Chapter 39: Tantrum

Their arguing gets on the last nerve remaining her as Didi slumps on a rusting barrel inside the warehouse they consider neutral ground and does her best not to scream at the lot of them for being ridiculous. Caricatures of people, she can only assume, not true folk with normal minds. How else can they justify the last ninety or so standard minutes yelling incoherent threats at each other over a sullen girl and a churlish young man both bent on causing Didi no end of aggravation? Her scowling face has to hold back all the irritation, a crust of unhappiness forming a wall between her and the strutting idiots who don't seem to care they've ruined her day with their pointless feuding.
