Picking up Groceries, and Making Weapons of Mass Destruction (maybe?)

"WHAT?! WHY WASN'T I INFORMED OF THIS?!" A loud shout came from the Xiao Family House.

"We've recently decided to change the coming of the age cermony from once every three years to once every year..." The Family Second Elder and the Head Elder decided.

"This was decided upon the elder council, according to the family regulations the Patriarch is not required to agree. Of course, it does not matter either way." The Head Elder explained.

"Exactly, all the elders are in agreement." "The date is six months from now." The muttered.

Crrkk!

Xiao Zhan crushed the tea cup that he held into pieces in his anger. "Are completely oblivious to my prescence in this house?" He said calmly, controlling his anger.

'If Yan-Er can reach the seventh stage, he will be able to take part in the main family business and further expand his horizons... And in the future, bring honor to the family...' He thought as calmed down.

The Second Family Elder chuckled. "Haha, with our 'young master' in his current state, I doubt he'd be able to pass the cermony..." He mused himself.

"If he cannot pass, he must be sent away to the Secondary Family Businesses. Those are the rules, not even the Patriarch's children are exempt!" The Head Elder stated loudly.

Xiao Zhan frowned. 'Yan-Er...' He thought in concern. Though, he suddenly thought about his adopted 'son', Mark.

"Will Mark be allowed to join the cermony now?..." He asked in curiousness. The elders widened their eyes in fear at the topic.

"NO!" "ABSOLUTELY NOT!" "HE IS A MONSTER, HE WILL KILL ALL THE CONTESTENTS!" They denied immediately. Xiao Zhan was relieved that Mark wasn't accepted today. They all knew what unknown powers that Mark had. They didn't want to confirm the public that a Second Ranker ACTUALLY beat almost of half of the Xiao Sect as that would tarnish their honor. They all sighed.

"He will probably be a chef in cermony... Not a fighter, as he will be more 'suited' on becoming something else than a fighter..." The Second Elder Head replied. Xiao Zhan and The Head Elder nodded sagely in agreement. They agreed that Mark had the most delicious food that had ate in ages.

"Besides, that boy comes up with new wonderful ideas for very delicious food. He is almost as if a Heaven-sent genius! Why doesn't he accept the head chef role of the Xiao Family, anyway? Although we bargained at him with immense wealth, we only convinced (forced) to the point he only will cook once a week. The boy demanded to this, or he will not cook anymore..." The Second Elder Head complained. The boy was stuborn as he didn't accept their wealth. The boy had the best food in the Xiao Sect! No, the whole Dou-Qi Continent entirely!

"Perhaps he is humble and wants to have a quiet life. He has no lust for becoming strong, but pursues with no choice as he knows that the world is ruled by purely by strength... He does not want to become famous, but rather unnoticed. Let us respect his wishes, even though his magnificent skills is worth a fortune..." The Head Elder admitted with a sigh. They had to keep their pride as Elders of course, not acting like impatient children for helpful skills...

"I agree... Though, it's doesn't help the fact his cooking, knowledge, and helpfulness to the Sect is very worthful as it is priceless... He is truly a godsend." Xiao Zhan admitted as he thought the boy's skills were very helpful. He was very forgiving and kind, as he helped each and very member of Xiao Sect to forgive him of his actions, and everyone did not fear him (well, they did secretly, but it didn't matter) and also liked him, although his personality was a bit strange. He was almost like a saint because of this.

The boy's vast massaging skills made his old body feel like it was his newer, youthful and free body again! The Elders completely agreed with him as they were convinced that Mark had heavenly (magic) hands! He did not have backpains when he slept from the cursed paperwork anymore!

Add to that, he 'accidently' burned his paperwork as knew the horrors of paperwork as he shared the same pain! To give him an good excuse! When he would have time, he would even help with his paperwork more easier, and then later he introduced him the inventions of 'pencils', 'pens', and 'his super secret calming working time tea' that would magically help him go through his paperwork easily! No one would've thought of this!

He once remembered that didn't take it anymore from the boy's kindness that filled him with gratitude, guilt, and thankfulness that the boy had done, and he shamefully cried in front of him. Like a child!

The boy did not became shocked as Xiao Zhan, the Patriarch of the Xiao Sect, cried in front of him (but he did deadpan), but he also said words of wisdom, as he there was no shame of showing his inner childishness. As he quoted: "There's no point in being grown up if you can't act a little childish sometimes. As the Fourth Doctor quoted."

"Who is this... Fourth Doctor?" He remembered that he asked that to Mark.

"The Doctor." He remembered what the boy answered.

