Romanoff Dukedom: Repentance (16)

Ius' steps resounded loudly within the corridors of the mansion.

There was no place in the mansion that could help him relax, not even his room.

His bedroom was the most unused room in the mansion. Ius rarely came home to sleep or, at the least, rest. He would usually go straight to his office to either finish some paperwork or study.

Thus and so, he wouldn't find comfort in his room that didn't feel like it was his own.

Ius didn't know where to go.

Going outside was out of the question for him. He didn't want to encounter anyone who was oblivious of what was happening. He also didn't want to encounter anyone who knew what had happened.

Either of the two would make him reminisce of all the conversations he'd had that night.

His head was aching, almost as if his skull was going to split-open. He found it difficult to breathe, his thoughts blocking his mouth.
