Leaving for new haven

at 2 AM I was listening to the radio when another transmission aired stating that a large zombie tide is ripping through the city i was the only one awake at the time i quickly woke everyone up we have to leave theres a large zombie tide coming this way lets go everyone scrambled to get their weapons i ran outside to start the bus we couldnt take the truck or semi truck because i could already hear the screeches from down the street there were strobe lights installed on the front of the bus i quickly started the bus up while everyone ran inside carlos quickly opened the gate then ran in closing the door behind him jack got on the back turrent while Vic got on the top one i told them to only shoot when the hoard gets too thick or a special reveals itself I stomped on the gas crushing all the stray infected out of the way we heard screams of terror then we witnessed an extremely bulky infected smashing some some survivors to death the radio was blaring with the screams and desperation of the others who were caught in this shit storm so i put the only cd i had in it was the doom eternal sound track that i pre ordered with the game the doom hunter was playing at the moment it was horrible outside the tide had cought up there were hunters trying to rip the welded bars off the wondows luckily we had finished refitting the bus first before doing both the trucks the bus currently has a battering ram with sharpened spikes the windows have welded bars that are wrapped in barbed wire while the back of the bus has large iron sheets welded into the back with a lmg attached on with a tiny slit for seeing out same with the emergency exit on the roof the wind shield also has iron sheets with large slits in it with welded spikes. I was heading to the military camp to see if their still standing also they cleared a route for retreat going into a tunnel that leads out of the city when we got there the soldiers were trying to evacuate everyone but some idiots had crashed their cars into the tunnel blocking it so i quickly rammed out of the way many vehicles were following us from behind we kind of became the vanguard i didnt realize it but i had a crazy grin as we were mowing down everything in our way all the kids were strapped down while vic and jack started to slide a bit at the end of the tunnel were more infected a hoard to be exact if we hadn't been in the front most of those behind us wouldve been overturned already the music was so loud that the kids couldnt hear the screeches of all the infected outside then a military humvee started to drive next to us they pointed towards the radio so i paused the music then picked up the radio. Soldier 1: sir do you happen to be going to new haven because if you are all of us can make a caravan for added safety theres been reports of mysterious animals prowling about if you do join us as the vanguard we can promise that you will be rewarded when we get there. Siegfried: It depends what are we gonna get out of this because thats putting my people in danger my terms for being the vangaurd is all of our spent ammunition will be replaced also when we get there i want a decent acomodation for me and 8 others. Soldier 1: we can do that but the housing problem will be decided when we get there as we do not know how many have gotten there before us do we have a deal sir. Siegfried yes that can work what beasts have been have been seen in the area. Soldier 1: There have been sightings of a pack of large dogs the size of small cars then theres been a sighting of a rabid boar the size of a small bus then there was a bat that hasnt been seen in a while. Just as the soldier finished speaking we heard howls then i saw three large hounds charging at us i quickly rammed one then vic shot the others then everyone behind us ran them down to meat paste when i thought it was over a large dog slammed into the bus denting it sasha quickly hurled acid at its eyes then i rammed into it lost balance then jack lit it up with the machine gun nest in the back we quickly continued on after a couple hours they asked us to slow down and park at the truck stop we obliged and started refueling when we were aproached by the staff sargent of the group he introduced himself as felix. Felix nice work there not sure what wouldve happened if you didnt kill those things especially that large one that dented the bus. Siegfried: How long till we reach new haven it seems theres more beasts here than last time also have you had any contact with new haven. Felix yeah they checked in with us after you killed those large beasts they said something about some gang reaking havok a couple miles up robbing lone survivors and small caravans.