"Doctor... Who?..." He remembered himself ask.

"Exactly." The boy smirked as he answered as he remembered from the memory. He remembered that he was confused on what it meant. Anyway, he took his words of wisdom to his heart, but did not show it to others.

The boy was also smart, wise, knowledgable, skilled, and very powerful. He was kind, and forgiving...

He mentally wept in thankfulness, as Mark was a godsend, a saint (almost), genius, inventor, master chef, and a very good caretaker. Though, the boy knew this fact and complained that he became a 'househusband' or a 'Emiyaa Sheero(?)' and sulked his life.

The Patriarch secretly was amused by the fact, that Mark complained and sulked in depression as his life was simply ridiculessly enough to be weirdly funny. What did the boy said earlier?... That he, Xiao Zhan, was a 'troll'?

The 'troll' that the boy explained, was a term for people that took entertainment from general, harmless, messing around and light tormention from a person's life to be funny enough. He realised that were the same actions as he messed around with his brothers, sharing jokes and 'harmless' insults to each other.

The boy was weird enough to call things in unknown terms. And yes, he called himself a 'troll'.

Though, back into the conversation, he immediately was concerned for his son, while the Elders probably tried to resist the urge to salivate at Mark's cooking...

'Aye, the boy's food was heavenly.' He agreed without no doubt.

He wondered what other surprises that Mark would also show from his cooking...

...

"Aaatchhhoo!" I suddenly sneezed. I was in my bed while Em took care of my injuries from the battle and exhaustation, as my Dou-Qi was depleted as my body was tired. Though, I wasn't injured in a state that I couldn't move. Em just insisted me to stay in bed.

'The Elders are probably salivating from my cooking...' I thought with a deadpan. Em slithered to my side in concern.

"Master! Are you alright? You did not get a cold from your exhaustion, right?..." Em hissed as her red eyes looked at mine with concern. I sighed as I smiled.

"I'm fine, Em. I'll be alright in a few minutes. Probably..." I hissed in Parseltongue in calming Em. Em hissed as she sighed.

"You better, Master... I hope you get well soon. I'll 'chill' in the warm bed, Master!" She hissed as she slithered away to her heated bed. I waited as she was out of sight. I checked again by sensing the Dou-Qi around me and I knew she was fast asleep.

I silently moved away from my bed and left the room. I went to my secret workshop to research my abilities. Yan better had brought me a Monster Core, or else!

#Flashback Starts#

"You're... so despicable. You're so powerful, skilled, and annoying enough that I can't do anything but hate you...!" Yan muttered out as he groaned in pain at the ground.

"How'd you made a gun in the first place, anyways? I know that guns are really hard to make, as they're complicated with tiny stuff like springs and hammers!..." He wondered/asked. I 'hmm'-ed as I laid down, face-flat on the ground.

"Since my experiences on controlling and mastering energy sources, I was adaptable enough to have full, accurate control over my Dou-Qi. It took me several tries to make the components I needed, but it worked nonetheless." I replied as I held the Desert Eagle.

"Though, the part about this, is that I somehow forgot to make gunpowder, or something replacable I knew how to make. Thus, I improvised." I said, gaining both the attention of Xiao Yan and Yao Lao who woke up.

"I modified this to use Dou-Qi as fuel for ammunition. I shot you with Dou-Qi compressed bullets, and that's how I hit Yao Lao, a spirit that cannot be touched." I explained. Lao looked at me in awe. Yan looked at me with shining eyes.

"You can shoot Dou-Qi bullets out of this?!" Yan took away the Desert Eagle from my prying hands. He tried to shoot bullets, but none came out as he was confused. He tried to overflood with Dou-Qi to gun, but when he fired, the barrel exploded as the metal was bent and destroyed.

He sheeplessly rubbed his head as he aplogised that he destroyed the gun by accident. I sighed.

"That's a prototype. I have another one... It only works on Dou-Qi users that have advanced mastery over their Dou-Qi, like me. Later I'll make something that'll be easier to construct bullets..." I calmly explained as Yan held the leftover gun in awe.

"But, this is soooo cool... You said you'll make something for me? Really?!" He said in awe as I was going to make him his custom Dou-Qi guns for him.

"Why not? However, I can't. My resources and knowledge are limited to this world as I don't know the perfect material that can withstand a Dou Huang's (Dou Emperor) Dou-Qi..." I explained.

"I might know a lot of perfect materials that could withstand that amount of Dou-Qi... We could work together, and find the perfect material. My knowledge of the Dou-Qi Continent is vast, as I know some useful things." Lao added.

