Vampire's ability

LISA's POV

"Lisa, what's wrong with you? Let me have my sleep! There's only 2 hours left before Jennie will arrive here!" Sydney slapped my arm to stopped me from tossing and turning my body beside her.

The three of them, Sydney, Saddy and Happy, decided to sleepover here so they wouldn't have to wake up and ran here if Jennie arrives. It's exactly 1 AM but I still couldn't find my sleep as I feel so anxious about the things might be happen once I step my feet on their kingdom.

I'm still shocked about the fact that Jennie is really a vampire, that woman who brought me to the highest tower in Seoul and punched me on my face, causing my jaw to almost disentangled on my face and just by the thought that she can do that with just one hit, still gives me the chills that I didn't want to feel again.

How am I supposed to live with a woman under the same roof, sharing one surname and possibly one bed to share of, if my life will always at the cliff of death?

How can I make sure that I will still make it alive after a month living with her, heck! even just a week was hard to think that I can stay alive in Jennie's arms.

She punch too strong for a petite body like her and it's not good for a frail body like mine. If I can only develop my strength immediately, I wouldn't have to go with her and I don't have to get married with that girl.

"Prophecy my ass!" I hissed.

"Goddamn it, Lisa." Sydney blurted out and sat up abruptly. "You know what?! Let's just have drink before Jennie arrives!" She said and rolled out of the bed to wake up her cousins who are sleeping on the floor. "Girls, wake up. Let's have a drink."

"At this wee hour?" Saddy groans but still pushed herself to sat up and shrugs Happy's shoulder. "Wake up giant. Lisa and Sydney wants to drink."

Happy groggily dragged herself up to my bed, taking the place where Sydney was lying earlier and continued her sleep with a light snores.

"Aish, just let her take some sleep. She put an all-nighter for 48 hours." Sydney said and throw an in can beer to us that I quickly catches and Saddy did the same.

"Where'd you get these?" I asked while opening the can and quickly chugged on it, grimacing at the bittersweet taste of the beer that perfectly brewed.

"I'm afraid that there are only blood wine and blood beer in that place, so I was going to bring these beers but it seem that you need them now." She sat on the floor and rest her back on my bed before chugging on her own can.

"I was just anxious about this idea of marrying Jennie." I sigh with a certain voice of devastation.

We fell on silence after they both chuckled, the sounds of the crickets outside my windowsill are too loud that making me deaf, a simultaneous sighs and the sound of the air coming out from my AC came out too loud for me because of our silence.

"Everything will be hard starting today, Lisa." Sydney said, braking the silence, she tip back and rest her head on my bed to look at me as I was sitting on the edge and staring down at her. "Please stay alive." She said worriedly.

I don't know if she was just encouraging me to stay alive in Jennie's arms or she's telling me to stay alive after the war that they were talking about, because if she'll ask me. It seems that she's scaring me with the thought of Jennie might kill me within a week.

"Honestly, I'm afraid to live with her under the same roof." I said lowly, eyes staring at the can and released a sigh of devastation.

"Me too, Lisa. Me too." Sydney chuckled before sipping on her can and wiped the spilled beer on her chin using the back of her palm. "I'm afraid for my life, I'm afraid for my cousin's life." I looked at her apologetically and smiled slyly. There's a fear on her eyes that she tried to hide but it's too late coz' I already saw it.

"You don't have to come with me, I'm sorry if I'm dragging the three of you in my trouble." I said and squeezed her shoulder.

"Nah, as you've said. I'm your guardian and your best friend, I also promised your mom that I will take care of you so you don't have to worry." She said to assure me, she pushed herself up from the floor to sit beside me and wrapped her arm on my shoulder. "I'd rather die while protecting you, than die without doing anything to protect you."

"Thank you, Sydney." I sincerely said and rest my head on her shoulder. "I promise, there's no one will hurt you. If werewolves are forbidden to that place, the King wouldn't let me to marry her only daughter because half of my identity is werewolf."

