me and stepped back. Now, I position and prepare to cast magic when Lionel emerges from Janus's body.

Aisha was frightened, but she stayed calm. I glanced at her to say it was all right. I turned to Lionel and asked him, "what happened, Lionel?"

Lionel, thrown into the lake, slowly emerged and stood above the water. He shakes off his body to squeeze out the water from his fur.

"Priestess, the master rejects me because of that blue light."

"This is… it was the Blue Flame, Lionel." I corrected it. My heart filled with wariness. Why? When did Aelius plant his son's body with a spirit fragment from his familiar? He was not present by my side when I gave birth to the twin. I ponder about it.

"Lionel, go transform with your original form," I ordered. Lionel bowed and floated in the air.

His tiny wings spread wide to his sides. He closes his eyes and concentrates slowly. Below him in the water, fire lit up and traveled, making a circle until it created a magic circle. Lionel's wings then grow bigger twenty times than before.

Below him are his magic circles that engraved the symbols of the Sun. Ancient letters were inscribed on the sides of the circle, which only the Celestial Universe beings could read.

"Spirit of Fire. Lionel is the name. I am Lord of the Sun. Come forth and be one."

With his recital, his magic circle blazing with fire. Lionel landed in the middle of this circle, and gradually, his body turned into a giant winged beast lion. He roars louder and flaps his wings. I quickly put up a shield so Aisha to not flutter from the strong winds created by Lionel's wings.

And thanks to the help of the magic barrier, no other people could hear him roaring. One of the reasons I put up the magical barrier is to conceal any noises and energy that will accidentally slip away either by my children, myself, or our familiar's enthusiasm.

"Woo-hoo! So great to get back into my actual body!"

Lionel flew above us, making a circle before landing in front of Janus. He looked at me and said, "I'm ready, Priestess Zelenia..." Lionel stares past me, and his face blushes. "Oh, oh, please forgive my rudeness. Greetings, Princess Aisha." Lionel bent one of his feet to kneel.

I look at my daughter and smile. "Meet Lionel. He is your brothers' familiar."

"Familiar? What was that mean, mommy?

"Yes. Familiars are from the world of Spirits. It is a dimension where they are born, trained, and become stronger over the years, and even a thousand years pass." I explained. I know that my daughter is still confused now, but she will soon understand her and Janus.

"Then? Do I have one too?"

There is excitement in Aisha's eyes while saying this. She's showing enthusiasm which is a good sign.

"Of course, honey, you have your own familiar, and her name is Sora. You should call her out."

"Oh, can I?"

I could see Aisha was more eager now from the fear she felt a while back. She breathed in, glancing at me. I nodded and smiled to encourage her…

"Sora!" Aisha called out.

Her eyes widened when she felt a force and light surrounded her when someone came out behind her. She looks up and meets her familiar for the first time. I know it shocked her to see a floating peacock before her.

"Greetings, Princess Aisha."

"Um… hello, Sora."

My daughter glanced at me with happiness on her face. I know that meeting her familiar has brought joy to her.

"How about Janus, Mommy?"

"We have to conceal the blue flame, and I will cast a spell on him to seal it off," I explained.

"But what is it, mommy?

Aisha is asking this question which I cannot answer yet. How to reveal it to her? That this blue flame is from her father's familiar, named Blaise.

"Ah, Priestess, we have to shut in this dragon for me to get back inside my master. I never noticed this dragon was living inside with me!" Lionel complains.

It is truly a surprise, even to me. For ten years, I never felt Blaise's presence inside my son. How did it happen? How did Aelius manage to slip his familiar inside our son's body?

"All right, then. Let us do this now, Luna."

I called out, and Luna appeared behind me. She bowed at Aisha. My daughter's eyes widened and gleamed.

"Mommy, she's pretty like you!"

I giggled when Luna's face turned red. I know she is not used to praising. But she resembles me, so then, to those who didn't know I am a Priestess back in the Celestial Universe, we are always mistaken as sisters.

"Princess, don't be lured by her beauty. She was moody, and unlike the Priestess, she's not nice."

"Lionel, what are you saying to the Princess!?"

"See? She is shouting at me now."

"Would you settle down in front of the Priestess and the princess?"

I beam, watching these Familiars teasing each other again like a usual scene back in my Sanctuary. I shook my head to hold my head high. So many memories are coming back, and at this moment, we have to help my son. We must perform the ritual to seal the fragmented spirit of Blaise.

"All right. Listen up, everyone. Luna and I will seal off the blue flame. Let us make it quick before the flame devours all of Janus's energy, and it will grow bigger."

I announced as I stepped forward closer to my son. I raised my arms above my head and began chanting the passage to seal off any object.

"Through heavens, that shines above the lands… hear thee, calling upon." I open another kind of magic circle where Janus is floating in the middle.

"Spirit of the Mirror, come forth!"

A five-foot mirror in an oval shape appears, now gradually sucking in the blue flame from Janus's body. When it is done, the mirror shrinks to its size, and it enters Janus' body.

The blue flame is sealed off for the time being, but I don't know if I can conceal it forever….
