When age rules the country, it’s hard to be young.

Trey runs away from the youth reserve, sure he’s no more than spare parts for a father he barely remembers. The Council of Elders has its own questions about the him. When Trey find the Underground and joins the fight to give rights back to the Youngers, he starts a chain of events beyond anyone’s control.

Generation Gap

He pulled up his computer and ran a search. Sure enough about fifty-five years ago a lab was closed down for doing illegal gene experimentation on children. According to the case notes they had been trying to freeze aging at some 'optimum' age. Several test subjects had been taken into custody, but not one was still living. There was always the possibility of a backdoor deal to increase funding. These labs and their desperate experiments to stop aging were almost as pervasive as the people who used children for their own pleasure. Joe didn't think either was an indication of a healthy society.