"Alright, we'll establish like this: Lao's the Professor of the Dou-Qi Continent, Yan's the Student of said Professor, and I'll be the Researcher." I stated, as they all nodded in agreement.

"Though, you said in the past that you wanted a Monster Core. I'll buy my ingredients for my ranking up, and I'll buy the Monster Core that you wanted. Let's go!" Yan impatiently left the area, and they didn't realised I was down here.

"Wait! I'm still exhausted, you idiots!" I shouted back.

#Flashback Ends#

I floated in air while I mediated as I held multiple heavy objects such as rocks, metals, and furniture, with my mind.

I could also give and store my own Dou-Qi to objects that are non-living, such as rocks and metals, since they did not have any Dou-Qi to begin with, and by controlling my own Dou-Qi inside the rocks and metals, I can levitate them throughly.

Furniture that was made from wood, were dead organic materials had once had Dou-Qi. There were little faint traces of Dou-Qi to control and levitate, but they were harder to lift. I bypassed this by giving my own Dou-Qi to make it easier.

Soon, I let them go, as they fell down to the ground from my absence of my ability. Combining the time that I used in the battle and in here, I made an estimated guess that I could use my full powers for about 10 minutes.

I wiped the sweat on my head as I was exhausted.

Pprrink!

A lightbulb was hanging from the wiring as I saw the metal nail holding the lightbulb was missing. I sighed. It was time to make a redesign to the workshop.

I picked up the metal nail from the ground and went to obtain my ladder. When I eventually got the ladder, I placed it down below where the lightbulb was hanging from the wiring. I climbed up to a suitable height that I could re-adjust the metal nail to my stone ceiling.

I concentrated and imagined the Dou-Qi that I stored inside the metal. The matter inside the metal is made up from atoms and molecules, and energy causes them to be always in motion. I imagined to use the Dou-Qi energy to move and make the atoms and molecules to colide each other, in order to create heat.

So, I superheated the particles inside the metal heat it to red-hot, meaning that the metal was almost in its melting point. As for why my fingers did not get burnt in the process, I just hardened the Dou-Qi on my fingers to make a protective barrier of Dou-Qi so I wouldn't touch the hot metal from burning my fingers.

I also did this process, but I covered my whole entire body instead, when I used sith lightning, to protect myself as I wouldn't be vaporised from it. As for how I successfully controlled my own red lightning, I directed by mixing some of my own red Dou-Qi inside, and thus I controlled the lightning and colored it red.

I used it to power my makeshift batteries with pure lightning. And use my heating powers to make the needed components for my battery.

Back to the metal nail, I bended the red-hot nail into a metal ring while I held the cable with my other hand so it wouldn't be burned in the process. To cool it down, I quickly transfered the heat energy to my own Dou-Qi and heat up the stone ceiling with my other hand. I grit my teeth from the burning pain I felt from my own Dou-Qi. The cable harmlessly sat on the cooled metal ring.

Problem solved. There were scorch marks on the stone ceiling as a result. I looked at my own upper body and saw that I had minor burn marks from the heat transfer. I grit my teeth as the pain stinged. Though, I've had worse...

I usually just let the metal cool down and wait, but this was an exception...

Speaking of rings, where was my palladium ring?

...

Xiao Yan walked into the marketplaces with Xun-Er. He held a thoughtful expression on his face.

'Tee-hee! Xiao Yan Ge-Ge is taking me shopping, I'm so happy!' Xun-Er thought as she giggled. It felt like a date to her.

'But he seems so absorbed in his own world... I changed my clothes especially for this occasion but he didn't even notice...' She thought disapointed, as she wore more casual clothes.

"Jeez... why does it have to be difficult?..." He muttered. He later remembered that Monster Cores were expensive, and that he did not have the money to purchase those items.

Xun-Er suddenly looked back. She 'hmm'-ed.

"Xiao Yan Ge-Ge, there are three people following us..." She whispered to Yan.

"Huh? Really?" He replied, as he activated Sixth Sense with his Dou-Qi.

'Should be just bodyguards here to protect us. She's only Ninth Rank, but she can easily detect three well hidden guards... Xun-Er really is special.' He thought, as he glanced at Xun-Er.

"Well, it doesn't look like they have any ill intent, so let's go!" She cheered.

"Right..." He replied. He then realised he had to ask Xun-Er about 'That'.

"Oh, yeah... right... Xun-Er... Well... I uh..." He spluttered as he couldn't ask what he wanted.

"Hmm?" She said.

