Wakefield Residence, Thorndon
"The affront of the man," yelled Colonel William Wakefield, throwing the 'Wellington Independent' newspaper to the floor in contempt. "How dare he! Do you realise who will read this? Do you?"
Wakefield immediately bent down to retrieve the offending newspaper off the floor and passed it to Dr. John Dorset, his closest friend. "Read it, what conclusion can you possibly arrive at when you read this nonsense?"
"Yes William, I've already read it, more than once may I remind you. And may I also remind you that your current disposition and annoyance is not conducive to your good health - for which I am responsible."
