Beacon 1

After Yang decided to let go of trying to catch me just a few minutes prior to us arriving at beacon, we wait in line alongside several other students, as we walked out of the ship and head down the paved path to the front of the school.

The show doesn't show how beautiful this place is.

"Impressive," I said, taking the scenery to heart.

"Indeed, wow..." Ruby and Yang said as they took in the entirety, the beauty of Beacon Academy

Yang smiled, pulling Ruby close, "The view from Vale's got nothing on this!"

"I like the place," I nodded.

"It certainly has this vibe that I like!" Yang added with a wink.

Ruby was hyperventilating; she was so excited her eyes sparkle with joy, she's in her dream academy and in her personal heaven, where guns float free, "Ohmygosh, sis! That kid's got a collapsible staff! And she's got a fire sword!" she tries getting closer trying to get the weapons and see them up close, but I pull her by the hood, raising her in the air, "Ow! Ooww!"

"Ruby, let those poor people and their weapons alone," I chuckled.

Yang gave me the thumbs up as she approached Ruby that was still in the air hanging by her hood, "Easy there, little sister. They're just weapons! And if you really want to see them, at least try to befriend them...."

"Yeah, I don't let girls see my katana just like that; they need to take me out first," I joked, getting a playful punch from Yang on the shoulder.

"Easy there sexy, my sister is way too cute to hear that," Yang winked at me.

"Sure, hot stuff," I chuckled.

Ruby ignored our conversation and just heard the part her weapon obsessed brain wanted to hear, "Just weapons? They're an extension of ourselves! They're a part of us! Oh, they're so cool!"

Yang points at her with a look that said, see I innocent as a bunny, "Well, why can't you swoon over your own weapon? Aren't you happy with it?"

I dropped Ruby, mouthing, 'I know.'

Ruby as soon as she lands, she transforms her weapon into its scythe form kissing it "Of course I'm happy with Crescent Rose! I just really like seeing new ones. It's like meeting new people, but better..."

"Jeez, you need new friends ASAP," I chuckled, as Ruby pouted.

Yang chuckled and took a step forward pushing her sister's hood down over her face, "Ruby, come on, why don't you go try and make some friends of your own?"

Ruby huffed, taking off her hood, "But... why would I need friends if I have you two?"

"I'm flattered Ruby, but it's always good to have more friends," I ruffled her hair.

"Sexy over here is right," Yang did the same, ruffling her hair even more.

"I suppose..." Ruby smiled, fixing her hair, back to normal, "you guys wanna hang out?"

Yang said as she slowly ran from us, "Well...Actually, my friends are here. Gotta go catch up. Kay, see ya, bye!"

Ruby then turned to me with puppy eyes,

"I don't mind hanging out," I said, giving in to the eyes of destruction, the almighty puppy eyes.

Ruby smiled, jumping backwards, but without noticing, she almost falls backwards into a luggage cart, but I stopped her midway.

I had stopped their awful first meeting, but the little snow princess was still mad.

Weiss gave Ruby a glared, "What are you doing?!"

Ruby, with a perplexed expression, "Uh...sorry?"

Weiss glares even harder, "Sorry?! Do you have any idea of the damage you could have caused?"

Ruby tilted her head "Uuhhh...but nothing even happened."

"Let's all relax, shall we?" I offered

Weiss stared at me for a long minute before blushing, "I suppose... nothing happened..."

I chuckled, "Great, I appreciate it,"

"How come you forgive me when he asked for it..." Ruby narrowed her eyes.

"He asked nicely," Weiss replied, not missing a beat.

Blake, the catgirl, approaches with a soft laugh, "I think it is because you like him." Ruby and Weiss look over as Blake approaches; Weiss is blushing, while Ruby looks at me, confused, "Does the heiress has the hoots for the tall guy?."

Weiss starts to panic, steaming with embarrassment, "I do not!"

"Wow, am I really that ugly?" I teased her, joining with Blake.

"No, of course not, is... that.... bye!" Weiss grabbed her luggage and ran.

"I also like you? So what's the deal?" Ruby whispered.

