I was midair falling to what some would consider their death; I spun around using the momentum to slow my fall.
Eventually landing on the branch of a tree gracefully like a bird.
"Well, now, don't hide, Grimm!" I smiled as I jumped to the ground.
I walked for a couple of minutes, and it wasn't before long; I had a pack of Beowolves chasing me.
Beowolves are large, dark, werewolf-like Creatures of Grimm, and at best a warmup.
I'm stopped when one of the wolves jumps towards me, aiming to attack, taking a step backward, I dodge the attack and on the process cut its head.
As the Grimm dissipate and it's pack growl o chuckled.
"Well, this is going to be quite the day," I smiled as I started to dodge and kill the pack that decided to attack me simultaneously.
I wasn't even paying much attention to them; I was simply dancing among them, killing them, I've killed so many of this wolf-like creature before that I could do it without even looking at them.
As I pondered where to go next, a roar gets my attention.
An Alpha, bigger, stronger, badder, with a soft chuckle, I cut the last two members of his pack as I stood in place, looking at the beast charge at me.
I dodge the first attack taking a step to the left and cut its paw off, making the Alpha growl in pain.
"What a letdown," I sighed, jumping above the beast, dodging his attempt to bite me, and landing a few meters behind it.
The Alpha turned around with its missing limp and charged once again.
"Ni no Kata: Mizuguruma," I breathed out slowly before leaping into the air and vertically spinning forward while releasing a flowing attack in a circular motion, decapitating the Alpha, "Now where was I? Yes, finding a teammate..."
The Alpha was left behind to turn to dust, as I walked away from it.
More and more Grimm came my way, but I had resolved to find someone first, so I had no other choice but to keep on walking, and killing the critters on my way.
Eventually, I found the person that I would be stuck with for the entirety of my Beacon experience.
Pyrrha Nikos.
"Hey, Dante!" Pyrrha waved at me enthusiastically.
"Hey, I guess this means we are a team," I chuckled.
"Yes, isn't this great?" Pyrrha nodded happily.
"It is, so let's get going, shall we?" I offered.
"Sure," Pyrrha smiled, and we took off.
As we walked, I wondered, if any Grimm would force me to use my semblance, I discovered my semblance when I was twelve.
I called it Edge, it extends the cutting edge of any handheld cutting weapon far further than its' physical dimensions, as far as the eye can see, I can, of course, control how much it extends.
This, of course, doesn't give me more firepower, what I can actually do with my semblance is limited by the physical capabilities blade itself.
I practiced and mastered this years ago, effectively turning me from a close-range specialist to a mid/long-range one, extending my katas beyond their normal limitations.
"So, where do you think those relics are," I asked, tilting my head.
"The professor said in the temple," Pyrrha commented with a thoughtful expression on her face.
As we make our way through the forest step on some bushes. I hear a noise far away, the sound of bullets.
"Did you hear that?" I inquired, with a small smile on my face, it seems our classmates were having fun too.
"It seems our classmates are fighting," Pyrrha nodded.
We continued with our mission, and eventually, we find ourselves standing at the mouth of a dark cave, where drawings are seen to the side involving armed men against giant beasts, also known as cave art.
"This seems to be the place," I said gently touching the wall, "So let us find our piece and leave, shall we?"
"We shall," Pyrrha smiled.
We proceed to walk inside the cave, with me holding a short, burning torch to light our path, or to be precise Pyrrha's path, I could see very well in the dark.
But something is certain this is not the place we were looking for.
"I think we have to keep going, one would think the professor would hide the item in an old cave, but I suppose he doesn't like cliches," I chuckled, feeling for some reason the atmosphere getting warmer.
"Do you feel that?" Pyrrha inquired.
"Yes, I do," I nodded, with a faint smile on my face.
We that we continue onward through the cave until they we see a large glowing point of gold right in front of us, illuminating the dark cave even more.
"What's that?" Pyrrha tilted her head, looking at the item.
"A Grimm, a deathstalker to be precise," I smiled, unsheathing my katana.
Pyrrha looks at me, worried, "Maybe we should go, no need to fight just for the sake of fighting..."
"That's where you are wrong, Pyrrha; I live for the sake of fighting!" I smirked as I threw the torch at the beast waking it up, "There is no enemy I can't dominate, I always come on top, so stay back and let me slice the Grimm up,"
Pyrrha sighed reading her weapons, "We are a team, and I will support you,"
I stopped her with a poke in her head, "I don't share dance partners, now wait your turn..."
The deathstalker growled and tried to stab me with his massive stinger, Pyrrha shouted for me to look out, as she tried to block the attack.
Pushing Pyrrha down with one hand, I leaped into the air cutting the stinger off with a single swoop of my blade.
"Now, let's us dance," I smiled as Pyrrha questioned how did I move so fast while making such a precise movement to cut the stinger.
As I dodge the assault the deathstalker unleashed upon me; I started to inspect his body, thanks to my eyes I could see where to cut to maximize the damage, one of the reasons I managed to cut the stinger with a single precise movement.
The scorpion-like creature was slow but had a good defense, but even the mightiest castle can fall against the might of the sword.
Already bored from the dance the creature could offer, I decided it was time to end this fight.
"Ichi no kata: Hekireki Issen," I breathed out slowly, dashing forward, leaving a trail of electricity behind and slashing the deathstalker in haft with incredible speed.
I have honed this ability to the extent of being able to repeat the dash multiple times in quick succession, following the example of Zenitsu.
"Well, that was a disappointment...." I sighed as Pyrrha was still processing what just happened, "But I guess they don't get any stronger than that..."

[Pyrrha POV]
Dante was a cute guy with a fascination for battle; he could be friendly but cold at the same time.
When I first meet him, I knew that he was stronger than me, I have fought enough times to understand this.
But what caught me off guard was by how much.
He cut the stinger with such ease that he didn't even look at the creature.
But what really took me out was his last move, all I saw was him muttering something, and in the blink of an eye, he was behind the deathstalker.
A trail of electricity... no lighting behind him and the Grimm slowly turning to dust.
"How strong are you..." I muttered.
