---Lara pov---

I was now trying to stay afloat in the water while a storm was raging. The waves mushed me onto one of the spires. I didn't think twice and used my climbing ax and stuck it into the rock so I would not be pushed anymore from the raging waves.

I started to climb up the spire and looked towards the trailer that Jonah was in right now. I was hoping that he would swim out of his van. But I only saw it hit the same spire I am climbing on right now. All of a sudden, the weather suddenly cleared up like it was never there before.

I looked down and saw that the trailer was sinking. I dived down the water to save Jonah. When I was underwater, I took off my life jacket and dived deeper underwater. I saw the trailer and went towards the door. I then used my climbing ax as a crowbar and forced the door open.

When I successfully pried open the door. I was going to swim inside the trailer, but I am running out of oxygen, so I surfaced up that water and coughed out water in my mouth. All of a sudden, something softly hit my back. I turned around and saw Jonah's album. There I saw the picture of Joseph and Jonah when they were kids. Jonah is running around while carrying Joseph on his back.

My attention was drawn towards Joseph, who has a bright smile on his face while looking towards Jonah. When I saw that dazzling smile, I know I need to save Jonah so that I would not lose that smile from Joseph. I then quickly took a deep breath in and dove back in towards the trailer to get Jonah.

I reached the trailer and quickly swam in and saw Jonah, who was just floating underwater. I didn't think twice and grabbed him, and promptly swam up towards the surface. When we resurfaced again, I could hear him coughing out loud.

Lara: "you are alive, you beautiful bastard." I said while Jonah was coughing out water from his mouth.

Jonah: "Lara, why did you go after me. I am cursed, I will endanger everyone if I am alive." he said while looking worriedly at me. I wanted to hit his head to get some sense back into his head when suddenly a new current dragged us towards a cliff edge.

I grabbed Jonah's arm and stuck my climbing ax to a rock that is above the water. We then climbed up and reached the top of the stone.

???: "I can't believe that you are still alive after all that. Lara Croft," when I looked at the person who was talking to us, we saw the person who got me here. Currently, he is pointing a gun at us. "It doesn't change things, can you hand me the artifact in your possession right now."

Lara: "Who are you, and how did you know me," I said while staying vigilant against the tour guide.

Tour Guide: "Oh, how rude of me to not introduce myself. I am Ray Harper, one of the four guardians that will bring calamity to the world," when he told us who he is, his eyes started to glow bright blue, and water began to surround him. "And as to how I know your name. I don't know anything about you, but I know many things about your Father Richard Croft."

Ray: "So I will ask again, will you give me the artifact you have right now," he said while dismissing all the water that was floating around him. When I saw that he could control the water, it made sense why the barren desert suddenly had a massive storm.

Jonah, next to me, was about to grab a small box out of his pocket. But I grabbed his arm to stop him from doing so. I then sternly looked at him and asked him a question.

Lara: "are you part of the Solarii?" I said while looking at him with vigilance.

Ray: "Yes, and no, we have been trying to manipulate people who called themself Salarii to revive queen Himiko instead of destroying her body," he said with a mocking smile on his face. "If Solarii had some brains, they would have gone towards Himiko's ritual chamber and destroyed her body, but we have manipulated the man named… oh, I forgot his name."

Lara: "Mathias?" I said with lingering fear to the man in front of me; if what he said is true, then he is trying to revive queen Himiko.

Rey: "Yes, Yes, that's the name he was a good puppet while it lasted." he said with a sad smile on his face. "I am part of a bigger secret organization called Dragon Syndicate."

Lara: "why do you need these artifacts that my friends have." The man looked at us for a minute thinking to himself and decided to answer my question.

Rey: "You won't live long enough to tell anyone. I will tell you why we need them." he said with a creepy smile on his face. " It's to revive queen Himiko." When I heard his words, my body shook in fear as I saw his smiling face.

Lara: "why would you bring someone dangerous back to the living," I said while tightening my grip on my ax ready to attack him.

Rey: "Miss Croft, have you ever heard of the Chaos Theory?"

Lara: "yes, Chaos theory is an interdisciplinary theory stating that, within the apparent randomness of complex, chaotic systems, there are underlying patterns, interconnectedness, constant feedback loops, repetition, self-similarity, fractals, and self-organization. In short, there is always an order in chaos." when I said my words. I just realized what their organization is trying to do.

Rey saw my realization and just laughed at me maniacally while walking towards me with his gun still pointed at my head.

Rey: "bravo, you just answer your question. Yes, we are setting up a test to see if we could find order to her power. Every power must be bawn by physical law." he said while pressing his gun at my head.

Lara: "this will kill millions of people if she was ever able to roam free." I said while glaring at him.

Rey: "it is a necessary sacrifice for the future of humanity," he said while looking at me with a crazed smile. "So what is going to be Miss Croft either you die now, and I take the artifact from you dead hands or die later."

I looked at him silently, trying to find any way to get his gun away from me, but suddenly Jonah was about to tackle Rey. But he dodges the tackle and then points the gun at Jonah. I then used my climbing ax and hit his hands that had the weapon.

Rey: "AAAHHH!!! YOU BITCH!!" he yelled in pain. He dropped the gun on his hands. I was going to pull out my ax from his hands but he suddenly. Lifted his other arm and gathered a ball of water floating above his hands. He then threw it toward me and Jonah's direction.

When the ball of water hit us, it suddenly expanded and covered our entire body with water. I looked at Jonah, who was struggling to breathe inside this ball of water. I wanted to swim out of this giant ball of water. But my body would not move.

Rey: "Your nothing but a small cub that needed to be killed before you grow any stronger." he said menacingly. I looked at him as everything was slowly turning black. I was going to give up when suddenly we heard a gunshot.

Rey was shot on the shoulder, which breaks his control on his ball of water. I coughed out water in my lungs while I looked around for anything to use against him. I then saw the gun he was about to use to kill me. I then crawled towards it while the man that was shot was in pain, trying to find who shot him.

Rey: "FUCK, FUCK, FUCK.. twice, I have to get hurt. I thought this would be an easy job," he said while looking around, but suddenly he heard me cocked his gun and pointing it at him. He slowly turned towards me in fear. I watched him with a smug smile on my face.

Lara: "see you in hell…" I said and fired the gun on hand repeatedly at him. I kept firing the gun until it was empty. I looked at him and saw him backing away near the edge and then falling off the rock. I then got up and walked towards the side and saw his corpse floating away and falling off the cliff. When I saw that he was dead, I then laid back down on the ground.

Jonah ran towards me and gave me a and made me stand up and gave me a big hug lifting me with his strength.

Jonah: "Lara, thank god you're okay." he said while hugging me. While he was hugging me, I just remembered that someone saved us. I looked around and didn't find anyone at all.

Lara: "Jonah, did you see the person who saved us." I said while looking worriedly at him.

Jonah: "Unfortunately, I didn't, Lara. if I found out the person who saved us, I would kiss him for saving us..."