"Speaking of that." We both whipped our heads to Sydney when she snapped her fingers and sat on the floor in front of us then she looked up. "Why can't you transform into a wolf if you have blood of a wolf?"

"I don't know, maybe because I'm a late bloomer." I shrugged my shoulder and took a sip. Sydney and Saddy exchanged glances before bursting into a loud laugh. "What's funny?"

"Lisa, you've never tried to transform nor think of trying, how can you say that you're a late bloomer?" Saddy said which makes Sydney to burst out an obnoxious laugh. Happy shot her eyes open and kicked her cousin. Sydney fell off from the bed with a heavy thud and she winced on pain while rubbing her butt.

"What the hell, Happy?!"

"You laugh too loud, and it's your fault why she hasn't been trying to transform. You never let her."

I snapped my head to Sydney who's now staring on her lap, her hand tightened the grip on her can and crushed it, thanks God it's empty or the beer would spill on my floor.

"It wasn't like that, it's just that. She will have no control of herself if she turned into wolf." Sydney said as she tip back to looked up on me. "It's my job for you to developed your werewolf blood but I couldn't do that as I know that you won't have a chance to control yourself."

"You perceived?" Sydney asked.

"Nah, I saw it with my own eyes." She said. My brows creased up till half of my forehead and stared at her questioningly. "Remember when you found out about your mom? That night, you ran away from home. I followed you everywhere until we stopped in that particular dark alley, you transformed into a wolf, literally. I was really so happy that time but when I showed myself to you, you attacked me."

"I d-did that?" I asked in disbelief.

"Yeah, the anger inside you, changed you into a wild wolf, you didn't know how to control that anger inside you and you don't seem to recognize anyone when you're angry." She said and stood up, she put her hands on my shoulder and I look up to her. "And from that moment, I promised myself that I should never let you get angry again and I didn't plan to talk about what happened because when you came back to being human, you don't remember anything."

"That's why you are always the one who's facing my trouble." I said nodding my head understandingly. I stood up and we both facing each other, I reached for her hands and rubbed her knuckles with my thumbs. "Thank you for always being there for me, Syd." I said sincerely while staring on our hands.

"I'm not just your guardian, Lis. I'm also your best friend and taking care of you is my job."

"Thank you,I am really thankful and I understand why you're doing all of that, but this time, it'll be different, I need to get stronger so I can protect all of you. So please.." I trailed off and looked up to meet her narrowed eyes looking at me quizzically. "No matter what happens, no matter how hard the training will be, you need to help me get stronger." I said while smiling softly. "So I can beat Jennie."

"W-what?"

"One punch." I groaned and removed my arms at her and sat back down on the edge of the bed. "All it takes was one punch to almost send me to death. She's really strong! Do you really think I will stay alive after a week of living with that monster?" I said, fisting the mattress tightly and staring hard on my lap.

"Relax Lisa, she's not going to kill–."

"I can't promise you that." We all whipped our heads on the balcony of my room when we heard a girl's voice and my breath hitched when Jennie stepped out from the shadow. "Are you all ready?" She asked with her flat face. She glance at me but she immediately rolled her eyes and shifted her gaze at Sydney. "Syd, there's a little problem with your girlfriend."

"S-she's not my g-girlfriend." Sydney stutters and lower her head.

"Yet." Chaeyoung said behind Jennie, wearing her cute smile. "We talked to her about coming with us, we even revealed that were vampires, she asked about you and we told her that you're a werewolf–."

"The fuck?!" Sydney blurted out with wide eyes.

"She still like you, don't worry. But she was really shocked." Jisoo chimes in and jumped beside Sydney and even if she's not really that tall, she still wrapped her arm on Sydney's shoulder and she tiptoed, what a cutie. "Now, it's all up to you." We all looked at Jisoo and wait for her to proceed. We know that there will be another conditions about the situation. "You'll talk to her and ask her on your own to come with you or we'll turn her into vampire so she will have no choice but to come with us."