He scratched the back of his head as he blushed from embarisment and how beautiful she was. "Well you know, 'That' thing I talked about yesterday..." He asked. Xun-Er realised as she blinked.

"Oh that, I've got it right here! There's one thousand gold coins in this card, is that enough?" She pulled out a black silver card and gave it Yan. He was shocked how much money she owned.

"One thousand... You're so rich..." He said, his jaw dropping from the amount of money she had.

"Well, if that's not enough..." She held a black gold card in front of her. Yan immediately denied as he wouldn't just take advantage over her. He would pay her back later.

"More than enough! Thanks so much!" He thanked Xun-Er, who smiled in kindness.

"Okay then, go buy what you need!" She said cheerfully. Yan went confused as how kind she was, and the lack of questions she held.

"Xun-Er... You're not going to ask why I need so much money?..." He asked in confusion. Normally when people ask for money, they ask questions regarding what were you going to use it for...

"If you wanted to tell me, you would've told me eventually. If you didn't ask, then I won't ask!" She smiled gently.

"Xun-Er... Thank you." Yan was touched at Xun-Er's everlasting kindness she had gave him, even those three years he failed as himself.

"I'll pay you back one day, I'll promise!" He said as ran to a merchant's store that held an ingredient that he found in the list that his master showed.

Xun-Er giggled. "Idiot... I don't need your money, as I will always help you... Xiao Yan Ge-Ge..." She smiled gentlely.

"You kidding me? That's way too expensive! For someone handsome as me, make it a discount!" He demanded, causing the merchant to look at Yan in weirdness. Xun-Er giggled as she saw that Yan has restored his earlier confidence after 3 years.

...

Dozens of minutes later, Yan held a bag of ingredients that he bought from the list.

"The final thing that we need is the core, and the other one that Mark wanted... Which is harder to find as usual..." He counted his fingers as the Monster Cores were the last things on his shopping list.

"Don't worry, we'll find it eventually." Xun-Er said, confident that a Monster Core had to be somewhere...

"Oh! I'll check over there!" He ran, leaving Xun-Er alone again.

She pouted/frowned. "Jeez, left me hanging again!" She was frustrated how dense Yan was. Seriously, Xiao Yan wouldn't be THAT dense, as he was a genius at first... Would he?...

Something caught in her eye as she noticed a beautiful jade bracelet that glimmered from the sunlight. She took a closer look as she liked the jade bracelet, as that would hopefully caught Xiao Yan's eye.

"Hi miss, would you like one? It's only five silver!" The old merchant called out.

"Okay!" She said as she reached in her pockets. She then realised her money was missing, after she gave to Yan...

"Ahh, Oops! Sorry, I forgot to bring my money!" She apologied to the merchant, how crossed her arms in displeasure. Xun-Er looked at Yan back.

"What? Are you crazy? That's too expensive! No way!" Yan exclaimed to the merchant as he tried to (bullshit) his way into making the cost cheaper. Xun-Er frowned and crossed her arms as Yan totally thought she had ignored her.

'Xiao Yan Ge-Ge, you idiot... You take me for shopping together and then ignore me?... Hmph!' She thought as she was convinced that Xiao Yan was a dense idiot.

"Bloody stingy merchant! Why are there no cores? Is my luck that bad?" Yan FINALLY asked to her. He didn't even noticed how she was!

"Quite possibly!" She sarcastically commented, as she unconscioully developed her own sarcasm due to her time with Mark's sarcastic influence.

"Ha? What's wrong, did something happen?" A tick formed on Xun-Er's temples as she was mad that Xiao Yan WAS THAT DENSE and failed to notice her feelings and she silently growled in irritation.

"Nothing! I'm going this way, do whatever you want!" She ran off, mad at how stupid Xiao Yan was. It left Yan all alone to be confused why she was mad.

"Did I do something wrong?... I don't think so... I'll never understand girls..." He sighed and wondered what was going on with Xun-Er.

...

Xun-Er pouted, huffed, frowned, and glowered her face on anger and disapointment how she viewed Yan. Xiao Yan Ge-Ge was completely hopeless and so dense!

She later stopped on her steps as she suddenly remembered what Mark told her.

'He isn't dense... But, he loses track of everything going on with him. He does that when he wants something important, just like everyone else...' Her second best friend explained to her. Maybe she was misunderstanding all of this...

'The cores must have been really important... I guess it was a little petty of me to get angry...' She thought as she thought that Yan wasn't an idiot. Mark would've told her this if he heard her thoughts...

'Everyone makes mistakes. You just have to go over and learn from them.' She even imaged Mark doing his 'weird sagely' voice in attempt to humor her.

