Chapter 8

My life after my return to Fuyuki has gone almost completely as I predicted. And mainly consisted of three aspects the School, magicraft lessons from Zouken, and my self-studies. Grandpa was so delighted by my discovery and my new found magical talent that the amount of time he spends teaching me daily doubled, He is a strict teacher but I cannot complain about it. He even gave me a fully functional workplace for my research. He may grumble about my frequent use of modern technologies but that's all.

He also tried to have some of his worms to parasitize me but unfortunately, as beyonder, my body is too toxic for them to live in, something that he personally confirmed during one of our combined experiments on a rat that we turned into beyonder. Poor guy, he was fully sapient and till the last moment pleaded for mercy. I still see that scene in my nightmares, and I am more than sure that Zouken does the same experiments on human subjects. Just thoughts about it make my skin to be covered in goosebumps. That is also the reason why I do not do any sort of physical training. Bue to need to hide my unnaturally high physical powers from Zouken or he will turn me into the next subject of his next experiments.

Among all of that mess happening around me, school becomes something akin to the gift from god. It is only please where I can relax mentally. Fortunately, none of the clichés were protagonists of the series go to the same class as lucky transmigrator happened to me. So, no Shiro or Rin in my class. Yeah. About, them according to Bast's observation both of them are perfectly following canon. With Rin studying magicraft under Kotomine and Shiro wanting to be a hero of justice. Unfortunately, Bast was not able to effectively spy on Einzberns or Kotomine. Well, even so, she has almost digested her Spectator potion.

Unfortunately, my progress with the potion is not so good. Due to almost constant surveillance from Zouken, I was not able to act as a Detective, and without acting with the current rate of progress it would take almost 5 years for me to digest it. And so, I was thinking of the ways of solving this problem under the tree near one of many playgrounds for children when a football came flying straight to my face. Thanks to my superhuman reaction I was able to dodge at the last moment. And then one of the boys that were playing near me asked.

???: Hey, pass the ball back.

Let's say that I was slightly irritated. And so, I did something very childish. I threw the ball in the opposite direction.

???: Hey why did you do it!? Shirou bring the ball.

And then red-haired and red-eyed boy that just finished fixing the little girls doll said.

Shirou: Give me a minute.

And then he did just as he was told running after the ball and passing it back. Even though he was not one of the kids that played football.

Shinji: "So, that is the ultimate cooking machine and future dream of any female magus that sees him. Emiya Shirou. Well, whatever."

I was just closing my eyes and laying down on the ground relaxing when my rest was rudely interrupted for the second time.

Shirou: Why did you do that?

Shinji: Why I did what?

Shirou: Why did you throw the ball in another direction when they asked you to pass it?

Shinji: And why not?

Shirou: But they asked you for help. It was an easy thing.

Shinji: But I am not obligated to help. I am more interested in why you did it?

Shirou: They asked for help.

Shinji: But that is not the reason.

Shirou: I will help anyone who asks.

Shinji: Really? Then can you help me the ground is so cold can you lay your jacket on the ground so I can sit on it?

Shirou: Sure.

Then while sitting on the jacket I asked

Shinji: I am hungry now. There is some cash go buy a pack of chips.

Shirou: Sure.

Crack-crack-crack *Loudly eating chips*.

Shinji: Now, I have food but what about drinks. Unfortunately, all my money was spent on chips. Can you buy me some coke?

Shirou: Sure.

Shinji: SURE!!! Do you even know any other words!? "I was irritated, no I was furies, from the moment of my transmigration my main goal was survival. I wanted to survive because I was selfish, I love myself, and I want myself to live. And here someone who was completely selfless, someone who did not attach any value to himself."

And then I threw the pack of chips in my hand to Shirou's face.

Shinji: Well, you know what fine. If you have so much free time then let's go.

Shirou: Where?

Shinji: To the grocery shop and then to your house.

Shirou: My house?

Sinji: Yes, I will buy some groceries and you will cook them. You see in my house everyone cooks for himself, but I am terrible at it. No sane person will willingly eat my cooking. And why you will cook in the your house, not mine. Simple my house is too gloomy; I don't want to eat there.

Shirou: But, didn't you say that you spent all of your money on chips?

Shinji: I lied. Now, let's go!

And that was how I met one of the greatest idiots of Nasuverse.
