Curse

Zheng Yuhan tucked her into bed. "Sleep, I will come to visit you later." He said, placing a soft kiss on her forehead. Wan Xieren nodded, waited till he left.

She saw how much he was struggling because of the wound. She felt immense guilt, stuffing her heart. She wanted to say sorry but couldn't muster up the courage to ask for forgiveness. What if he doesn't forgive her like he does?

"Sorry," she whispered softly, biting her lower lips. She looked around, the place was so different. It must be a dream right, how can such a place exist on earth?

Thinking of her past, tears flowed down. No one in her life ever treated her so well; if it was a dream she didn't want to wake up. She just wanted to stay in this dream, and leave like a real princess. If she wakes up she would be treated like an abandoned one, people will pity her, and some will hate her. Even her family will not accept her.

No matter where she was, she didn't want to go back, she wanted to stay in the warmth, which she always yearned for.

Wan Xieren closed her eyes, and dozed off; she was already tired from all those dramas.

Wan Xieren opened her eyes slowly, and looked around.

"Woke up?" A voice asked her, she was still dizzy and sleepy. She rubbed her eyes and looked at the direction the voice came.

Her eyes went bigger in surprise; the girl in the mirror in front of her was not her.

Black long straight hair, small almond shaped blacked eyes, flawless skin, sharp nose, and creamy rose lips.

Wan Xieren has never seen anyone who looks like her. She was weeping, but her eyes showed hatred and sadness at the same time.

"Who are you?" She asked and looked around, "And where am I?" she asked looking back at the girl.

"You didn't have to know that. Why did you take my life? Give me back my life." She shouted at her, as sobs left her mouth.

"Go back to your world." She said as she took steps forward. Wan Xieren took a step back.

"Please let me stay, I don't want to go back." Wan Xieren said, biting her lips to prevent herself from crying.

She became a villain again; she became a hindrance to another person's life, because she was afraid to go back.

"Sorry." She said as the other girl came closer.

"Sorry, doesn't change anything." The woman came closer, Wan Xieren took steps back, when she suddenly slipped and fell. It was pitch dark, only thing she saw was the woman standing and looking at her falling down the cliff.

Wan Xieren, woke up from the nightmare and sat straight on her bed and looked at her hands and touched her face and neck. She was alive.

"Juan." A hand stroked her head, in a teary voice. Wan Xieren was surprised by the sudden touch; she looked towards it and showed a woman in her fifties, patting her, holding up her tears.

She was more surprised she was still there, she didn't go back. The dream she had, the woman. If she was here where was she? Did she die or was she in her body?

If she was in her body, was she getting hatred and pity in place of her? She really started to hate herself; she was always someone who gave others pain no matter what she became.

She was really cursed, giving pain to everyone. First she destroyed her relationship with the prince, and brought shame to her family when she fell into the water. And when she opened her eyes, she pushed the person who cared for her and hurt him badly.

She wants to repent but she still repeats her mistake, and her tears won't stop. Seeing her crying suddenly, Fang Xie got worried about her.

"Juan, are you okay?" Fang Xie got up from her place in worry.

She just shook her head, wrapping her arms around her waist. "I am fine." She said, placing her head on her belly, as rivers flowed from her eyes.

Fang Xie noticed her daughter was different, her daughter never cried in front of her before no matter how big the problem was.

Chen Juan was a person who likes to stay strong unless it was too hurtful for her. Even if she was her mother, in the past she has only seen her crying a few times, she didn't like to show her weak or crying state to others. But today she was crying which surprised her mother more than anything.

What happened that day that made her so weak? Her mother asked Zheng Yuhan where she was. He told her that she didn't come to hospital and no one called her from the hospital, then where was she?

The only person who could tell where she went that day was her, herself. And her mother knew she would not tell anything to her.

But her mother feared that if she asked her what happened that day, she would break apart more. For now getting her back was more important than asking the past, no matter what happened she was going to be always with her daughter.

Chen Juan was busy watching out, when someone came in. She looked around and saw a man come inside. He was strong and bulky like a soldier.

He didn't say anything; he just went close to her and hit her, without any reasoning.

Chen Juan touched her cheeks, which started to turn red and swollen. She remembers about the night when her father slapped her knowing his affair.

She gritted her teeth and clenched her hand into a fist, not saying anything or looking back at him.

"You shameless brat, this is how you show your gratefulness towards me. You are so useless. A lowly peasant took away your man and you just stayed and watched," he said, raising his hands again.

"My lord, miss is just awake, please don't beat her anymore," the woman from before stood in between them and protected Chen Juan.
