Escape from the castle.

Shaymin and Sylveon POV

It had been two days since Ashley had woken up and Shaymin had decided to look for the doctor that threated her.

He had however not expected to hear those omnious words.

He rushed back towards Sylveon, imediately wanting to share the news with her.

"Sylveon! Sylveon! We need to get Ashley away from here! This place is just as bad as we suspected. They are just a bunch of hypocrites!"

"Shaymin, calm down. What happened?"

Shaymin seethed in fury as he told Sylveon what he'd overheard.

"Those bastards want to use Ashley as a tool! I knew it was a bad idea to leave. This place is even worse than home. We need to find a chance to escape and ask Lord Yveltal for help. At least he can fly us out of here."

Sylveon nodded in agreement, yet was still a bit hesitant.

"Then what about N? Ashley has gotten quite fond of him. She also doesn't want to leave here."

Shaymin didn't seem to get what was troubling Sylveon.

"We just need to make sure Ashley stays safe. We promised Lord Xerneas, as did we to ourselves. It isn't just because of the promise anymore. We like her for who she is, she is our trainer. We need to get her out of here, otherwise we'll never know when she'll stop being the happy girl she is."

"I understand. I'll ask Ashley if she can get Lord Yveltal to come here. If not, we'll have to find a way to escape by ourselves."

Sylveon nodded as she went to find Ashley.

When she did, she found that Ashley was still unconscious.

Having not other alternative, she placed Ashley on her back, securing her with her feelers.

Running down the corridor, she followed Shaymin as he guided them past unsuspecting grunts, towards an unused sewage system.

"I found this place when they were still constructing it. It should be a safe way out."

Shaymin went forwards, stopping around every corner, looking for danger.

Proceeding without any problems, they eventually saw light at the end of the tunnel.

Standing above a cliff, they looked out over a big forest.

The sky was just darkening, casting an orange glow across the sky.

At the edge sat a group of Altaria and Swablu, ready to depart.

Shaymin stepped forward, waving at the closest Altaria.

"Can you help us!"

The Altaria looked around only to see a little Shaymin, Sylveon and a small human.

Puzzled by the view, she moved closer.

It looked closely at the sleeping little girl, her face awfully pale.

"What's the matter? Is the little one sick?"

Shaymin for a moment didn't know how to react.

She was sick, but humans did it, so technically she wasn't sick as much as she was poisoned and deceived.

"Sort of. It was done by the humans in the castle, so we need to leave quickly."

Altaria was momentarily stunned. How could humans be so vicious even to their own kind? They were really heartless.

"Of course. I'll take you with us. You won't be that heavy, so we'll take you. But only to our next destination. It shouldn't matter to you that much right? At least you'll be away from this place."

Shaymin nodded in agreement.

"Thank you. That will be fine."

Altaria flew back to her group, shortly explaining, after which two other Altaria came with her.

"They agreed to take you with us. We'll depart tomorrow at sunrise. You can currently stay with our flock."

Shaymin happily agreed as he and Sylveon moved Ashley towards the group.

They were just in time as the moment they were hidden between the Altaria, grunts appeared.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

"They couldn't have gone far. Find them, or Lord Ghetsis will have our heads."

Flashlights shone through the sewage tunnel, as the grunts searched every inch.

"Lord Giallo, reporting. We've found no clue of Ashley. The organisation that took her must've erased their traces when they slipped through our security."

An angry grumble sounded in agreement.

"We must find them. Lord Ghetsis has plans for that girl that could further our plan as well. Contact Rood and Zinzolin. Let them send grunts to scour through the forest, while Gorm and Bronius will search the sky for any foreign activity."

The grunts nodded as they ran away to complete their orders.

Giallo sighed as he overlooked the forest.

A ringing noise broke the silence as a grunt connected the call.

"Lord Giallo, Lord Ghetsis want to speak with you."

Giallo froze, after which he took the communication device.

"Lord Ghetsis…"

"Have you found her?"

Giallo was interrupted as Ghetsis asked straight to the point.

"We haven't."

"How come that the little girl manages to disappear as soon as there is good results from the research. There must be a breach somewhere in our information network or a spy. Find out where the breach is and eliminate it."

"Yes…"

"And Giallo?" A cold sweat drenched Giallo's clothes at the cold voice of his Lord. with a quivering voice he responded.

"Y-yes?"

"Find the girl. There is no room for failure."

"Yes, Lord Ghetsis."

The call disconnected as soon as Giallo had responded.

"F**k! How am I supposed to find that brat if there are no traces whatsoever?"

Giallo cursed as he went back towards the castle.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

"Are you awake?"

Altaria nudged her head against Shaymin and Sylveon.

Sylveon sleepily looked at Ashley, only to see her still unconscious.

Shaymin nodded as Altaria ruffled her wings.

"We'll depart now towards the feeding ground. When we've eaten, we'll head towards a small village called Sandgem town. It's far away from this region, situated in the Sinnoh region. The people there are kind, so the small child will fit right in."

Shaymin nodded again in consent, as he didn't know where they currently were, don't even mention where Sandgem town was.

At least anywhere was better than this castle.

"Then as soon as everyone is up, we'll leave."

While Altaria had said now, most of the other Altaria were still fast asleep and were slowly nudged awake.

While waiting for the rest to wake up, footsteps were again heard.

Just like before, they hid between the Altaria and the Swablu, to avoid being discovered.

The moment the source of the footsteps came into view, they lowered their guard.

"What are you doing here?"

Shaymin said, as he looked with disdain at N and the other two girls beside him.

"Where's Ashley? Is she alright?"

N worriedly asked, as he looked behind the Altaria, only to see Sylveon and a sleeping Ashley on her back.

"Of course she isn't! What did you expect when she didn't open her eyes for days? I knew we couldn't entrust you with her!"

Shaymin began to curse on end, after finally having found a relief point for all his anger and anxieties.

"If she hadn't gone with that man, none of this would've happened. She could've stayed safe inside the research institute! At least she wouldn't be used as some tool for shady people!"

Huffing in anger, Shaymin's leaves ruffled up in agitation.

N showed a pitiful figure as he bore all the cursing and harsh words.

"I-I apologise for what my father has done. I don't know what he wants to do, but he must've had good reasons! He isn't a bad person!"

"That's not for you to decide! We'll keep Ashley safe! At least she'll be able to lead a relatively normal life."

"I understand. Even if I might come over presumptuous, I hope I can meet her again in the future. When everything has cooled down a bit."

"We'll see. At least keep that creepy dad away from us!"

"I promise. So will Concordia and Anthea. I will see for myself which future my father has chosen and which path he will take."

The girls beside N, Anthea and Concordia, both nodded at N words, completely agreeing with what he said.

"Then, when everything at your end has settled down and you've found your answers, you can find us at Sandgem town in the Sinnoh region. At least, that is our current destination."

Shaymin said, all calmed down as he only looked tiredly at N.

"I understand. Until then."

He threw the small cube which had hung on his waist towards Shaymin.

"At least she'll have something to remember me by."

At the final words of N, all the Altaria had woken up, lifting off with the three of them on their back.

"I hope the answers you're looking for won't disappoint you."

Shaymin's response send a shiver down N's back, as he already felt that something was wrong with the way his father did things.

But for now, he would see how things went, hoping for the best.