She was confused by every joke that he made, but she laughed as he would groan miserably in a humorus way that made her find it humorous.

She found every reaction of Mark's misery to be entertaining and amusing, for some unknown reason...

'I guess I'll just look for the core then.' She smiled, as there was a chance that Yan wasn't exactly dense...

"SCREW OFF!" She flinched out of her thoughts as he saw a beaten man fall before her. She later scowled as she knew who she saw.

"How dare you get in the young master's way! Go die in a hole!" "Get the hell out of the way!" The multiple guards shouted as they backed off the civilians, who moved away in fear.

It was the Wu Dan Town's Jia-Lie Family, Jia-Lie Ao, as he stared arrogantly at civilians as looked smug, as if he looked at civilians like trash.

He chuckled arrogantly. "My, my. I'm sure SORRY about that, it seems my underlings went a little... Overboard..." The downed man flinched in fear.

"No... Please! Young Master Jia-Lie Ao, have mercy..." The downed man begged for his life as he looked at the young noble with one good eye.

Xun-Er simply stared as she did not want any part of the young noble. She left as the young noble noticed her.

He stood in front of her to corner her. "Well hello there, Miss Xun-Er, It's been a while isn't it?" He arrogantly spoke as his eyes filled with lusting intent.

She glared at the young noble in front of her in controlled hate. Her face darkened. "What do you want?" She spoke with obvious venom in her voice.

"We haven't seen each other in a while, there's no need to be so cold." He spoke as if 'her Xun-Er' were just fiancees. She increased her cold glare.

"Some people, shouldn't be seen at all." She held her icy cold glare at the young noble in hate. She kept her hate in check, as she didn't want to cause any trouble...

The young noble 'heh'-ed. He held out a luxury bracelet in front of her.

"Just a small gift, please accept it. Now this a wood core bracelet, worth two thousand gold!" He introduced it.

"Crafted with the best quality wood element monster core, the only one to be found in town. I bought it espically for you!" He showed off his wealth.

'Wood element monster core?' She thought.

"Please accept this, Miss Xun-Er, or I might end up looking like an idiot in front of my underlings... That'll be so embarassing." He spoke with confidence and hidden smugness.

'I don't want to accept... But Xiao Yan Ge-Ge or maybe Mark really needs that core...' She thought, remembering that Mark also wanted the core. Mark was the second closest friend that she met, as he was kind, smart, and helpful when he knew that she had a hidden crush on Yan, and decided to support her. He was like a big brotherly figure, that would support and help his younger siblings make their own choices with confidence.

"This also helps to restore another's Dou-Qi, but it can make you even more powerful!" He added. She decided to swallow her pride and hate.

'Oh well, I'll just take the core for Xiao Yan Ge-Ge or Mark and maybe throw away the bracelet later...' She thought, as she closed her eyes.

"Alright then, give it here." She demanded with no kindness. She lent her hand.

"Oh that's wonderful!" He spoke with glee.

"What's wonderful about that? Do you want a bracelet that bad?" Suddenly, Xiao Yan's hand grabbed Xun-Er's as he held them protectively.

"Xiao Yan Ge-Ge!" She said in surprise.

"Don't you know what kind of trash he is?" He said, as he smirked at Xun-Er, making her slightly blush.

"Tch! Ah! So it's Xiao Yan..." The noble's face formed into a frown and distaste.

Yan glared at Jia-Lie Ao in response. He still held a protective state at Xun-Er. "Take your stuff and stay away from Xun-Er!" He stated with protectiveness.

The noble's face formed into a calm facade. "Both of our families are elites in the city, it is normal to present gifts to each other, right? And if you reject, it might ruin the friendship between our families!" He explained.

'If that does, you got other thing coming...' He thought in amusement as he remembered Mark's rage and power. The Xiao Family would win by default in a battle if they faced him.

...

"How bold of you to assume I would help the Xiao Sect." I replied with a deadpan to no one. I continued on constructing the Arc Reactor.

...

Suddenly, Xiao Yan didn't feel all that confident anymore when he said that... He slid over that thought and snapped back into reality.

"Trash like you shouldn't be talking with our young master, you're obviously jealous!" "Damn right!" Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum spoke.

He ignored them. "Young master Jia-Lie Ao, everyone knows what your little mind is speaking!" He smirked.

"I was trying to be nice, and make Miss Xun-Er prettier!" The young noble said.

"Hmph, these things are none of your business! If you wanted a bracelet... I have one for you." He showed the Jade Bracelet that Xun-Er eyed on.