"Ask your sister," I chuckled.

"Ohhhh, she likes likes you," Ruby giggled.

As I nodded.

Blake smiled as she left, "It was fun, can't say I have the pleasure to mess up with a hair of the Schnee industry, see you around," with that the catgirl vanished into the shadows.

"That played out way different," I hummed.

With that said and done I continue to explore the academy with Ruby, she asks me about my weapon and what configurations I have.

But in reality, all I have is a plain katana that is super durable, but nothing more.

Ruby called my weapon a classic, and I think In a way, it is.

Eventually, we met with Jaune that was waving his hand at us "Hey... I'm Jaune." It seems he tried hard to befriend everyone, being that he didn't have friends here I could sympathize with him a bit.

"Dante," I smiled.

Ruby waved back, "Ruby... wait a minute. Aren't you the guy that threw up on the ship?"

Jaune smiled awkwardly, and so it began their conversation about motion sickness, with Ruby teasing the guy.

We walked for a couple of hours with Jaune as I surveyed the area, not many possible dance partners for me here, I did saw a girl that could prove to be Interesting, but besides that, this school doesn't have much of a challenge for me.

Jaune insisted on his point, making me think the guy should've chosen another profession, like being a lawyer, "All I'm saying is that motion sickness is a much more common problem than people let on!"

Ruby was laughing hard at this point, "Look, I'm sorry! Vomit Boy was the first thing that came to mind."

Jaune pouted, "Oh, yeah? What if I called you Crater Face?"

"Oh god, have some self-respect... don't pout..." I gagged, a grown-ass man doesn't pout outside the bedroom.

"Sorry?" Jaune smiled.

Ruby chuckled, "Hey, that explosion was an accident!"

Jaune chuckled back, "Well, the name's Jaune Arc! Short, sweet, rolls off the tongue - ladies love it!"

Ruby had a skeptic look on her face, "Do they?"

Jaune started to doubt, "They will! Well, I-I hope they will. My mom always says that... Never mind."

"I'm pretty sure your mom lied to you... but hey, who am I judge..." I shrugged, "is your mom blind... or really really old by the way?"

"That was a low blow..." Jaune chuckled.

Ruby giggled, punching me on the shoulder. "So... I got this thing!" she pulled out Crescent Rose and stabbing it into the ground.

Jaune smiled, "Whoa! Is that a scythe?"

Ruby nodded enthusiastically, "It's also a customizable high-impact sniper rifle!"

Jaune was befuddled, "A-wha...?"

"Big weapon goes boom..." I joked as I explained to him.

Ruby laugh as she cocks her weapon, smiling. "As he said, the big weapon goes boom!."

Jaune laughed, "Oh. That's cool!"

Ruby then proceeded to inspect his weapon, "So what've you got?"

Jaune immediately unsheathed his sword. "Oh! I, uh...I got this sword!"

Ruby pointed at me and me like saying, you two think alike, "Ooooohh!"

"I take great insult in that comparison," I narrowed my eyes.

Jaune, not catching our drift, continued, "Yeah, and I've got a shield, too!" he gets his scabbard, raises his arm, and expands the metal into his defense.

Ruby smiled touching the shield, "Dante over here, has a katana, I love the classics..."

Jaune smiled proudly, "It's a hand-me-down. My great-great-grandfather used it to fight in the war."

Ruby smiled, "Sounds more like a family heirloom to me! Well, I like it! Not many people have an appreciation for the classics these days."

Jaune smiled, sheathing his sword giving the thumbs up as if we bonded because of our weapons choice, "Yeah, the classics, nothing like them!"

"So, does any of you know where we are going?" I inquired.

Ruby looks and me, and starts to look around, "Hmm hey, you're right, where are we going?" She turns to Jaune

Jaune shakes his head off, "Oh, I don't know! I was following you two, Y-You think there might be a directory? Maybe a food court? Some kind of recognizable landmark?"

"It's a school for hunters... not a mall, but a map would've been common courtesy though," I nodded, he was right on that one.

Ruby laughs, "Then let's get going, time to find our way!"
