Chapter 109: The Other New World

Within minutes, Roy was flying over the largest landmass on the other side of the planet. It was a massive continent that spanned from the North Pole down through most of the southern hemisphere. A ridge of mountains ten times the length of the Rocky Mountains on Earth spanned most of the eastern coastline of the massive continent. Snow still capped the northern and southern ends of them, with a dozen large lakes near the center that were flanked by green canopies of a monster rainforest. Some deserts were noticeable near the equator, but most of the continent was green with life. His scanners picked up traces of nickel throughout the landmass, but the most significant concentration was in the southern half near its eastern coastline. There were still hundreds of square kilometers to cover, but it was a start.