'Isn't... Isn't that the one I noticed before?..." She held her hands to her mouth as she was surprised that Xiao Yan really did notice and that Mark was right.

"Take it!" Yan said as he smiled.

"HAHAHAHAHA! With that piece of trash?! How much did that one cost? The dust in this bracelet is more expensive than yours!" He laughed as he gestured at his bracelet.

"Hmph, come back and flirt later when you have enough money!" The noble taunted. But the taunt did jack shit to Yan!

"Hey, do you want it or not, my arms are getting pretty tired!" Yan ignored him and casually spoke to Xun-Er.

"Of course I want it!" She immediately took the Jade Bracelet from Yan with glee. The noble's jaw dropped from shock and disbelief.

"You... Chose... The... Trash!..." His mouth was shocked also. He looked a fish gulping for air.

"What did say before, about money and girls? Huh?" He channeled his inner-trollness and roasted the noble instantly.

"Thank you Xiao Yan Ge-Ge!" Xun-Er smiled brightly. Yan rubbed her head in a caring manner.

"Don't worry about it, silly girl!" He replied back. The noble's face twitched heavily in anger as he didn't even try to conceal it.

"I didn't know Xiao Yan Ge-Ge noticed Xun-Er that much..." She said as her thoughts were confirmed. Xiao Yan did care about her, even when she didn't see it.

The noble's face darkened as his fist clenched in anger. "He.. Hehe! I didn't know Miss Xun-Er's taste was so special!" He seethed.

"Jia-Lie Ao, Xun-Er can't be persuaded by money, give up before your heart shatters!" Yan advised.

"Really?... Thanks for the ADVICE." He grinned grimmly as he crushed the bracelet in anger.

"Young master Jia-Lie Ao, you're not going?" Yan asked troll-y.

"Hmph... You piece of filthy shit, today I'll show you who's boss!..." The noble channeled his Dou-Qi in anger to his fists in smashing.

Yan 'hmph'-ed. He whistled to call the guards.

"Move, Move!" "Who dares causes trouble inside the Xiao Family Territory!" A bunch of guards of the Xiao Sect came out from the crowd.

It was the Xiao Territories and the Head of Security, Bain. He was one of the loyal members in the Xiao Sect to even Xiao Yan.

"Oh! Young master Xiao Yan and Miss Xun-Er!" Bain greeted them.

"Hello Bain!" Yan greeted casually.

Bain respectfully greets them. "Bain greets Young Master Xiao Yan and Miss Xun-Er." The noble scowled harder.

"Even the guards are here? Want to win in numbers? Can you only rely on your family?" He spat back with distaste. Bain scowled at the noble with zero-fucks given.

"Young Master Jia-Lie Ao, This is not in the Jia-Lie Family's territory! If you cause anymore trouble, don't blame me for the consequences!" Bain warned seriously.

"Young Master Jia-Lie Ao, right now you must want to say: 'If I was a real man, then we will have a fair one-on-one duel', right?" Yan asked. The noble smirked.

"That's right! You must be scared!" "Dude, this year you're 21, and how old am I? 15! You want a duel with a kid? Aren't you at least a little shameful at what you're asking?" He stated loudly. The crowd laughed at the embarrassed noble.

"In a year, you'll be entering the coming of the age cermony, right?! Trash like you, will be someplace far away after the cermony, and you won't even have the guts to come back to Wu Dan city, so sad." He gritted his teeth and a heavy vein popped on his temples. Yan mostly ignored the comment. The noble grit his teeth.

"Hmph!... I am not afraid of trash like you! Touch me if you dare, it will be a declaration of war with the Jia-Lie Family!" He stated loudly.

'We have a small 'dragon' that could kick your asses...' The Xiao Sect guards and Bain thought as they had similar topics.

...

"Seriously, why does everybody say that I'm powerful?! I'm literally Second Ranked, people!" I shouted, as a random bolt of lightning came from the almost finished Arc Reactor's battery and unfortunetly contacted my fingers.

Sprrkk!!!

"OW!"

...

"That's right, I heard your engagement with Miss Na-Lan was forcibly cancelled? She was wise to not even marry trash like you!" The noble insulted as he smirked.

"Jia-Lie Ao! Take back what you just said!" Xun-Er flared her Dou-Qi in anger. Yan stopped her.

"Don't worry, Xun-Er! I can take care of this! Leave it to me!" Yan stated.

"Xiao Yan, hiding behind a woman? You have fallen to lower than trash!" He grinned darkly, as Bain grit his teeth in anger.

Yan suddenly grinned mischievously and patted Bain's shoulders to get his attention.