Sydney shrugged Jisoo's arm and without uttering any word, she ran towards the balcony and she jumped off. Looking at Sydney who transformed into a huge dog in the midair makes me to frown. Sana immediately followed her and she also jumped high then she transformed into a tiny bat. I'm still not used to see supernaturals with my own eyes and it's two of my friend for God knows how long it was. It's still make me uncomfortable even though I know that I am one of them.

"Let's just wait for Sydney." I said when the two vanished from our sight and they all agreed.

Chaeyoung jumped on my bed and try to continue her sleep, Saddy and Happy sat on the corner still drinking beers, Jisoo joined them and they talked about random things. My eyes darts up to Jennie who's still standing while her arms crossed and staring outside the balcony.

I am hesitating, wether to talk to her and apologize for what I did on the Lotte tower or just ignore her until Sydney return. But in the end, I heaved a deep breath and exhales exasperatedly before standing on my feet. She's going to be my wife and I wouldn't want to have beef between us just because we're both against on this marriage.

"Do you drink?" I asked.

"I suck." She replied shortly without sparing me a single glance, but she still manage to scared the fuck out of me.

"Can y-you be m-more civil?" I asked stuttering. She scoffed and turn her head at me, slowly.

"You're a pervert."

"It's y-your fault anyway, if y-you would have let me hold your arm, I wouldn't have held your eer.. y-your–."

"My breast?"

"Yah! How could you say such vulgar word like that!" I yelled. Jennie is so straight forward and I'm the one who's getting embarrassed here.

"Stop pretending like a virgin shit, Lisa. You're a woman with a dick. Do you really think I would fall to your innocent and pretentious look?"

My brows narrowed and tilt my head sideways, I am really offended. Does she really think that I have any fucking experience about sex? And so what if I have this, does it mean that I am free to use it with every woman? What's wrong with this girl?!

Jennie's eyebrows knitted and she looks like she wants to say something but her face went to being emotionless and she looked away.

I sighed breathily and shook my head. I chose not to say another word or we'll end up fighting again. I pad towards the other and sat down on the floor beside Jisoo.

"So.. you're a virgin huh?" Jisoo whispered and hands me a can of beer. My head snapped at her with wide eyes. "We're vampires, we can hear your thought as you're started developing you vampire's blood." She explained even though I haven't been asking her and that proves me that she's eavesdropping on us.

"Oh uhm I forgot about that, but y-yeah." I shyly admit and smile sheepishly. "Can I ask you a question?" I asked to divert the topic.

"Shoot." Jisoo cooly replied before sipping on her can.

"Is it possible to hide my thoughts so you couldn't hear it?"

Jisoo side glanced me and chuckled. "Yeah, only if you're gifted, because that brat princess was the only one can do it along with her Dad, Jennie is really gifted."

"What do you mean by gifted?" I asked curiously.

"She was born with unmatched powers, she's the strongest vampire, the fastest, her powers are beyond the King's power, which is her Dad." Just by the thought of Jennie's ability and powers makes all my fleece to stood up and I'm getting chills all over my body. I hugged myself and rubbed my arm to remove the goosebumps succumbing my body. "She can make her surrounding to stop from its movements, she can changed the weather and she's–."

"Stop, ok I get it. She's strong and I don't have any chances to defeat that tiny monster." I cut off Jisoo as I couldn't bear to hear anymore about Jennie's capabilities.

"..still a virgin." Jisoo finishes and whipped her head at me hastily and covered my mouth with her palm. "Are you fucking kidding me? Why would you want to defeat your wife?" The fear on her eyes are really visible and she steal a quick glanced on our back, when she shifted back her gaze at me, she was really scared than earlier and I don't know why. "Jeez Lisa! You won't last long with Jennie if you continue calling her like that!" She warns and she quickly wrapped her arms on me.

