Problems of Being a Demigod

Circe was currently walking into Babel Tower. She was wearing a simple black long sleeve t-shirt, black pants, and black boots. She currently wasn't wearing any armor either.

The demigod quickly made her way to the entrance of the dungeon, jumping down the massive amount of stairs to get into the dungeon.

As she neared the ground, she quickly used wind magic to slow her descent. Circe landed silently on the ground, quickly circulating mana through her body, increasing her physical abilities and making it so she could be ready to cast a spell at an instant.

Circe rushed into the first floor of the dungeon, casting blades made of wind to slice the heads off goblins as she walked past. Circe knew that she would probably have to get to atleast the 10th floor to have a real challenge, so she made her way down as quickly as possible, killing on the monsters she could on the way.

Circe was currently walking through a mist covered floor. She held her body in a relaxed manor, not feeling as if this floor posed any danger to her. After all, she was a demigod, how could a floor below the middle floors even begin to damage her.

As she began walking through the dungeon, the floor began rumbling. Circe tried to look around, but she couldn't see past the mist. So, like any competent mage, she spread her mana around her and began to feel her surroundings with that.

She noticed 11 large presences walking towards her. They had already surrounded her, so she knew they probably had some intellect. That or they just spawned like that.

As she focused on the magic surrounding one of the enemies, she felt a massive reptile like body. It walked on four legs and seemed to still be growing.

Circe's eyes widened in horror. She knew that she could take out one of these enemies, which she realized was an Infant Dragon, but fighting 11 of them would overwhelm her easily.

They were supposedly a floor boss and Level 2. While Circe could no doubt take a few of them out, the rest would simply overpower her.

As Circe was thinking about a plan of escape, she was suddenly thrown forward. Sadly, our young demigod was thrown right into the area of another dragon who slapped her with it's tail.

Circe flew back into the center of all the dragons, blood pouring from her mouth.

"O-Oww" Circe said while groaning in pain. The girl shakily stood up and began sending blades made of wind at her adversaries. The wind blades did some damage to the scales, chipping away at them. Sadly, dragons have high magic resistance and even with {Mage - SSS} providing her with magic circles to power up her magic, they could only chip away at the dragons.

Circe began to try and make a spell similar to her wind blade, a space blade. She would use the same principles as the wind blade, but simply use the space element instead. Theoretically, this should slice most things apart easily.

Purple magic circles glowed around the mage as she began to swiftly create the spell. Alas, as this wasn't a spell learned from a grimoire, or a spell she had already made, the cast time wasn't instant. So, as she began forming the spell for the first time, she was hit by two tails at the same time.

Coughing out mouthfuls of blood from being hit by the two tails that were swung on opposite sides of the group, Circe continued to try and form this spell while healing herself with Light magic.

After what felt like an eternity, and getting thrashed around by dragons while constantly healing herself, she was able to compress the space element into a blade like object.

Circe swiftly launched the spell and watched with a victorious smile as it easily cleaved the Infant Dragon into two. She watched happily as it exploded into a mist and dropped a magic core.

Unluckily for Circe, she was so caught up in her victory over a single dragon, she had forgotten about the 10 others.

Circe felt the air heat up, and she quickly realized what was about to happen. Circe made 3 domes around herself. The outer layer being water, going into a layer made of ice and then finally a layer made of stone.

Circe, from the inside of the dome, quickly cast ten more space blades around her, holding them still until she felt the water on the outside stop regenerating, signaling that the dragons had stopped breathing fire.

After about ten seconds, she felt the dragons quit, so she quickly dismissed her domes and sent the 10 space blades at the dragons.

Circe watched in glee as all the dragons collapsed into mist and dropped their magic cores. Circe quickly sent the stones into her personal dimension that Isis had suggested she make when she mastered Space Magic.

Circe plopped onto the ground and began thinking about why 11 floor bosses appeared around her. After all, it's rare for even a single one to show up, let alone 11.

The girl's first theory was that the dungeon sensed her divinity, even if it might not be as much as a full god's, and sent the dragons to eliminate her.

The next theory was that she was just unlucky. This was of course, probably not that likely. I mean, she's the protagonist, how could she be unlucky. Right?

The last theory she could think of was that the dungeon was simply messing with her. Once again, not as likely as the first theory.

So, with that theory settled for now, Circe quickly sent multiple healing spells onto herself and began her descent once more.