"Bain look! The person that young master just hit, wasn't he one of the Xiao Family's guard?" Yan pointed at the downed man. He winked at Bain who understood his plans.

"What?" The noble said in disbelief.

"Hey Smithy, are you alright?" Bain was suddenly at the downed man's side.

"Er... Who are you?" The downed man whispered.

"Smithy, wake up!" Bain slapped the man to unconsciousness. He turned to Yan.

"Young master, he is indeed a member of the Xiao Family guard! He is severely injured!" Bain stated as he acted truthfully.

"See? Jia-Lie Ao?" Yan flatly replied.

"BULLSHIT!!! THAT IS TOO UNBELIEVABLE! HE ISN'T FROM YOUR FAMILY! THE CLOTHES AREN'T EVEN THE SAME, AND HE HIT HIM!" The noble shouted from outrage and disbelief.

"Are you saying that you know all the Xiao Family's guards?" Yan suddenly asked.

"Well... No-"

"He is indeed one of our camouflaged guards!" Bain stated as he looked truthful.

"Jia-Lie Ao, you brutally beat one of our guards who didn't do anything wrong, so in your words, isn't that a declaration of war? If we fight back, it counts as self-defense!" Yan bullshit-ed as hard he could that he learnt from Mark, the master of Bullshittery.

#Flashback Starts#

"You know how to do 'that' ability?..." Yan asked his adopted older brother in search for wisdom. Mark sagely nodded.

"Yes, the powers of bullshittery can be used when in the right time and place to occur. Otherwise, you would be screwed." Mark explained.

"How does one know that time and place?..." He asked in confusion.

"You'll know. You're the MC..." Mark answered.

#Flashback Ends#

"Surrond them!" "Yes sir!" They did, and surrounded the seething noble in hatred as he grit his teeth.

"Okay, okay! You win for now! We'll leave!" The noble grit his teeth and left without a second thought from the embarrasssment and bullshit Xiao Yan just pulled.

"See ya!" Yan trolled as he hit the final of the cofin.

"Young Master, we'll be going now." Bain farewelled respectfully.

"Thanks Bain!" Yan thanked the smiling guard.

Xiao Yan turned to Xun-Er. "Xun-Er, you are like my little sister, no matter what happens from now on, stand behind me! I'll protect everything from you!" He promised, making Xun-Er stare at Yan in gratitude.

'Xiao Yan Ge-Ge...' She giggled as how warm Xiao Yan was. Yan grabbed her hand together and searched for the Monster Cores.

...

A few minutes later, after searching the marketplace, Yan spotted a green crystal in one of the merchant's stores. It was a Monster Core!

"YES! I found it! Xun-Er, look!" She looked at where Yan pointed at. It was truly a Monster Core, green and crystalized.

When he reached for the Monster Core, he noticed/sensed something from the metal piece that was next to the Core. He stared at the piece of metal as he held the Monster Core.

'Hey, Xiao Yan Zi, buy that piece of metal, it might be good stuff...' His master spoke in his mind.

'Okay!' He decided to trust his master's actions.

"Hey! Keeper! What kind of monster did this Core came from? And do you have more of these?" He asked the shopkeeper who rubbed his hands like a typical cliche business man.

"Good eye, this is a Wooden Monster Core from a level one Everwood Fox. If you want it, I can sell it for 500 gold coins... For each one..." The shopkeeper suggested.

Yan's narrowed in suspicion. "Too expensive. A normal level one Wooden Core is around 400 to 450 gold coins, and an Everwood Fox, isn't that rare." He stated.

"Customer, our mercenaries killed 5 Everwood Foxes just to get this one core, a lot people got injured, so it's a bit more expensive..." The shopkeeper made an excuse as Yan noticed it.

'I only have a limited budget for only one Monster Core... Sorry Mark, I couldn't get you that Monster Core that you wanted if I wanted to...' He thought sadly.

"But 500 is impossible. Be honest, and lower your price!" Yan demanded.

"470, and no less!" The shopkeeper dealed.

"470... I can go with that... But..." He grinned mischeiviously as he grabbed 470 different objects, including the piece of metal that he saw, carried them in his arms.

"470 plus all these, okay?" He said. And the shopkeeper nodded.

"Deal! Thanks for the business!" The shopkeeper agreed.

'Those things were super cheap, anyways...' He thought in confusion.

"Xun-Er! Let's go home." He left the shopkeeper's store with a lot of things in tow. The shopkeeper waved his arms furiously as he farewelled the customer.

