The ship lulled gently as it drifted over the calm sea. The sun had long receded behind the horizon. The clear skies littered with constellations of stars twinkling around the waxing moon.

Tu ShuYin wanted to stay by Sheng Hai's side on the lower deck. The coldness had turned Tu ShuYin's lips purple, fingers red as he tried to keep himself warm in his thin cotton robes.

LiangLin had brought him spare blankets and pillows for the rabbit shifter to stay comfy. But in the end, Tu ShuYin had opted to shift into his white rabbit form. He nuzzled under all the layers of fabric to keep himself warm while staying by his mate's side.

The shifter had barely spoken - in fact, LiangLin was sure Tu ShuYin hadn't spoken to him aside from thanking LiangLin for giving him all the blankets. His gaze always rested over Sheng Hai's visage, a calm, unreadable expression on his noble features.