I really don't know what's happening, I was just asking Jisoo on how to hide my thoughts so they wouldn't hear it and the next minute, I noticed that we were already standing in the other corner of the room.

"What the–." My eyes widen when I saw Saddy and Happy transformed into werewolf and Chaeyoung, who's sleeping earlier was now standing in front of me with her arms spread out and blocking someone in front of her. Jisoo hid me behind her while rubbing her palms anxiously.

Even if I can't see what's going on because Saddy and Happy was blocking the view, I can still feel the dark aura emitting from that certain woman and it caused my body to froze. I felt it before, I think when we were in a restaurant and when we're on the top of Lotte tower.

"Get out of my way Chaeyoung." Jennie's voice was really different from her real voice. It's raspy and hoarse, not really deep but it still can make the whole room to vibrate.

"Jennie, stop it. You're not supposed to kill her."

"She called me monster, then let me show her what is the real monster."

"Calm down, Jen. She was just kidding. Right, Lis?" Jisoo asked me, looking over her shoulder and with her nervous smile.

"Y-yeah–."

"Shut the fuck up!"

I clenched my eyes when Jennie shouted. She's really scary! Oh my God! What have I done? Am I going to die? I shouldn't have called her like that, but on the other hand. I wasn't aware that she was really sensitive because I know that she's a harsh and rude bitc–.

"Call me bitch and you're dead."

"Holy–." I didn't have the chance to complete my phrase when Jennie popped out on my side, she came to my spot even though she had three obstructions and Jisoo froze because she did not expect Jennie to reach on me that easily. She pulled my arm and with her speed, she brought me outside the house and throw me on the ground. "F-fuck!" I winced in pain when I felt the hard ground on my back.

Jisoo tried to stop Jennie but the latter held out her hand on the air, telling her subordinates not to interfere and Jisoo and Chaeyoung bowed their heads and stepped back as they blocked Saddy and Happy, I couldn't hear what they were saying but those two werewolf who are supposed to protect me, retreat back.

"You are just a bug compared to me, don't you dare to call me anything as you pleased." Jennie said in gritted teeth while taking steps towards me causing me to shifts my gaze at her.

"I k-know!" I shouted while crawling backwards, not even daring to blink my eyes even once because her speed was not a goddamn joke and she can cut my head's off in just a blink of an eye. "I'm not as strong as you are, I didn't even said that, but w-what the f-fuck is wrong with you?!"

"That is also my question, what's wrong with me that you keep pushing me away and disrespecting me?!"

"You're a vampire!"

"And so as you, fuckface!"

It's true that I'm a vampire, but I don't want this, I hate being a vampire, I hate that I am one of their kind! I hate my mom and I hate Jennie because she's a vampire!

"Y-you hate me?" The anger on Jennie's voice changed into soft voice real quick, it still hadn't sunk in that Jennie could hear what was running inside my mind! "Why?" She asked again.

"Isn't it obvious? You are one of my mother's kind, the woman who dumped my father after giving birth to me, my dad killed himself because of that woman!"

"So you hate me because of your mom?" She asked chuckling, her eyes piercing on me disgustingly. "You're stupid."

"Stupi– me? I'm stupid for hating my mom who abandoned –?"

"You're stupid for instilling resentment in your mother and then lashing it out onto me." She laughed dryly and shook her head slowly, when she looked back at me. There's no traced of any emotion on her face, the softness, the anger and the disgusting look on her eyes are now all gone. All I could see was a blank expression, the expression I saw in her the first time I met her, the first time I saw those cat-like eyes beneath the whole mask on her face when we were on the underground.

"Jen.."

"Fuck off, Lisa." She growled and there goes again her burning gaze staring down at me. "You hate me, right? Then fine, hate me all you want, call me anything you want, be strong and defeat me if you can but listen to me shithead." Jennie bend over and lean her face closer. My eyes slowly widening and leaning back my head. "You'll hate me even more once we get married, nail it down on your small dumb head."

