Chapter 19: The Dream

Whilst Jake was unconscious he was having a very strange dream, in this dream, he was in a Greek styled auditorium that seemed to be floating on clouds, in the auditorium, there were hundreds of people with angelic wings.

Jake tried talking with some of these people but when they would reply to him he could not hear what they were saying, the only sound he could hear was as if their voices were underwater.

Not being able to talk to any of them he started to wonder about the place, he started by walking towards the edge of the clouds and looking down, as he did all he saw was fire and humanoid looking creatures trying to climb up.

Quickly turning around he ran up the auditorium and up a staircase that was in the back, here he came across a man who was stood seemingly waiting for someone.

???: Finally, It's nice to meet you Jake

Jake: Wait, I can hear you, who are you? Where am I?

God: Well to answer your first question, I am your creator, the one you call God

Jake: Holy shit

God: Please, watch your language, I'm afraid I cannot answer your second question as of yet, maybe one day

Jake: So why exactly am I here

God: Good question, I'm not sure, I have not spoken with someone like you for thousands of years

Jake: Someone like me?

God: Yes, a newcomer like yourself

Jake: I have so many questions

God: Well I don't think you will be able to ask them, it looks like you are waking up

Jake: What, no I can't not yet

As he said that Jakes vision started to go fuzzy and he could barely make out anything, he could still hear Gods voice

God: One day you will return here, hopefully, then we can talk more

With that Jakes, vision went black and everything fell silent.

Jake opened his eyes and jolted forward in his bed, as he did his first thought was why his head hurt so much, getting out of his bed slowly and putting his clothes on as he made his way out his room stumbling down the hall he came across Taka who was carrying some towels, as he sees Jake he drops the towels and goes to assist him by holding him up

Taka: God you look rough, Glad to see you awake though, how are you feeling

Jake: It's like the whole place is spinning and my heading has a beating drum in it, what exactly happened to me?

Taka: *laughing* I'll explain everything once we get to the other masters

Taka then lead Jake into the kitchen area here all the other masters are met having lunch and as Jake and Taka stumble in they all stop and look at Jake, hey all then start applauding Jake and give him a hand to the table where Gabrielle is sat

Gabrielle: So is everything okay, looks like you made it through

Jake: Sure everything seems fine, other than I have no idea what is going on

Gabrielle: Ah yes a common side effect, well what's the last thing you remember?

Jake: The last thing I remember is

As Jake thought back, he started to remember everything that happened

Jake: OH YEAH, I drank form the Holy Grail, I also had a very strange dream

Gabrielle: Oh, really, what about?

Jake: Nothing much really, I was in a strange place and kind of met God, that's it really

Gabrielle: Hmm, I've not heard that before

Gabrielle then sent 2 other masters out of the room both leaving and turning the corner out of view,

Jake: so how long exactly have I been asleep for?

Taka: two weeks

Jake: What?

Gabrielle: Yep you've been out for two weeks

Jake: Also where's my sword

Taka: They are getting it now

As he said that the two masters returned holding Jake's sword, handing it to Jake he looked down at it noticing the cloth that was wrapped around it.

Gabrielle: Now you are probably wondering why it's wrapped up

Jake: kind of

Gabrielle: Well it's for your sake, you see your powers are only just starting to flourish, now that you have drunk from the Grail your powers have had a massive boost and if you unsheathe your sword they will burn you up and kill you

Jake looked down at his sword and gulped at the thought of the immense power.

Jake: So when will I be able to use my sword again

Gabrielle: Not until you have complete control over your power, and can suppress it when you want

Jake: Any tips for that

Taka: Nope that's all on you, there are books to help but with your powers, it might be more difficult

Jake: Great