"Take care and come again!" He shouted back and held in glee as he had 470 gold coins.

"470 gold coins! Profit! Profit!" The shopkeeper laughed.

...

Yan sighed. "What am I going to do now, as I didn't get Mark's Monster Core..." He replied in sadness.

Xun-Er suddenly giggled. He raised an eyebrow in confusion. As she revealed that she had another Monster Core in her hands.

Yan's jaw dropped in shock. "Xun-Er! Where did you get that?!" He asked.

"After Jia-Lie Ao crushed his own bracelet, I took the perfectly fine Monster Core on the ground for Mark to take instead if we didn't get a Monster Core!" She answered. Yan looked at Xun-Er in gratefulness.

She gave it to Yan. "Give it to him as I gift for his kindness and wisdom. Tell that he was right on 'That' part all along!" She replied. Yan raised an eyebrow.

"Okay... But good job, Xun-Er!" Yan praised Xun-Er.

...

Xiao Yan set the materials that he bought from the marketplace to his room in the Xiao Household. Later Mark came to obtain his Monster Core.

"So this is a Monster Core... Fancinating..." Mark eyed the Monster Core more closely.

"What can you see?" His master asked, as he grew curious.

...

"Stuff. Lots of stuff. This is a naturally crystallized object made from Natural Dou-Qi energy, and Normal Dou-Qi energy. It's full of Wood Type Dou-Qi energy, and that's why people use it for elixirs and weapons..." I theorised the endless possiblities of Monster Crystals.

"But what about this piece of metal? What's so special about it?" Yan asked as he held the piece of metal. He sensed a lot of Dou-Qi energy, but formed and controlled, inside the piece of metal.

Lao eyed the piece of metal. "Tch, what do you know... The person who forged this piece of metal is probably another receptarier. This metal, only people with extradordinary spirit sense can sense the trick inside! You sensed it too, Mark?" Lao checked. I nodded.

"Trick inside?" Yan replied.

"There seems to be a Dou-Qi skill inside!" Lao explained surprisingly, as held the piece of metal in front of him. I blinked as I now learnt that receptariers can store Dou-Qi skills inside metals. That was new. You learnt something new everyday...

"Really? What level?!" Yan shouted excitedly. Lao sighed in disapointment.

"Hmph. Not that good, only a lower level Xuan skill..." He explained. What was the disapointment?

"Worth it! A lower level Xuan Skill!" Yan's eyes gleamed in excitement.

"It's only a lower level skill, why are you excited?" Lao asked in confusion.

"A skill like this is worth 10,000 Gold coins! And I got it from a piece of metal!" Yan answered.

"And I'll need that piece of metal. I need it for research." I added.

"A Xuan class lower level, I wouldn't even look at this skill of level... However, Mark's knowledge would make it more powerful or useful if we change it a bit..." Lao turned to me.

"Then what's the skill?" Yan asked in curiousity.

"Let me look." Lao added his own Dou-Qi to the piece of metal. It showed words made of Dou-Qi from the metal itself.

Vacuum Punch:

Xuan Lower Class Level, if trained to maxium, it can suck boulders of tons of weight, when in battle, it creates a violent vaccum force which forcibly sucks the blood from a body.

"Vaccum Punch? That's awesome! Everyone will die if they don't have blood, right?" Yan asked in awe. I nodded.

"Yep. A human body can't live without blood. With this, I can reverse-engineer this to make you allow Force Pull... Though I don't know why it's called 'Vaccum Punch', although 'Vaccum Pull' would be more appropriate..." I mused. I could teach Yan the Sith and Jedi techniques of the Force... Though I still needed more info.

"But it can't be used on someone in a higher level than you. You'll just pull a higher level that is stronger than you from the 'Vaccum Pull', and then you'll be screwed..." Lao stated the combat abilities of the 'Vaccum Pull'.

"Or he'll just chuck them off a cliff... Star Wars Battlefront 2 logic people! Throw people off the map, it works!" I added. Lao and Yan looked at me confusedly. They didn't get the joke...

"Though, with his Third Stage, he wouldn't suck anyone's blood. More, he would pull only small rocks.." Lao stated. He threw the piece of metal casually over to his shoulder.

"Ah, don't throw it!" Lan shouted as he caught the piece of metal before it could hit the ground.

"Forget that piece of metal! We'll get to that later. Time for the main event!" Lao said as he levitated the ingredients that Yan bought with his own Dou-Qi.

"Xiao Yan Zi! Watch closely, as I will make an elixir!" Lao focused his palms his own Essence flame. I looked at the show in mild curiousity.

This could get interesting.
