This is not what I expected. I'm very certain that Rim is the one who choked me. There's no other person there besides him and me. That smirk. It still sends chills down my spine. From what I've heard, Rim was the one who called for help when he "saw" me collapsed. The doctor said it might be because of stress or exhaustion but I beg to differ. There's certainly wrong there.
The doctor signed a permit for me to go home and let my teachers know that I called in sick for the day. Even if I want to, Max couldn't accompany me for he has an important meeting to attend to.
Walking alone, I suddenly bumped into a guy. I tried to apologize but he sprayed something on my face, making me lose consciousness. The moment I woke up, I'm in an unfamiliar room.
"Oh, you're awake now..." a voice slightly deeper spoke. I look where it came from and to my horror, the guy looks exactly like me. But his feature is more on the rougher edge and you can tell that he's not to be messed with.
"Who are you?"
"I'm sorry if I scared you. I didn't mean any harm to you..."
"Then... what do you want from me?" The guy sighed, took a chair, and sit in front of me. He removed his hood, revealing his reddish colored hair. He looked at me for a moment before speaking. "I think you don't remember anything. I'm Mil, your twin..."
Another twin? What the heck is going on? He might've noticed the confusion on my face for he answered the unasked question.
"Something happened when we're kids. Maybe that's the reason why you don't remember me. I can't explain everything to you but I need you to believe me..."
Arriving at our house, my mom greeted me with concern on her face. A million questions filled up my head. I want to ask my mom right away but the exhaustion took over my system. I just excused myself and went straight to my room.
It's already night when I came to. A knock on my door and it opened, revealing my mom holding a tray of food. She placed it down and sit next to me. I asked her the question and the look in her eyes is a mix of horror, regret, and sadness.
"I'm not your only son, right?"
"No..." She breathes out. After several minutes of awkward silence, she spoke.
"It was a stormy night when I gave birth to three sons. However, the last one doesn't have a heartbeat. The midwife took my baby. Our family is getting by and can't afford to hold a funeral. After several years, another accident happened and we lost your brother. We don't know if he's still alive. I'm just happy that he came back to us..."
"What do you mean...?" I looked at her as she smiled bitter-sweetly at me. As if on cue, Rim emerged from my door.
"Mom, dad's looking for you..." he said casually. I looked at my mom questioningly. She smiled and patted my head.
"Starting tonight, he's going to live with us..."

Mil's words still resonated on my mind, "Don't trust that guy... I have a bad feeling about him." I might be too preoccupied not to notice Max sitting beside me.
"Hey, are you okay?" He looked at me worriedly. We were supposed to be practicing a group dance performance for the upcoming club presentation. But apparently, I've been spacing out for too long.
"I'm fine."
"By the way, I thought you went into a different club." I looked at him, quizzically. "Coz I thought I saw you in the cooking club but I've mistaken. The guy even has red hair. I don't know what's gotten into me." As if fate proving his point, I saw Mil walking down the hallway, head down with mask on his face.
Out of nowhere, I asked Max if we could go on a vacation. Maybe I needed time to think. All this information is getting hard on me.
"But it's a school week, Dim!"
"I don't care."
With that, I grabbed him and went into my car. Without any preparation, we drove to the beach.