"W-what?"

She leaned back and stood straight with her cocky smirk before turning her heels and pad towards her friends.

"Jisoo, helped that wimpy nerd and bring her back to her room and I am the one who will train her when we get to the Kingdom, Chaeyoung, contact Sana and tell them to return, we need to go now before the sun breaks out."

"Yes, princess." Jisoo and Chaeyoung said in unison and bowed their heads before doing what their princess asked them to do.

Saddy and Happy turned back into human form but still looking at Jennie angrily and the latter just smiled at them with a tapped on their shoulders.

Jisoo ran to me and picks me up. "Sorry Lisa." She said worriedly while helping me to stand up on my feet. "I will try to convince her that I will be your trainer, but I cannot promise."

"Don't worry, I think I will handle it." I assured her.

"Jennie isn't allowed to train anyone because she doesn't know how to hold back once she was fired up, do you think you can make it alive until before the wedding?"

"She held back just now, and yes. I can make it." I said smugly and shrugged the dirt off of my pants. "Jennie may be the strongest vampire, but she's still going to be my wife no matter what the circumstances, she needs me to save her kingdom, so she won't kill me."

Jisoo stared at me with amusement all over her face and she started chuckling that turn into her normal obnoxious laugh, as if there's nothing happened between me and Jennie awhile ago.

"Good luck then, I hope you stay alive and that beliefs of yours will be true and protect you." She said and patted my shoulder while her heart-shaped lips stretching out and the amusement still engraved on her face.

After waiting for Sydney and Sana to return, they finally arrived with Irene. I was surprised to see my boss with my best friend and intertwined fingers. I looked at Sydney and even if it's dark, I can still see the blushed searing on her face, she quickly hide her face by lowering her head.

I stood up from my seat and pad towards them. "Hi ma'am." I greets Irene playfully and bow my head slightly. "So, uhm.. you two–."

"Yeah." Irene cut me off. My eyes stretch out and lips slowly widens and instinctively, I hugged her tightly and jumped giddily.

"Oh my God! I knew it! You liked her, that's why you kept asking me abou–." My words were cut off when I felt a sudden chills on my body that made me shivered. I slowly let go Irene and retreat back. My heart starts to beat abnormally, I can feel a heavy gaze burning a deep hole on my back.

When I turn to look on my back, I saw Jennie glaring at me. Sana, Jisoo and Chaeyoung holding her hands, as if they're refraining Jennie to move on her seat.

"Are we really going to be like this for the rest of our lives?!" Jisoo scowled and shoot me a dagger look.

"W-what's going on? What did I do?" I asked confusedly.

"Oblivious nerd!" There's this voice I suddenly heard out of nowhere, I'm sure that it was Jennie's voice but I am looking at her all this time and I never saw her mouth opened even once.

Is this the telepathy? Is this what Jisoo telling me earlier, that they can read my mind and hear my thought? But she told me that Jennie can hide hers, then why on earth I could hear hers?

"You're such a big dumb stupid oblivious fucking nerd!"

"Yah! Stop calling me names!" I shouted and between all of them. Jennie is the only one who gasped loudly, meanwhile the others are exchanging glances in confusion. "My name is Lisa and I'm not big dumb stupid oblivious fucking nerd!" I scoffed.

"Who called you with those names?" Chaeyoung asked, suppressing her laughter but she's still confused as the other girls.

"Y-you can h-hear my thought?" Jennie asked and this time, all of them gasped except me.

"Yeah! And will you stop calling me–."

"Goddamn it!" Jennie blurted out and jerked away all the hands off of her.

"Oh my Gosh, Jennie is in trouble." Sana whispered softly almost a murmured under her breath, but I still heard her loud and clear.

Is this what vampire's abilities?
