Odo's eyes widened. "Charlotte and I don't have secrets-"
"Is some personal wisdom and ideas I wish to impart on ye, Odo, nothing more."
Charlotte nodded, while Jagger looked reluctant to leave. She grabbed his arm and with the steward leading the way, they exited the room.
The preceptor rose from behind his desk and walked around and sat on the chair vacated by Charlotte. "Our Order is in possession of fine lands in the southern area of England," began Preceptor Lucius. "We manage that land as a lord over his demesne. It is in our interest to ensure that land is used productively."
